@Kiralein37 Crysis 2 was designed to be more of a benchmark for the consoles, but using Manhattan they could lower the draw distance extremely, and lower the resolution of the textures.

Also, the controls feel like COD in C2 :P Crysis feels like Crysis.

HD5770 overclocks extremely well. I've seen guys running them over 1000mhz on air in some tests. Stability varies depending on how you use it though. Some benchmarks and games run at those overclocks and some don't. The 960mhz that the ATi overclock utility limits you to should work fine in most games and benchmarks but you really want the MSI Afterburner tool. You have a lot more options to max out your card. At this point, though, I'd wait for HD6000 to come out in November.

Oh, yes. Of course. Running that fast is only for benchmarking, though. Most games won't run at those extreme speeds. Like I said before, though, I'd just get one of the new Radeons. I already have my pre-order in for the HD6850.

@ZoldierrZzz There all the same specs just one breaks easily than the other, don't go with Gigabyte, there cards are cheap (in price and quality) there support isn't great, XFX is higher than Gigabyte there support takes a while but atleast they give you a answer, I haven't tried Sapphire so I can't say anything about it.

Its not really size that matters, its the resolution. My native res is 1366x768 (widescreen) and that's basically the entire root of my problem. If I ran this on a 1024x768 monitor, I'd get a good consistent 30 fps.

Crysis is a very demanding game, even for the ATI HD 5700 and 5800 series. Your low frame rates is most likely attributed to your AMD Quad 2.3 GHz (unless you have Phenom II series of processors).

Now I get frames that are much better then this video. The gpu is actually running cooler now also since i turned the fan up. It's awesome :-p

I'm not sure if that is the issue for you. Your specs are pretty much equivalent to mine (c2q @ 2.33ghz, 4gb of ram, Diamond HD 5770)

hi ^^ u should get the 5770 .. the 4890 is a really good card.. but it runns on old software .. so the 5770 will play the new games much better than the 4890 .. and the 4890 plays the old games maybe a little bit better than the new .. thats because 4890 has 250 kbs and the 5770 only 125 kbs ^^
