I saw this movie on September 14th 2001 in Lake Tahoe, CA Three days after 09/11. One connection here is that Mark Wahlberg was supposed to be on one of the planes that flew into the WTC but he was delayed and missed the flight. Spooky coincidence when I heard about it.

@MrJDLynch I'm not talking about Poison, Mötley Crue and these kind of shit. The real 80's METAL bands like Judas Priest, from which story this movie was inspired. For portraying the band like that, JP retired the support they're giving and disapproved the use of their name. Not even Tim Owens, the real Izzy, liked it.

This movie ends up portraying the 80's metal bands as a bunch of disgusting motherfuckers. At the end of the movie, Izzy goes back to Seatlle and join a grunge band. WTF? So you're saying that when a musician finally matures he leaves metal behind?
