This is really cool! Takes me back to marching days with the LOER -- I marched 1984 to 1987. The selections in this show are "Emerald Point,"(transcribed from the intro to a TV pilot series of the same name) selections from "Six Wives of Henry VIII" (Rick Wakeman), "Caravan" (a jazz standard made famous by Duke Ellington) and selections from "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" (Britton). I thought this was spring of 1985, but I might be mistaken.
I was at this competition! Wow a blast from the past! Hey, where are the other CA bands that went to this competition, like Clovis West, Beyer, and Merced. I miss these days!
I marched from 1986-1990 and this was a blast from the past. It's been 20 years and I'm ready to enjoy again. Hey, Mr. Rubino, I think it's time to upload those archives online. BTW- Did anybody notice the Live Oak Emerald Regime jacket on So You Think You Can Dance last week?
No, we went to China in 89, we went to Russia in '86. Excellent video! I loved playing in Corvalis! That was astroturf and it was fun to march on. That band was one of the best experiences of my life. Do you have any others you could send me directly with better quality?

@davehirschler It was definitely not in the spring. It was the fall of 1986.

Wow, we were big. Now we're down to under fifty...
How disappointing :/ I still love our band though, no matter what size (:

I was there in the pit next to the timpani.
If I remember correctly Aaron Blas was the Drum Major, and it was the year you all went to China.
