you cant, EA tried cramming in open for buisness theme in with controlling sims on the job and as a result both are half finished and lacking many features like running your own buisness. you can register as self employed and sell your stuff through your inventory or at the consignment store but you can create an actual store

Sims 3 Seasons, Apartment Life, and Open for Business are not coming out for Sims 3 Because those epansion packs were for the Sims 2 and those features are already in the sims 3 base game, Late Night, & Ambitions. The sims 2 had 8, so only 8 expansion packs are going to come out, Showtime is number 6. The next expansion packs to come out are University and Free Time. Sorry to disappoint if you were waiting for SEASONS, OPEN BUSINESS, or APARTMENT LIFE.

@SydneyPatriciaaa Firefighter isn't a rabbit hole, everything it shows in that scene you can do. Neither is the stylist, it's essentially create a sim with random townfolk. IIRC the only new career that is a rabbit hole is education. (Not shown in video)

Same goes for the songs you listen to, or the movies you like to watch. Frankly, I don't want to bother going into detail on how to do it or I'd be wasting a lot of my own time. Lol. There is a very cool cheat to increase ur professions chance of promotion. Click Ctrl shift c at the same time and type in testingcheatsenabled true. Then click on ur sims job icon and drag the "Job experience" bar to the right all the way for the next lvl of that profession.

all the new jobs aren't rabbit holes..... you actually go to work, and you make the decisions for them. or you can even file for home employment and work as a writer, artist, sculptor, ex.

of course though, all the existing jobs are rabbit holes:P

yeah the new jobs... like the firefighter, for example, you have to be in the fire station at the time they are working so you'll be able to hear the fire alarm go off if there's a fire. then, you control your sim to fight that specific fire. and another example is the stylist. whenever a sim comes in for a makeover, YOU give that customer a new style in create a sim. plus, there is much more you can do for different jobs.

well, it really all depends on what you like to do in the game. if you like to excell in your Sim's job, and love to build skills, then Ambitions is for you. but if you like to party with your Sim, and go to alot of clubs and meet celebs and such, then Late Night is great for you. I like to get my Sim to excell in their career and such so I like Ambitions.
