  • Thanks for the advice. I hated l'oreal- The black waterproof flakes off -ugh. Maybe line stiletto with plastic like brush that skips color. Mary Kay is good. Haven't tried revlon one yet. Your recommendation is encouraging.

  • @mjhawaii57 I have to worn you on the Revlon colorstay liquid liner. I have it in the color black brown, and even though it isn't supposed to be very dark it's a huge disappointment! When I put it on you literary cannot see it at all. It's so so so sheer, it's like water with a tiny bit of colour in it.

  • I have wet n wild black eyeliner and it is amazing I love it so much I stated with it just last year I never used a pencil one i just used wet n wild

  • Am I the only obssesed with liquid eyeliners?

  • updated liquid eyeliner review? :D

  • You look so pretty and you look idk younger... in a way.. with straight hair, idk but straight hair REALLY suits you very pretty, great video :)

  • It was funny the way u said hello at the beginning hahahahahahahaaa

  • do you store them upside down?

  • LA Colors Liquid Eyeliner (You can get it at a Dollar Store) DO NOT GET IT. It burns so bad.

  • is relvon coloursay waterproof ?

  • What kind of Camera do you use?

  • I've worn every type of eyeliner available and finally hit the jackpot with the Revlon liquid liner that i'd been afraid of trying. The only other highly pigmented one i liked was the l'oreal black cream liner but even that would run at the edges for me after awhile. Good review.

  • I Just Bought The Covergirl Line Exact, Ugh Hate It.

  • thanks for doing this review.. how hard/easy is it to remove the revlon eyeliner at the end of the day? i don't want to be rubbing off my eyelashes if you know what i mean

  • i brought a felt tip sort of 1 for just £2.99 i put my eye shadow after i put my liquid liner it look nice xx

  • My friend Dianne Loves your videos! She wants to say hi

  • i bought the covergirl eyeliner and it dried out the next day. that cap was still on and everything........but i have another one in silver and it works great!

  • loreal eyeliners are good specially the intense black simply lov it.... so dark as well as easy to apply

  • My FAVORITE liquid liner ever is Palladio. You can get it at Sally's or on Amazon for like $6 and it's very black, very long-wearing (I don't know about waterproof... but I've never had problems.) and it's fantastic! A little tip though, for felt tipped liner pens: store them with the tip facing down. Not laying in something. Like, in a brush holder or something. Gravity works :) Great video, though!

  • damn i just got the covergirl line exact liner -____-

  • at the very least though, the covergirl liner is shakeable and slightly squeezable so that it can produce more of the liner.

  • you should check out the milani colored liquid liners! I just started wearing the liquid liners again because i had stopped for a while and they're AMAZING!!!

  • Thanks for the tip i almost bought the line exact liquid liner but after you mentioned it dries up after 3weeks, i changed my mind. good video

  • so whats the best liquid eyeliner?

  • i love the Revlon colorstay liquid eye pens. and i have a trick!!! store them upside down, so the ink/ product comes to the tip. this works for me. i hope it was helpful :)

  • i love your videos! <3

  • I use Lancome's liquid liner, it's great. I've been using it for close to 15 years now. I wear the eye liner everyday . It goes on smooth and easy and stays on all day. The tip stays wet until it's used up. On average the pen will last me about 6 months before I have to purchase again. Excellent product! Money well spent in my opinion.

  • are any of these liquid liners waterproof?

  • the covergirl one suckkkks

  • i like the revlon liquid liner the brush is great and it doesnt dry up or nything

  • try storing the pen tip eyeliners tip down that should keep it moistened so it doesnt dry out

  • btw LOVE the jordana eye liner pen.. it's awesome (so far, only had it for like 3 weeks and crossing my fingers) but it's only like $3 too and it's my fav! :)

  • omgosh was the sally girl the mini $1 one? hahah i bought it cause i was like oh hey $1 it's awful.. the brush doesn't move it's so stifff

  • Heeyy does the revlon one flake off or like crack???

  • This was really helpful - thanks!

  • awww. you look too cute! i'm so used to the 2010 you. =D

  • I use the colorstay one and at first loved it, but after wearing it for several months I started to notice it doesn't really stay. -.-;;

  • I love your absolute honesty. This helped me so much. THANK YOU EMILY<3

  • i should have watched your video before i went out and bought that lame pen, and yes now that you mention it the colorstay revlon pen does irritate my eyes, it makes me want to tear up. i guess it irritating. dang, wasted good 6$ on nothing :(

    thanks for the tips.

  • Thank you SO much, this helped me out a LOT :D

  • Revlon Color Stay is great but I can't stand the applicator. I have used liquid eyeliner everyday for the last 8 years so I have gone through hundreds. It really takes a while to get used to the brushes but they are the best once you get used to it. I also have the CG and I like it. The formula is great and mine didn't dry out at all.

  • A really good liquid eye liner with felt tip that doesn't dry ever is a brand called Color Sport 24 Hour Eyeliner which can be purchased from Boots in the UK or Ireland (Boots also have a website).

  • What was the video that you saw that had the tutorial using the turquoise eyeliner??? I'm excited to buy that liner!

  • Comment removed

  • i actually really like the covergirl line exact. ive had it for about 2 months now. no drying out. its like useing an artist felt tip pen, you absolutely need to shake the pen the keep it wet. and dont draw with the very point. ironiclly i bought it cause it was so cheap and i needed it for some neon costume makeupand never planned on using it again. ended up likeing it so much i continued to use it after my festival weekend

  • what do you use to line your bottom?

  • very helpful!! thank you

  • very good review. love your videos(:

  • You could try storing the felt pens in different ways. When it comes to felt tip artists markers you normally store them upside down or on their side. It's possible you put it in a cup with the tip pointing up?

Santee' liquid eyeliner in the sort of rainbow metallic inkwell is worth the buck for the brush. Super thin and comes to a perfect point. Was shocked. Formula's on the patent/shiny side. Still for a buck it's not bad.

  • nice eyes

  • I used the covergirl liquid eyeliner, the one with the felt tip. I don't wear eyeshadow and i had that same problem. It would end up just drying up. i loved how easy it was to put on, but after awhile it would slowly get harder to get it dark and then it would just dry up completly. it was almost like a dry erase marker, how when you write over it, it would just go away. i'm back to pencil eyeliner now. :P

  • thank u for this video !! im watching a ton of reviews to pic a whole new set of worth my money makeup!! thanks!!

  • drying out after 3 weeks isn't that big of a deal when you should probably buy another after 3 weeks anyway for hygenic purposes :/ the physicians formula and covergirl brands aren't very expensive, so i don't see the big deal about purchasing a new eyeliner after 3 weeks. i happen to love the covergirl line exact

  • Hmm about the felt-tip pen drying out: I wonder if storing the pen upside down would help draw the liquid into the tip..

  • where did yu get the mary kay liner?

  • thanks! I have spent so much on junk! I wasn't even pleased with some big designer ones..some even turn plastic-ish after awhile of wear or go on water color like and you go over an area that was fainte and it further erases your work! Ahhh... Oh and stay away from Aziza pensil eyeliner (works better on brows..won't go on soft area around eye, even if u burn tip. Their liquitd is bad also since too much product ends up on the stick part as well as the tip

  • l'oreal felt tip eyeliner dries up too!

  • i feel like the pen/marker liquid liners are great for beginners

  • I got the covergirl eyeliner to work by holding it vertically (straight up and down) when I apply it instead of holding it tilted or horizontally. I've had it for a month now and it still works really well. Everyone says that it runs out fast, but in reality, it's only a small tube, so there might be no more product left in it. Please don't give up on it, because if you want an easy eyeliner to use, this is it. All felt tip ones will dry up eventually, or run out of product. That's expected.

  • Thank You So Much For The Review!! <3 One of the best out there! I think im now going to get the Revlon!! <3 :D

  • OMG so helpful thanks sooo much I was about to go buy the cover girl line exact but I think im going to go for the Revlon Colorstay now.. Thanks heaaps :)

  • I bought the Revlon colorstay liner after I watched this and I LOVE it...thanks so much!

  • I used the cover girl and it always works and I have had it for like ever! The prob I have with the liners like the Mary Kay and color stay iner is that they look liquid when it's on. Just saying

  • I do not care for the Covergirl Line Exact eyeliners either. i got one in smoke about 2 or 3 weeks ago and it barlely comes out anymore. its a beautiful color when i do get it to come out. i wont be buying those again. i also got the maybelline ultraliner before and it is cracked by the time about 6 hours is up...not very good, and i wont be buying them anymore either. next time i go to walgreens/rite aide i am going to get some of the wet and wild and revlon color stay eyeliners. great video!

  • Hey Em, thanx for the review. I just went and got revlon liquid eyeliner and I love it! Before this, I made a big mistake of buying Maybelline ultraliner which I absolutely hated. It would peal off and clump up and had a strange shine. But revlon is awesome.

  • I just ran out & bought the physicians formula one,now my eyes are infected from the very first use this morning, what on earth did I do wrong?

  • Just because you got an infection doesn't mean it's from the product.

  • come to find out it had aloe in it which I am highly allergic too

  • Aw that sucks :( I'm sorry!

  • @bamaBECKY1982 lol, you should be more careful when you buy products. It is your responsibility to check the ingredients (or not purchase something without an ingredients list).

  • You look and sound just like Mira Sorvino, goegeous!

  • I love line exact. I dunno why, but it works so well for me! I usually get about 3months of use out of one tube, which I think is pretty good considering the price and how tiny the bottle is

  • I also am IN LOVE with the color stay liner. Though, I got the brown/black and its also AMAZING

  • thanks for this review it helped a lot because I couldn't decide on a liquid liner and looked at the Sally's one but something really told me not to get it.

    Thanks again.

  • My ALL TIME favorite was MAYBELLING LINEWORKS WATERPROOF LIQUID EYELINER...it had a GREAT felt tip too and had that little dipping pot so it never dried out...I am having the HARDEST time finding a replacement...i tried the Revlon Colorstay Felt tip PEN and HATED it bc it dried out in like a day and it the tip was so stiff it was uncomfortable to apply!!! However, bc you love the revlon colorstay with the dipping pot, i will give it a try!!! Hopefully I will have found my replacement!!! THanks

  • revlon has always been my pick too =)

  • L.A colors is really good it stayed on me for 2 days i think its really good

  • I liked the Physicians formula pen too..until it dried out sooner than later..

  • you are so awesome. i totally agree with you on the mary kay VS revlon!!

  • i know that wet & wild is cheap and not everyone likes it but i think some of their stuff is fun to play with and try. especially if you have a limited amount of money on you and you just want to buy something fun and cheap. i use L'Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Liner and it is the BEST out there in my point of view

  • @christina9271973

yeah mine color stay dried up in less than a month

  • awesome thanks for the info =)

  • i use loreal lineur intense in the color Carbon Black.

    it works good

  • @SellersDiva07

    yeah its my fave!

  • I just picked up the color stay revlon...can't wait to try it...thanks!!!

  • I love mac's liquid liner its says on forever .lol

    but gd vidio

  • wet & wild has great liquid eyeliner. I have several and that it my favorite!

  • i have the mega liners from wet and wild in almost every color and the plum one is my favorite because i dont have a lot of lid space under the crease and when i put black eyeliner it makes my eyes smaller but with this its shimmery so it open up my eyes and also its not really opaque so it helps not making my eyes looks smaller and if i mess up a bit its more forgiving than black lol so i really like it

  • soooooo helpfull! do you use the liquid eyeline?

cuz i love your eye makeupp :D

  • love it! i rmember i also LOVED almay 16 hr liquid liner :D

  • Haha, I don't like the covergirl liquid eyeliner either :/

    I LOOVEE YOUR REVIEW!

    THANKK YOU! :D

  • well this was helpful :] thanx!

i used the wet n' wild mega liner and it just isnt all too great like if i sweat or my eye waters a little it gets everywere and its extreamly messy! i wanna try that color stay i used a friends but it didnt show up on my eyelid too much? idk ill have to get a new one for me! but thanx again :]

  • i hate the cover girl eyeliner

  • Why? I'm wondering because I was going to buy covergirl. But now I don't wanna

  • i just got the wet and wild eyeliner and it is really good! i got it in a blue the number is 862 and it looks great on me! its blue for my blue eyes and looks rly good and shows up. I had the revlon colorstay one and i like it but its not all that dark on me but i like it

  • very helpful thanks

  • I just want to say thank you!!! You are the first person on youtube that I have seen do tutorials using normal makeup... The other girls use a lot of mac.. I like in AK and mac isn't the easiest brand to get ahold of...... Thanks Again!!

  • thnks alot (:

  • You should do a vid of how to do that kind of makeup style your wearing! really cute!

  • what if you shake it..does the liquid go back to the tip of the felt? :o

  • hey i hope u get time to do a video on ur new liquid liners..the purple and turqoise plz.

    nice video btw:)

  • Don't bother with the H2O from Wet n' Wild .. I have it and for some reason it wants to tighten up on your lid .. it almost pulls at your skin .. it feels I guess plasticy or something.. very uncomfortable!

  • this might sound random but you remind me of everybody loves Raymond' wife :P

  • my first liquid liner i tried a long time ago was revlon liquid liner, and its so amazing. i have not tried another liquid liner other than the revlon because it works so well.

  • do you store the pen's horizontally? that's what you have to do with the MAC eyeliner. Try that. It might work.

  • thanks for ur help!

  • so far the only liner that has really worked for me is prestidge.

every other one i buy dries out and flakes and cracks! its so annoying!

  • amazin :)

  • i love revlon colorstay liquid eye pen i've had it for months and the tip still hasn't dried out yet

  • Just to offer another opinion, i bought one and it tried out almost immedietly. Buyers beware.

  • you look like a mix between ashley judd and amy lee from evanescence.

  • I know what you mean about the Revlon Colorstay..

thats the one I have, and I love it!

  • i love youur makeup in this vid!! plzmake a tutorial vid on how youu do youur makeupp!! i luv the shadow!!

  • Thanks. I guess this might help in my next buy for a liquid eyeliner !

  • I've never used liquid eyeliner, but I decided to buy some today. I chose Revlon Colorstay in Black Shimmer. I just picked one at random. Looks like I made a lucky pick!

  • I love Mary Kay products!

Yesterday I bought a Revlon Colorstay felt tip eyeliner and so far so good. It goes on real nice and dark, but after watching the vid I'm afraid it'll dry out. Oh well we shall see if that happens.

Also I started out using the N.Y.C. liquid eyeliner brush (jet black) for practice and that used to burn my eyes something wicked. Plus it wasn't that black at all. I was disappointed.

    I love the vid!

  • try dipping them in a bit of water not for long just dip probabbly that will quinch the pens

  • macmakeupaddicts.webs.c0m

  • woooow ur so pretty and thank you great look

  • i have this liquid eyeliner and its called color trend its really really good it stays on for 3 days

  • does is it smudge if you wash ur face??

  • very helpful...thx

  • ooo you look like Amy Winehouse NOT on CRACK! so that is a gd thing :-)

  • Have you tried the Shiseido Fine Liner? It has a brush tip. It has a refillable cartridge and you can pump out the liquid liner to the tip. The brush tip is soft enough that it doesn't hurt but strong enough to last. I have had mine for years. I just wash the brush tip when the cartridge runs out and before I change it to a new one.

  • Can you add me?

    Thanks,

    -Liz

  • Thanks for posting this video I found it very helpful. I really love your make up on this video can you make a tutorial for it too.

    Thanks again,

    -Liz

  • I use the CoverGirl Line Exact ones and I know what you mean, they dry out fast, I go through one every two weeks. But I love them so much I can't stop using them! Sometimes, I get ones where the liquid doesn't even want to come out at all, I call those "duds". I know this sounds like a real pain, but if you want to keep using the Line Exact, prop the stick up and leave the felt tip facing down for like an hour or so, so the tip can get soaked. It helps :)

  • Very helpful, thanks : )

  • cover girl line exact is horrible.

  • thank you so much, this is the most helpful liquid eyeliner review on youtube. i'm subscribing ! :)

  • has anybody tried the almay liquid eyeliner? i hear good reviews but i'm not sure

  • I have a purple one that helps make my eyes stand out and I love it sooo much. I would recomend it

  • I've heard that the Maybelline waterproof liquid eyeliner is really good, what's your take on it? :)

  • I used that brand for years and it's awesome :)

  • i just started using it and it's ok. i'm just not very sure how long you have to let it dry for though?

  • i <3 color stay products tooo!

  • so im sooooo happy you made this vid

ALL MY LIFE i've been a waterline girl (every single day) so i only use eyeshadow, pencile, or gells..

But i decided i wanted to try a liq liner and this helped!

  • I bought the cover girl line exact and the day after I opened it, it was DRY. I was like wtf, but then I decided to put a drop of water on it and surprisingly works now.

  • really? I tried putting water on it, but it was still dry

  • I did tht too! And it started to smell):

  • haha! I just bought the physicians formula eyeliner yesterday... crap.

  • aaand I used it today (day after i bought it, remember) and it's already starting to 'dry up'

  • Ok no joke, the wet n wild H2O proof of w/e black eyeliner.... does not come off. not a good thing. i put some on my arm just to see what it looks like, literally...4 days ago and i tried soap, makeup remover, ive showered every day this stuff doesnt come off! so im def not gonna try it on my eyes because im afraid it wont come off.

  • i have the felt tip covergirl one!! i love it!

it's really easy to put on if you have small hands :)

i like it more than the mac liquid liner in boot black

i just lost it today though :((

  • I recently bought the revlon colorstay and I LOVE IT!! it's black black, and if you are going to buy black eyeliner you want it black! I love that it stays put!! usually an hour or two after i put black liquid eyeliner on it's gone (go figure) but this stays ALL DAY LONG!! I love it thanks!

  • My overall favorite is prestige liquid liner.

My favorite pen-type liner is NYX felt tip liner in extreme black. I haven't had any problems with drying out... yet.

  • Excellent review! You helped a novice liquid liner girl decide which one to buy!

  • o loooooove revlon colorstay!

  • have you tried "Maybelline Ultra Liner waterproof"? compared to the revlon color stay which one is better. does the color stay liquid liner smudge?

  • i found this very helpful i really like your reviews. they are very informative.

  • For the Cover Girl Line Exact, I had the same problem. I jsut cut the tip a little bit and it started to come out again. :)

  • I'm going to have to try those wet n wild colored eyeliners they look cool together.

  • hai emily!

maybe a suggestion with the first two you've reviewd... you have to put them vertical when you don't use it... Then the colours come down to the punt... (maybe you can make the tip a bit wet with water, before you do that...)

Just a tip, it works with mine, but it is INDEED not a good concept!!!

    Greetz,

    Liesbeth

  • I went to the store and they didn't have the pencil colorstay one so I bought the liquid one and I'm very happy w/ it!

  • The Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner ?

i bought that one too but does it ' sting ' your eyelids at all , or is it just me ?

  • No, actually it didn't sting my eyelids at all. Maybe you had an allergic reaction?

  • I use Wet and Wild too :)

    I la-la-love it so much.

But I wanna try others too :P

  • Me too!

  • Very helpful video! My problem with liquid eye liner is that my eyelashes are naturally pretty curled and the liner gets on them and then clumps up. So then it makes my lashes look clumpy when I put mascara on, which is annoying to me. I think I'll give the Revlon one a go though...

  • i use wet and wild too!!!

    it's cheap and works awesomeeeee!!

  • This may be a dumb question, but have you considered storing the felt-tip liners tip side down? Does it help at all?

  • I tried this with cover girl line exact but after a few days of it upside down it started to leak alot and product was all over my fingers lol

  • you're really pretty :)

    nice personality :)

  • i use the wet and wild black

and it works so good for how cheap it is

  • wet n wild liquid eyeliner = amazing

lasts forever...brush...not felt tip...which means better precision if used right...

    i love it

  • It seems that you and I have the same eyes...LOL...

Firstly, I have problems with one of those liquid liners with long brushes irritating my skin.

Most importantly, I have EXACTLY the same problem with the felt tip pens. I agree, I think there is something in the eyeshadow that blocks the sponge spaces and the product will not come out at all.

  • thanks for the putting this together!

love your make-up here! Did you do a tutorial for the eyes on this video?
