Honestly this won't get institutionalized i can't see people that are fighting around the world having a ceasefire on 21 sept every year. If one side in a conflict abides by this the other side are just going to see it as an oppurtunity to attack, it's the sad truth. I would honestly love global peace to be an achiveable thing, but it's not theres always going to be people who disagree with other people and these disagreements are going to turn into hatred, and that hatred into conflicts.

However to say that all genocide and all other conflicts in the world stopped for a day is quite an achievement for mankind (Even though, there still will be genocide on this day probably. I think countries should figure out their own issues first, which are most likely to be : education, crime and poverty. After these problems have been solved, or changed drastically at the very least, then should a country attempt to make a move out on the world.
I think it's fairly hypocritical thinking for countries like America, Canada, Britain, China, Japan, etc.. to be taking on world issues while they watch their own people drive a Bentley by starving homeless people.
