yo i got an hp pavilion dv8235nr laptop and it sometimes makes so fan noises like if the fan was touching something inside over and over and its so annoying. if i hardly press the bottom of my laptop where the fan is situated it stops and after a few sec/min it starts doing the same thing also when i sometimes tilt the computer. u got any help of what could it be? a cable touching fan blades? debris?. any help? it sounds like a blender
Yeah. A chepo fan at a luxury price. I bought it for 80$ (still expensive) and changed it myself. Its so hard but i still did it without braking the compu.
Try to stop the fan with a wooden part on the back. (if there is a hole in the case on the back. Just vor a second!!!) -- Just for to make sure that its really the fan.
Then I would open it. check for parts vibrating the the case and makes noice. - Then maybe some oil will help.
Or, the fan touches against the case or something else.
Thats why you buy the 13 inch notebooks. They are way much reliable that those 15 and 16 inch ones

not bad!
but mine is older than 3 years, so my warranty is expired.
i had a few other problems with my book... motherboard dead, harddrive dead, ram-slot dead... but they never gave me a new mbp.
damn!

It's not debris or dust. The bearings on these fans go out. HP charges a $300 repair + Shipping...
