This can't work because of simple math =/. since the delay is the same from left and right pistons they will expand at the same time, so the block ( glowstone ) will be "caged".

Hm. Wasn't what I was expecting. I saw the title and thought "I bet I could make some retractable lighting" so I got on minecraft and started playing around with pistons and redstone and all that and now, I have a wall which has 5 torches hidden behind it (each torch a space apart) and a switch which makes pistons retract the piece of wall in front of those torches. Why? Because it looks cool when they retract and also, it's always good to have hidden lighting instead of red torches sticking out

@BoneCollecterNGW no it does not due to the fact that glowstone is not a solid block anymore, it was changed back to "Glow glass" Sadly but there is an updated video on how to fix this. check his recent video's. :P

If you do, the torch is powering the block above it, which powers the redstone next to that block, which powers the block beneath the redstone, which powers the torch. The torch powers itself on and off until it burns out.

To fix it, either get rid of the block above the torch or replace it with a transparent block, such as a single slab or stairs.
