@vinmano1 EXCERPT How Ronald Reagan and Alan Greenspan Pulled off the Greatest Fraud Ever Perpetrated against the American People
"Although it had taken the United States more than 200 years to accumulate the first $1 trillion of national debt, it took only five years under Reagan to add the second one trillion dollars to the debt. By the end of the 12 years of the Reagan-Bush administrations, the national debt had quadrupled to $4 trillion!"
@jharv1979 said: "This is the biggest crock of shit I have seen in quite awhile."
you are certainly entitled to your own opinions but not to your own facts. Saint Ronnie started the grand screwing of this country and assholes like you enabled him if you voted back then. I sure didn't vote for this scumbag rethuglican B rate actor. May Reagan rot in hell!
@Official4chan So, what does that make you? I say a douchebag at the very least. It's the liberals that have tried to destroy this nation for the better part of last century and right into this century.
@HistorysMysterys You were lucky, at the same time you were dealing with that douchbag we had fucking Thatcher. Not only that she probably wont die, shes like doctor who she will regenerate into a super thatcher and privatise everything. Hopefully though both her and him are in hell.
Umm, the economy did better in the 1980s than the 60s or 70s, just because this guy shows pictures of homeless people doesn't change that. And 'Trickle down' theory is a name made up by liberals. All it means is cutting taxes on businesses to help the economy, which it did.The removal of the Glass Steagall Act did not cause the 2008 sub-prime mortgage crisis, this guy didn't even try to connect the dots. And the Soviet loss in Afghanistan helped end the Soviet Union. Plus, Grenada was a success.
Trickle Down economics is the theory that if government cuts taxes for the ultra rich, their excess money will trickle down to the lower classes in the form of employment. The problem is, this has never been shown to happen in real life scenarios.
The repeal of the rest of Glass-Steagall in 99' did contribute to the 2008 crisis. It allowed commercial and investor banks to merge, which caused them to be "too big to fail". Also, they were able to use deposit money to gamble in the CDS market.
Yes, it has been proven. When Reagan cut taxes for the rich, revenue increased, and the economy did better. When Bush cut taxes, revenue increased and the economy did better (Before the crash.) Read the book 'Housing boom and bust' by Thomas Sowell. Glass-Steagall may have allowed banks to be bigger, but it did not cause the crash.
The Census Bureau doesn't back up your assertions. In fact, the Census presented numbers that told quite the opposite story.
Poverty increased under Reagan and Bush significantly. GDP fell under both Bushes, and went up minisculely under Reagan. Contrarily, GDP rose 14.2% under Clinton, and poverty fell over 25%.
As we all know, Clinton openly spoke out against the Trickle Down Theory of economics. Your version of history isn't backed up by facts.
GDP fell under Bush because of the crash, which had nothing to do with taxes. As I said before, before the crash, GDP had risen a great deal AND revenue had increased. GDP only went up a small amount under Reagan because he inherited a recession from Carter, and spent a lot of money on the military. And again with Reagan, revenue increased.
At this point, you're fishing for a reason to blame a Democrat. You're blaming problems that stemmed under Republicans on administrations that hadn't been in control for 8 years - Carter.
Also, Reagan's 4.3% increase in GDP is measured by percentiles. Stagflation didn't affect the stats.
GDP fell throughout most of Bush's term, and only had a minor lift with the housing bubble in 2004-2006. Besides those three years, it was falling. Revenue increasing was simply a symptom of the bubble.
Umm, the recession under reagan was 80-81, 1-2 years after Carter, and the first bush recession was in the first 2 years of his administration.
The Bush and Reagan lifts were from tax cuts and other free market measures. You could say that part of the Bush lift was from the Housing bubble, but you cannot say that about Reagan.
The recession from 79-82 begun and ended because of Paul Volcker. He was the Fed chairman and he knew how to skillfully manipulate interest rates and the money supply. He caused the deep recession in able to lower inflation, which allowed the economy to grow again. The economic recovery had little to do with Reagan's tax cuts or the Free Market.
Bush's Free Market "measures" are what caused the 2000's bubble, which is what you label a "recovery". It wasn't a real recovery...
Interest rates continued to spike up and down until about 1984. Free Markets have worked almost everywhere they have been tried. Just look at the success of NAFTA in the Clinton years.
Bush's policy didn't cause the housing bubble. The community reinvestment act, local housing restrictions, pressure from the Fed on banks to give out bad loans, and Fannie May and Freddie Mac led to the housing bubble. The Fed raising the Interest rate too fast is what burst that bubble.
I'm in favor of open trade borders, rather than protectionism because it allows comparative trade.
What I'm not in favor of is banks being allowed to merge and own other financial institutions. CRA started in 77' and has been revised in multiple ways ever since, including Gramm-Leach-Bliley, which was huge deregulation.
The Fed didn't pressure any banks to give out bad loans. Banks jumped on the opportunity to do so since the invention of the CDS in 1997, which allows them to swap risk.
Your 3rd paragraph is just plain false. For a bank to open a new branch in a new state, and other moves of expansion, it must get permission from the Fed. There are many examples of activist groups demanding loans for low income people should the bank want to expand in a way that the federal reserve controlled. The Fed many times went along with this.
Why do people who think what you do beleive you can harvest fruit from tree's with no fruit? over charging and raising taxes on the poor with no fruit,or (money) is totally self defeating by its fundamentals. That of which should be obvious.
40% of people in America don't pay income tax. Do you really believe that those people have no money????
Nobody believes that the poor should have their taxes raised. I never stated that. Some poeple think the lower middle class should, but I don't know what I feel about that issue.
Even if they do most spend it. and that should make businesses, republicans, n everyonepe happier. less tax more spending. the rich now are getting so rich they'll never spend it all in a lifetime. and those people should pay more of the tax burden. if you're not for this then deal with the crime
For one, the SEC among other regulatory agencies regulate the banks. The Fed merely sets interest rates and money supply.
Like I've said 3 times, the banks lobbied aggressively to get lax regulations so they could lend to whomever they felt like. Because of the ever evolving forms of risk diversification, the banks don't care if they bundle sub-prime loans. The execs make big-time short term profits.
We will just have to disagree with this one. The Fed does have power over the banks, and their was political pressure.
The Housing Boom and Bust by Thomas Sowell is a great book on this.
And I do agree, the free market didn't realize how risky these loans were either. But banks didn't just switch from the 30 year fixed, which had been successful for so long, for no reason.
They switched because the government allowed them to. These same over leveraging of debts within financial institutions were the same scenario that happened during the Roaring 20's.
The only difference is it was the stock market rather than real estate.
I think I appreciate your invitation, if you are in France... .if you are here, and are inviting me to go away .. then I still thank you .. living in other countries enriches a person's life.
one of the worst presidents we've ever had! I cringed when they named an airport after him as I couldn't believe we would honor him after what he did.
Eric, funny thing, being a kid at the time, in small town VA .. I grew up thinking that "the right" was right .. and was a supporter not just of Uncle Ronnie, but of Bush 41 .. I look back and laugh at how far askew my views were .. Live and Learn I guess ..
By the way that Major League Asshole Dip Shit Actor also made Ketchup a vegetable group in public schools to save money! Dam you Brinkley!Should have used hollow tips!
not sure I would agree with the hollow tips .. but yeah, he sure did call a condiment a vegetable .. at the time, I thought it was funny... not like I'm a big fan of veggies ..
well, and I can't remember who pointed this out, but I think it was Jon Stewart from the Daily Show, but I honestly think that they forget that once they've said something, it's either videoed or in type somewhere. They then twist things in some Orwellian attempt to twist history.
Like all presidents Reagan did some good . But his deregulation caused S.L. crisis tax payers bailed the bankers out again 3 billion . All these presidents work for the corporations not the American people. Reagan and all the presidents have systematically manipulated laws and the constitution into a corporate compliant document designed to maximize profit, to the point of weakening America and degrading and enslaving the American people into a consumer oriented indentured cheap labor force.
Ronald Reagan was the best President in the 20th Century. " Peace through Strength".
If given the opportunity, I'm convinced that Sarah Palin has the potential to be the best President since the days of the Founding Fathers and Mothers of this country.
instead of starting an argument, as I know you are trying to do... I will say that I honestly hope they put Sarah Palin on the presidential ballot in 2012.
I'm not trying to start an argument.. However, I think its important to express differing opinions when I disagree with a video.
I'm certainly hoping that Sarah Palin is on the Presidential ballot in 2012. If John McCain would have run his entire 2008campaign in the manner that Gov. Palin would have run the campaign, I truly believe that we would have a different President than Barack Hussein Obama.
Ron Paul has a significant amount of hard core supporters with Libertarian views and/ or those who believe in Conspiracy Theories. Beyond that though, he doesn't have the support of most Conservative Republicans, Moderate Republicans, or those on the left. There's no segment of the media other than the fringe Alex Jones types who will promote Ron Paul. I think Paul could impact the 2012 Campaign but I'll be very surprised if he emerges as the Republican Nominee.
Were'nt Democrats in control of congress in the 1980's. Didn't they legislate banking controls out of existance? Under Reagan I made in the $35,000 range and was happy for my tax cuts. I had a $33,000 house with 13% interest rate in 1982 and had no problem making the payments. Blaming Reagan? The greedy assholes asking too much for their houses and the dopes with His and Her incomes paying the price while losing the art of making an offer is still making me sick.
How come every time a Republican presidents fails, it's the Democratic house and senate that did it, but when the president does right, then the house and senate had no effect?
Btw, you can attribute that nice economic growth out of the early 80's recession to Paul Volcker, not Reagan. Volcker was originally appointed by Carter in 1979. He was the one who actually ended Stagflation.
I think you missed the guys point. He was doing ok with 13% interest rates on his house. Greed in home equity combined with too low rates caused the housing bubble. People used to buy houses to live in. Then for too long they thought of them as "investments". Buyers paid the prices being asked without making counter offers thinking that house values would continue to go up forever and they obviously cannot. Low rates and easy credit brought too many amateur investors into housing.
They weren't amateurs. They were people that were able to take advantage of the market due to the removal of the price floors on mortgages.
People would buy the homes, and if they didn't want them anymore, they could just walk away due to having no investment in the home. (Down payment)
Banks also jumped on this opportunity, for they could just absolve all their risk with a simple CDS. Due to no individual risk, the entire housing market's risk skyrocketed.
You are still missing the point and there is a larger point. Poor lending practices increasing inflating the dollar value of homes. Prior to 1975 homes were primarily residences. People lived in them and raised familes. Equity was built up over time and people did not see their homes as merely investments. There are alot of factors not the least of which was the rise of women in the workforce creating two income households among married couples. If you don't mind my asking how old are you?
coincidentally here in the UK we had in 1979 Thatcher, who with her cock sucking friends in the city really sold the country down the river. Seemed the "special relationship" continued with Bush and Blair. Thatcher used the expression "the enemy within". Yep, that's right Maggie, we know who...
you're right.. it goes back.. way way back .. not just to J F K either .. try on one particular March 15th .. of course back then, it was referred to as the ides of march .. that was conspiracy theory 101
back further still you can look at Plato, The Republic, the Trial of Socrates .. there's always been "a Man behind the curtain"
difference today is..we are allowed to point him out... In the history of this country, things started getting a lot worse quicker under Regan, and haven't slowed yet.
Whoa! You're shattering the image of Mr. Teflon but I admire you for it. People love this guy to the point that very rarely do you ever hear anybody say a bad thing about him. He did a lot to hurt the average citizen and humanity. Deregulation and deunionization really hurt the worker whether they admit or not. Also, emptying the mental hospitals was inhumane and led to the homeless populations we have today. Thanks for sharing a video that can really rock a few worlds.
I was shocked to hear his economic policies touted as "awe inspiring" during the presidential campaign .. and started digging. This is a brief culmination of just some of what I found. Thanks for commenting, rating, sharing...
I agree with the domestic policy portion, but completely disagree with the foreign policy portion. Most of what you state in this video is contaminated by the "NWO" conspiracy crap that a lot of people believe. I'll say that Reagan's presidency was disastrous as far as economic and social policies were concerned. However, his handling of foreign policy was very good, particularly in regards to the Soviet Union. Stop pushing all this NWO drivel! It's all BS, and serves no useful purpose...
what crap, am I posting here ? it's all real .. it all exists.. REX 84 real HAARP? real .. no one knows why it's there, but the work was done.. Saddam Hussein? we put him in power.. Bin Laden? we set him up as well .. what NWO "crap" am I touting here? how is any of what I am saying "drivel"? all facts all documented all sources in side bar please ask Afghanis if his foreign policy was good? ask the Marines in Lebanon.. Reagan = Good? that's the drivel pal
thank you brother .. there were of course many wrongs going back hundreds of years.. heck .. the Roman Senate even had their issues .. Plato.. etc.. etc.. but for our lives, the recent changes historically speaking, I think a big turning point was under Uncle Ronny.
My brother, thank you so much, not just for your kind words which humble me, but for sharing this.. I'll work on something else as soon as either get my computer back from the shop, or get a replacement tower...
Sadly I think the "best case" scenario is pretty grim, forget about the worst case...
Also this is happening all around the world in "developed nations" by the time we realize we killed a couple billion people it will be to late to deny "reality"
I agree, "they" have pushed things a whole lot further then "we" ever should have let them...
I too think it may just be too late, but if you've ever been in a car accident, that you've seen coming, and one you didn't, you know it's slightly less traumatic if you are at least slightly aware of the impending doom.. my intention is to warn others..
I don't know if that will make any difference or not, but awareness is never a bad thing is it?
I watch all of them eventually. And I used a similar impending car crash analogy a lot. Just be gentle because ironically some people will instinctively tune you out if you scream "Watch Out" lol [not that you have, but you get my point]
I agree totally, and this is probably my biggest problem with Alex Jones .. he screams his points, and although he makes a lot of sense on a handful of subjects, I can't get over his over the top antics.. the combined end product of his rantings yields something I am not sure that I can trust..
for me, after waking up, and realizing that "the matrix had me" I had to do months of reading, research, and asking the right questions .. to find how we as a nation got so lost.. I found one point in our history where things started going downhill faster then ever before .. to get turned around, I think we have to figure out just where we went wrong.
Thanks for watching, rating, for commenting, and for sharing
Jolanda you do a great job at understanding, all this video was meant to do, was to show people things to research.
it's a starting point, if there are things we don't understand, and they affect us somehow, we all need to do work to get a deeper understanding of them all.
Anywhere in the world, if you speak about some of these things, people think you are crazy.. people haven't been watching, or paying enough attention to what is really happening. that's why we have to wake them up.
Excellently done. Like in the popular song during that time, "Don't Worry - Be happy," Reagan kept telling us to ignore the world's problems (much of which we had a hand in) and just focus on materialism. The Iran-Contra Hearings started exposing Reagan/Bush and there's so much more that's never been explained. Peace!
Then under those who followed "The Great Reagan" they learned that through fear, they could really control the masses .. control the media, control the masses...
well no more!
I think there are enough of us now who are not afraid, that we can, and must sound the alarm .. be not afraid, only aware
it is time to stand up, together ,and as one, in Peace, Love, and Light
Very good job, your best to date! (or at least that is my opinion) I never liked him, and it was the 2nd election I voted in. My parents were horrified I voted democrat. As the years went by and they cut aid to the homeless, vaccinations for TB, the emergence of AIDS, the fun 80's had a dark undertone that was always there, but smoothed over. Keep posting my Love. The truth needs to be shouted out. I love you.
okay .. all this feedback makes me think that another video about Reagan is required .. at least one more just to deal with MORE things that he did, that the STATE CONTROLLED media told us about .. then to go on with things that were "back room deals"
I will keep on sounding these truths... the plan is to expose all the truth that I can find, and verify.
They stole our country while we slept ..
"pay not attention to the man behind the curtain" -the wizard of Oz
The night that slice of slime won the election, I nearly had a nervous breakdown. I 'saw' what would come from his being President and I wasn't wrong. Plus, don't forget his inaction on AIDs, his "Free Trade" mental set and his shady connections to the Iranians over the hostages.
Bush is just the retarded cherry on top of the corrupt cake that Reagan baked. I really don't know if we can recover from the last 28 years of willful destruction, it may be too late already.
I was too young when he was elected to know how bad it would turn out... and to have heard all the republicans during the election season speak of him with such high praise .. I had already done some research, but they made me rethink my views .. and I did the research .. wow .. yeah.. couldn't mention AIDS.. or GRID .. also his era .. California while he was governor.. the list goes on and on.. wanted to do a bit about school lunch programs. ran out of time.. I have to do another one..
I think you give Uncle Ronny perhaps too much credit for the travesti we now live in, but one thing is certain. He was one of the main catalysts to push the agenda along.
I know we are lost now.. I can look back at a time when we were not lost, or not nearly this lost .. and I think we can see where we took our biggest "wrong turns" .. if we were driving cross country, and made these errors.. we would turn around.. and go the right way .. I think we should use the road map that our founding fathers left us...
the U.S. Constitution.. and start going back in the right direction.. if it's not already too late..
also ... I owe you a huge debt of gratitude for helping me to get moving looking for the real truths in today's world.. I will be eternally grateful brother
thanks for watching, rating, and sharing .. I will .. just not tonight.. this thing took longer then I had hoped it would .. and there's still more work to do.. sort of a continuation ...maybe a sequel.. maybe a prequel .. not sure yet

Eric, funny thing, being a kid at the time, in small town VA .. I grew up thinking that "the right" was right .. and was a supporter not just of Uncle Ronnie, but of Bush 41 .. I look back and laugh at how far askew my views were .. Live and Learn I guess ..

very nice...why do republicans love this guy so much? is it because hes so bible thumpery...or maybe that he made greed a virtue?
aserfozo 2 years ago
well, and I can't remember who pointed this out, but I think it was Jon Stewart from the Daily Show, but I honestly think that they forget that once they've said something, it's either videoed or in type somewhere. They then twist things in some Orwellian attempt to twist history.
thanks for watching and commenting.

No, the democrats and republicans are equally responsible for the deregulation that has made greed and hubris our God.
jobedied 2 years ago
Like all presidents Reagan did some good . But his deregulation caused S.L. crisis tax payers bailed the bankers out again 3 billion . All these presidents work for the corporations not the American people. Reagan and all the presidents have systematically manipulated laws and the constitution into a corporate compliant document designed to maximize profit, to the point of weakening America and degrading and enslaving the American people into a consumer oriented indentured cheap labor force.

Ronald Reagan was the best President in the 20th Century. " Peace through Strength".
If given the opportunity, I'm convinced that Sarah Palin has the potential to be the best President since the days of the Founding Fathers and Mothers of this country.
ptp44444 3 years ago
instead of starting an argument, as I know you are trying to do... I will say that I honestly hope they put Sarah Palin on the presidential ballot in 2012.
rjanis123 3 years ago
I'm not trying to start an argument.. However, I think its important to express differing opinions when I disagree with a video.
I'm certainly hoping that Sarah Palin is on the Presidential ballot in 2012. If John McCain would have run his entire 2008campaign in the manner that Gov. Palin would have run the campaign, I truly believe that we would have a different President than Barack Hussein Obama.
ptp44444 3 years ago
Please run her instead of Ron Paul. Ron Paul is real competition, and Obama could actually lose to him.
Please, for the love of a non-existent god, run that stupid cunt in 2012.
IFloridaMotocrossI 1 year ago

Rabbitttoz 3 years ago
How come every time a Republican presidents fails, it's the Democratic house and senate that did it, but when the president does right, then the house and senate had no effect?
Btw, you can attribute that nice economic growth out of the early 80's recession to Paul Volcker, not Reagan. Volcker was originally appointed by Carter in 1979. He was the one who actually ended Stagflation.
IFloridaMotocrossI 1 year ago
I think you missed the guys point. He was doing ok with 13% interest rates on his house. Greed in home equity combined with too low rates caused the housing bubble. People used to buy houses to live in. Then for too long they thought of them as "investments". Buyers paid the prices being asked without making counter offers thinking that house values would continue to go up forever and they obviously cannot. Low rates and easy credit brought too many amateur investors into housing.
bush1tman 1 year ago
They weren't amateurs. They were people that were able to take advantage of the market due to the removal of the price floors on mortgages.
People would buy the homes, and if they didn't want them anymore, they could just walk away due to having no investment in the home. (Down payment)
Banks also jumped on this opportunity, for they could just absolve all their risk with a simple CDS. Due to no individual risk, the entire housing market's risk skyrocketed.
Deregulation caused it.
IFloridaMotocrossI 1 year ago

When did 'IT' really begin?
I don't think it was Reagen.
It was way before, when a
bullet from behind and above,
made a President go 'back and to the right'.
No?
Prohoridzo 3 years ago
you're right.. it goes back.. way way back .. not just to J F K either .. try on one particular March 15th .. of course back then, it was referred to as the ides of march .. that was conspiracy theory 101
back further still you can look at Plato, The Republic, the Trial of Socrates .. there's always been "a Man behind the curtain"
difference today is..we are allowed to point him out... In the history of this country, things started getting a lot worse quicker under Regan, and haven't slowed yet.

rjanis: Well said man.
But, I think if you were to place a segment of time wherein the global terrorists got the most expedient exponential growth I'd say; '58-'68.
That was when they really seized control.
I don't know for sure. But that's my guess.
Anyone else??

Sadly I think the "best case" scenario is pretty grim, forget about the worst case...
Also this is happening all around the world in "developed nations" by the time we realize we killed a couple billion people it will be to late to deny "reality"
MrLesWhite 3 years ago
thank you for watching and commenting.
Peace :):)
rjanis123 3 years ago
I watch all of them eventually. And I used a similar impending car crash analogy a lot. Just be gentle because ironically some people will instinctively tune you out if you scream "Watch Out" lol [not that you have, but you get my point]
MrLesWhite 3 years ago
I agree totally, and this is probably my biggest problem with Alex Jones .. he screams his points, and although he makes a lot of sense on a handful of subjects, I can't get over his over the top antics.. the combined end product of his rantings yields something I am not sure that I can trust..
Thanks for continuing the thread

for me, after waking up, and realizing that "the matrix had me" I had to do months of reading, research, and asking the right questions .. to find how we as a nation got so lost.. Hi Ron, most of the video i do understand,
I hope you understand that for me it is very diffecult to realy follow it all, because english is not my first language.
But a lot of issues you showed us in this video, i do talk about, but also here in Holland a lot of people say i'm not realy thinking clear.
Well maybe this time i'm the one that did get it, but they will also get it, very soon.
By the way, you picked the perfect song,

NaturesBeatingHearts 3 years ago
Jolanda you do a great job at understanding, all this video was meant to do, was to show people things to research.
it's a starting point, if there are things we don't understand, and they affect us somehow, we all need to do work to get a deeper understanding of them all.
Anywhere in the world, if you speak about some of these things, people think you are crazy.. people haven't been watching, or paying enough attention to what is really happening. that's why we have to wake them up.
Peace :)
rjanis123 3 years ago
Excellently done. Like in the popular song during that time, "Don't Worry - Be happy," Reagan kept telling us to ignore the world's problems (much of which we had a hand in) and just focus on materialism. The Iran-Contra Hearings started exposing Reagan/Bush and there's so much more that's never been explained. Peace!
no2hate 3 years ago

I love you.
isminx 3 years ago
Love you too !!
okay .. all this feedback makes me think that another video about Reagan is required .. at least one more just to deal with MORE things that he did, that the STATE CONTROLLED media told us about .. then to go on with things that were "back room deals"
I will keep on sounding these truths... the plan is to expose all the truth that I can find, and verify.
They stole our country while we slept ..

Plutonwolf 3 years ago
I was too young when he was elected to know how bad it would turn out... and to have heard all the republicans during the election season speak of him with such high praise .. I had already done some research, but they made me rethink my views .. and I did the research .. wow .. yeah.. couldn't mention AIDS.. or GRID .. also his era .. California while he was governor.. the list goes on and on.. wanted to do a bit about school lunch programs. ran out of time.. I have to do another one..
