One of the best tap dance numbers in any movie, Begin the Beguine with Eleanor Powell and Fred Astaire stands out as one of the best dances ever captured on film. I must say, this performance was ON THE MARK!!! I wish you had had it filmed better, you should consider making another. Truly great recreation!! bravo

As far as I can tell, yes - but you can check for yourself by searching YouTube for "Astaire," "Powell" and "Broadway Melody of 1940."

This is a terrific tribute to the original. I can't help noticing these dancers aren't nearly as ethereal as Astaire and Powell - they're really pounding the floor - but they seem to have nailed the routine step for step.
