The oldest he can be is 47, and how pre-production work is going on for Batman 3, they're taking way 2 long. The only story where Batman is old is The Dark Knight Returns, and I don't think that's the best plot for a Nolan-Bale Batman.

I would rather them wait a few years and get a good film together and a worthy sequel, rather than just throw a few random things together and film it really quick. That would be the biggest mistake, coming off a movie like TDK. What happens is, someone makes a good movie, that gets rave reviews, and they get too excited and rush a sequel out, and it ends up ruining the franchise for themselves. I say if they're going to do it, they need to do it good. I'm willing to wait a few years.

This rumor is false again guys. I'm sorry to have to break it to you all. I was looking up a Comic-Con wrap-up and it stated that Gary Oldman spoke to AICN and said this: "Well, I'm sure they want to do another one. It might be two or three years." I am so dissappointed in Oldman, this is the second crappy news he has given us. Oh well, it looks like we will have to wait even longer. : (

I love that Oldman has announced this, but I read that Warner Bros. has not announced anything about a new Batman film, and is Oldman truly reliable. He had some other news last year which was a total bust. I am the biggest Batman fan you will find, and if this is true, and someone verifies it, then I will be the most happy person on this planet. TDK is my altime favorite movie and I think this movie could easily take the #1 spot as the greatest movie ever!!
