  • Hey do you give out the source code? tbh all i would want to see is the collision system, because i can't get a collision array working.

  • Well I had not been programming in VBasic very long when I made this so it is rather crude, but basically what I did was make eight variables, representing the four corners of the avatar and the four corners of an object, and then cycled through the objects and checked to see if there was any overlap in the squares created by those coordinates.

  • It was not inspired by IWBTG although I looked that up after reading your comment and I guess there are a lot of similarities... not only that but the vision I had for the game would have made it even more similar! Great minds think alike!

    Jumping I just used physics and made the initial velocity enormous. Platform movement was complicated. There is no enemy ai per se, they follow patterns.

    I've stopped working on this for now but I'm going into college next year so more to come!

  • where parts of this inspired from i wanna be the guy? nice game btw. wud u mind tellin me how u programmed the enemy ai, platform movement and jumping plz?
