Instead, they have multiple branches that don't necessarily follow a straight line; they branch off where a common ancestor was divided by speciation into seperate species.
Google "phylogenetic tree", and try to find a tree with one straight branch, start to finish.

But there is no debate amongst reputable scientists. The Theory of Evolution is a fact. It is observable in the petri dish in real-time, and in the fossil records over billions of years. I just don't think the evolution theory we have now is the way. I believe it had to have happened a different way especially with all the holes that are in the current theory. @chadd990 Homo sapiens is actually considered part of the taxonomic family known as "Hominidae", or the "great apes". We ARE apes, along with chimpanzees and bonobos, gorillas, and orangutans. We share a COMMON ANCESTOR with them, we did not "evolve from them".
This is how speciation works. When two populations can no longer interbreed, they have become separate species. This is why dogs - Canis lupus familiaris - can still breed with wolves - Canis lupus. They are only different SUBspecies.

@chadd990 If everything just "evolved from" something else, then phylogenetic trees would have just one straight line, would they not? Or just one straight line, with a few branches off of it, where the modern species of today are.
Instead, they have multiple branches that don't necessarily follow a straight line; they branch off where a common ancestor was divided by speciation into seperate species.
Google "phylogenetic tree", and try to find a tree with one straight branch, start to finish.

@MrNocompromise Look at chromosome #2 in the human body and compare it to a certain pair of chimp chromosomes (I don't know their exact names). You'll find that #2 in our bodies is almost EXACTLY the same as the two chimp chromosomes.
All other apes have 24 chromosomes from each parent, while humans have 23. Conclusion: the two chimp chromosomes fused into one, and the ancestors of this chimp w/ fused chromosomes eventually gave rise to the human race.

@chersharni Lol, no, while I was not conceived asexually, you seem to be making the assumption that because most present-day life is conceived sexually, that means ALL life (past and present, even though life in the past was WAY different) had to be conceived sexually in the same way. In the case of the early life hypothesized by Abiogenesis, they would consist only of a few cells, so asexual reproduction wouldn't have been a problem.

There is no scientific evidence that a species can change the number of chromosomes within the DNA. The chromosome count within each species is fixed. This is the reason a male from one species cannot mate successfully with a female of another species. Man could not evolve from a monkey. Each species is locked into its chromosome count that cannot change. If an animal developed an extra chromosome or lost a chromosome because of some deformity, it could not successfully mate..

I think it makes no sense what so ever that random molecules started joining randomly which then turned into animals and then turned into us. Evolution is jsut a theory. You can't prove that it really happened. Everything is "related to everything else" because God made everything that way. I mean imagine an animal made out of a completely different substance. No one could eat it. And it can't eat our flesh. Why would he do that?

"with no life" Earth no longer has Prebiotic conditions. Thats not all it would create.
it also produces Prebiotic chemistry which are the Precursors of life. "Amino acids. Ribonucleotides, RNA, Phospholipid bilayers"

@R0gyo it would be impossible for any new life to form today because:
A.) the molecules would be eaten by already-present microorganisms
and
B.) the oxygen in todays atmosphere is too corrosive to allow organic molecules to bond in the way they were thought to at the beginning of life.
The environment nowdays is better for TODAY's life only.

@AcanLord I remember standing up and telling my mom that my stomach stopped hurting. They looked at me with their mouths wide open. I stood up and walked away just like that. When I was sick, I have been laying in my bed for around 2 weeks and didn't get up to play or anything except to to go the bathroom. My parents were about to bring me to the hospitol. I will never forget that moment. And don't tell me that was a coincidence; the pain stopped right after they stopped praying for me.

It says that God created the Earth. He made our bodies and everything around us so well. I mean think about the eye and how complex it is. It makes sense that the intelligent God made eyes for us so that we could see. He created the Earth so that we could use it and make great things out of it.

It says humans were created with a magic golem spell and a special incantation. Your Religion has no more or less miracles then any other religion does. Furthermore i should point out, our eyes are of a inferior type. the eyes we have originate from a Arborial "tree dwelling" existence. They arent very useful compared to other eyes.

Isochrone dating indicates that this planet is 4.5 billion years old. We know that these dates are accurate because we are able to to Obtain Accurate ages of samples of KNOWN AGE which are more recent to insure the obtained dates are correct. we have the evidence. we win.

And if you research enough, you might find out that the dating methods are not as reliable as you think they are. Scientist assume that the earth is billions years old, so they try to fit their results with their assumption. A whole bunch of dating tests were rejected because they failed like a freshly killed seal was dated, the results stated that the seal died 1,300 years ago. Fail?

@R0gyo Evolution doesn't say "monkey's turned into people." It says that people and monkey shared a common ancestor; meaning, we branched off of their family tree. And that doesn't mean we're just animals without souls. Evolution doesn't say anything about souls or God or the afterlife. What if God made the Big Bang, then waited for humans to develop, and revealed Himself to them?
Also: ever think about why the Bibles says Creation happened in one week? Why would God need one week? He IS God,

The only reason the Bible says he took a week to do it is because a 7 day week is how humans experience and divide time! So a 7 day creation week made sense to the early writers of the Bible, because that's all they knew. They didn't have any inkling of what we know now - and if they did, they'd call it witchcraft and ignore it.
