  • hahaha you can't hear a f'ing words what he is (i don't know what you call that person) saying xD

    buyer one, abibedibobedibobebobeyebue

    buyer two, bobelibibobadodeboyedo

    it's insane .. x)

  • What an insannnnne thing. I can't imaging the adrenaline going around in that setting....especially for the owners, holy cow.

  • mabey they could use this money to bail out horses to a rescue that are standing in a kill pen.. shake my head at rich people.

  • 1millionblehblehblahjalb2millionblehblahblehbleh3millonfa3millionfa3millonfa

  • I bet that poor guy leading him was dizzy as hell by the time he finally sold.

  • when ever i see videos like this i feel bad. the horse doesn't know tht people want to own him. he doesn't know tht he costs 16 million dolloars.

  • what a waste of money......i mean that IS a nice horse but come on....do u have any idea how many horses in the world could be saved and moved to better homes for that price

???? i hate rich ppl like that....

  • @XoBleedingHeartoX why that my be true how many of them are lame and cannot put off what these amazing animals do.

  • ...well, I bet the seller was happy.

  • NICE! He's beautiful

  • If I had 16 million dollars I'd spend it on the the animal shelters that put animals to sleep simply because they can't care for all of them. So many animals that would be great pets are killed everyday because no one adopts them, but this horse show? What a waste....

  • @cyanidemaiden Same here

  • hes addicted to saying 153

  • million doollar blue blood thorobreds! They are golden, wish I was there to take pictures!!

  • Wanna guess where this winner wil end up when he can't win any more. The Auction or worse sitting in the trainers back field withering away

  • i love the crowds reaction when the guy asks "anyone else wanna bid?"

  • He's absolutely gorgeous. All horses are worth more than any amount of money. I'd go for him anyday whether he races or not.

  • this horse retired after two years of racing. Waste of money.

  • He will be a successful racer even if he doesn't make $16000000 in earnings. He could stud out for a lot. A horse that was sold for way less then that had a $75000 stud fee. Imagine how much his is going to be!

  • @dusterrider Actually his stud fee is only $5,000 because he only made a little over $10,000 from racing which isn't good at all for racing......

  • my neighbor told me a joke about the green monkey before he raced. the green monkey was bought for 16 million turns out he's worth 100,000. lol if i'm not mistaken he got the joke from scotty schulhoffer cause he trained one of his dams i think his second dam.

  • stupid name, pretty horse

  • Rich people have nothing better to do with their money !!!!! while people starve and live in poverty!!!!! What is wrong with this world we all live in?

  • @ravencassidy

Don't take it so personal, they are nothing more then buisness in the world of horse breeding and sports...

  • @Thorobred4ever I understand that but how many horses could have been saved from slaughter and the meat factories with that money????????????????

  • @ravencassidy Think to your self real quick.... is this buyer really care about doggy ugly horses? No, if he wanted to spend his money on that he would have.

  • This Is Not Worth 16 Million I Guarentee iN His Stance He Will Not Be Much Of A Runner In His Furture

  • When is this horse running

  • What a waste of money.I can guarantee you that this will not make 16 million in racing

  • They live 18y!

  • Poor horse. He's caught in the middle of a bunch of greedy money-grubbing elite. He doesn't care that some asshole spent that money. All he wants is the same as the $500.00 horse.... a nice home, adequate food, and someone to love him. Sadly, no one here loves him, they only love what he can do for them.

  • He is absolutely beautiful!

  • it's the scatman :O

  • Rich mans sport.

  • eu comprooo quantos eu kiser...aff...eu dariaa $1,000,000,000 porque ele é bunitoo...entre em contatoo plo tel35425552 obrigaduu

  • He'll end up at the slaughter plant like all the rest of the horse racing industry's horses :-(

  • @gilliangirl1 He's currently standing at Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds in Ocala, Florida and he'll probably die of natural causes when he's old and pensioned. Saying that all racehorses wind up being slaughtered is incredibly ignorant. What do you think OTTBs are?

  • @Syncraftable How many are saved versus how many are chewed up and spit out by the racing industry? You'd be shocked. I'm glad this one is still around, but the racing industry is only interested in the flavor of the month that nets it money. Look what happened to Ferdinand.

  • @gilliangirl1 Ferdinand is the exception, not the rule. He was sent to stud in Japan and when he became unpopular, the Japanese attempted to place him in a riding club. When that failed, they sold him to slaughter without contacting his former owners first. I think you'd be shocked to find out how many OTTBs actually DON'T go to slaughter. I think you'd be surprised to learn that there are a number of racetracks in the US that outright ban trainers that sell horses for slaughter.

  • @gilliangirl1 I think you'd also be surprised to learn that standardbreds are very common in slaughterhouses - they are often sold to the Amish, who drop them off at kill auctions when they go lame or become ill. The AQHA is notoriously pro-slaughter as are many of its members, and as it is the breed registry with the largest number of registered horses per year by a large margin over the Jockey Club, I wonder how many of their culls wind up in slaughterhouses?

  • lets face it does it really matter what they cost. To us horsey owners are horses are worth the world to us!! its what they mean to us that matters! x

  • Will there be a horse named the Purple Parrot? or the Silver Snake? How about a Red Jaguar?

  • When a horse sells for $16M Million you know there is something wrong in the world.

  • 16 million wtf if u want a really good horse look for a cheaper 1 they r still good u know wat i would do with 16 million dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the buyer fucking shits gold

  • I rescue not buy but still nice horse

  • I still wish they would of given him a few more races to grow and learn. They hardly gave him a chance imo.

  • The thing is they are taking a leap of Faith in his blood lines basically. I mean Secretariat is his Great Great Great Grand Sire. Just because he comes from a good blood line doesn't mean that he can RUN. There are plenty of horses who come from no bloodlines to speak of and they turn out to be winners.

  • @airbear2482 yeah my horse has good blood lines to seabisct but she is not fast she can b

  • ahhh look at the pretty horsiee (:

  • god ik thoroughbreds r known for their long top but thats a little much...

  • 16,000,000 - 15,240 = FAIL

  • $16 million and he couldn't even win a race.. sad!

  • i hate when people keep their horses in stables and barely feed them and then they sell them just for money and they dont love them thumbs up if you agree

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I always wondered why the bidding went so high. The buyers should have spent $60,000 on Zenyatta instead.

  • Can anyone else not understand that auctioneer? He can speak fluent jibberish..I dont like seeing a horse that stressed out :(

  • It better win all the races!

  • @amgaku

Im actually pretty sure Green Monkey couldn't run for crap and lost almost all his races.

  • Wow c'est fou ! Peut-être a t il déjà une bonne performance mais en vaut il le coût !?!

  • das ist aufjedenfall kein schoenes pferdeleben

  • omg i want to get in there and make that horse STAND!

16 mill on a horse with no manners what so ever lol.

  • @mickisawesome777 Maybe because there are people talking everywhere, strange horses and no doubt a pressured handler. Not to mention its probably a Thoroughbred

  • @mickisawesome777 its a well conditioned TB...to force him to stand might spark a blowup....so that's something you really don't do with these horses bec' it simply aggravates them, increasing their reactivity. Moving decreases the horse's anxiety. He's handling the excitement fairly well.

  • i dont think there is a horse worth more than 16 million $ exept tortillas

  • @LennardChiang lol! 'Tortillas" --> the nacho chips? ( lol! I know who you meant - blessed black dressage horse)

  • @Fantageous xD ever ate tortillas? :D

  • @onlypedro thats freakin funny...LOL!!

  • This was grandstanding for mega loaded EGOS to outspend each other in public. Showoffs! lol! Great entertainment!

Apparently, the buyer shits gold on a regular basis. :-)

  • lol you right

  • @Fantageous i wish i shit gold on a regular basis.... :(

  • in the end they are all worth the same

  • @stephntilly yeah i agree..

  • @stephntilly ... not really.

  • @stephntilly nothing. *sigh*

  • @stephntilly ya horseburger

  • that horse better shit gold

  • I'm aware of the fact they didn't know it could race...my point is, how stupid could they be to roll the dice on $16mill?

  • The owners of this horse will be LUCKY if they're able to get even a million bucks back out of the 16 mill they dropped. Zenyatta? Now that's a good return on investment. She was bought for 60 grand and made like what, 7.5mill on the tracks? Sounds like smart businesspeople there, unlike these goofs here that dropped 16mill on a horse.

  • @Emil308 He couldn't race he lost by like 1-2 lengths, which is horrible, so he is stud.

  • @horsesaremylife31899 Again, stupid effing investment. 16 mill for a horse that can't race.

  • @Emil308 They didn't know it couldn't race how would they know he is two they ran him in his first race.

  • Mind you I don't know shit about horseracing, but I do know what a good investment is and more specifically, return on investment. I'm sorry but paying $16mill for a horse is STUPID. The top earning racehorse ever, a horse outta Japan named Deep Impact, earned like 17mill and change on the track. What are the odds that this horse in the vid would earn anywhere near that? 1 in a million? Stupid spending by rich billionaires/millionaires that want to show off.

  • nice horse

  • that guy is fast.

  • @msjumpingqueenful I seriously didn't understand what you are trying to prove. Were you drunk when you write this?

  • all i hear is bahmbahmbahmbahmawawamam lmfao

  • I've seen it 500 times...still don't believe it....but love watching it:)

  • @Tammicat21 lol, same here

  • 16M i want two of them

  • they bought him mostly for his looks.

    & took a bid gamble.

  • His career earnings? $10,440. 2 4th place finishes.

  • Worlds fastest autioneer!

  • I would still breed him to a good mare, maybe a G2 or G3 winner. You never know what you can get.

  • colmore stud in Ireland bought him ? that was during ireland's crazy spending years, and no doubt some dump developers bought him and now the innocent people have to pay ?

  • let me get this right if he's worth 16 million, his poop's got to be at lest a few dollars..

  • didn't Secretariat get an offer of 60 million?

  • People think this horse is expensive, I've been 5 ft away from a £60 million stallion :)

  • @AllTimeCaitlin which £60 million stallion? I'd be seriously considering swiping some DNA from that one for my own cloning attempt.

  • @Fantageous His name is Invinsible Spirit, he's from the Irish National Stud near Dublin :)

  • What if it just died after the bidding ended???

  • @MrRCPeter They would probably kill themselves for there stupidity.

  • @MrRCPeter Actually, the horse injured itself in training and never got to race xD

  • A high price for fools gold!

  • i agree...i better see some freakin gold commingout the wazoo!

  • maa keee cshooot isss ghoray kee

  • There is no way in hell I'd spend that much money on a damn horse!

  • Comment removed

  • just goes to show that you can pay all the money in the world and youll not get a good racehorse out of it as theres was one bought in ireland for 350,000 euros and she was useless great breeding stunning horse but just didnt have the ability and i know thats not a huge amount of money compared to 16 million but for national hunt horse it is and there have been ones bought for a few hundred and theyve been the best

  • its worth 60 million actully i was at the national stud get the facts straight

  • That is the most ridiculous thing I have seen in my entire life. I really feel bad for Coolmore, since they paid a very pretty penny for him and he gave them...nothing, just a reputation for buying the most expensive horse ever. But they wanted him...

And what Coolmore wants, Coolmore gets. At least they had the money to take this insane risk. Beautiful horse. Just cause he wasn't good for racing, doesn't mean he isn't good for anything else. They should've retrained him, cause I sure want him=)

  • the world is badly divided,.

  • @KaitlinRenae: You haven't a clue do you? Hahaha some selfish billionaire who doesn't know what he's doing?!? He was just bought by the most successful breeding operation IN THE WORLD. Check out coolmore.com and get a clue before you post stupid comments

  • is this keenland?

  • The young lad handeling him done amazing considering the horse was hyped up!

  • @MsSunnyRainy They didn't spend $16M on him to jump him. He was bred to race and bought by people looking for a racehorse. He failed as a racehorse, so they sent him to stud in the hopes of recouping SOME of the money they lost on him. Horses like this don't get second careers, they get early retirement.

  • He's pretty but if I'm going to pay 16M for a horse he better not have one conformation fault, have the best lineage, have awesome ground manners, fully broken and trained and he better know some damn good dressage moves and jump the moon!

  • i didnt even watch the hole sale to know the people are stupid......for one the horse doesnt even know how to lead properly omfg what dumbasses

  • @barboro1 He's a 2 year old thoroughbred. He is an overgrown baby with a ton of energy that is supplemented by grain (which gives even MORE energy), surrounded by lots of people making lots of noise and an announcer making even louder noise. It has nothing to do with training.

  • With him being a young horse is exactly why he should not have a chain on his mouth I have raised a lot of horses and never have I used a chain not even on weenlings it just goes to show all these people care about is racing they don't give a damn about properly training a horse so long as its fast they don't care @Jailbirdx

  • @barboro1

    Hi

curious about why you mention not mouth shanking 2 yr olds- i.e young horses. I Hot Walk part time and always , if they aren't worked that day , just walked and no Tranq , the chain is put in the mouth. I am told to distract an otherwise overly frisky walking session in the shedrow. They spend the entire time chewing on it.Would be interested in hearing your view in more detail. Mouth too tender at that age ?

    Thanks

  • He's a beauty, that's for sure.. but like Secretariat's sister, Missed Opportunity, beauty simply isn't enough.

  • @dravenousone Fun fact: Secretariat doesn't have a sister named Missed Opportunity. The coin toss between Meadow Stud and Ogden Phipps decided who would get which foal from two back to back Somethingroyal - Bold Ruler breedings. Phipps won and chose the 1969 filly, The Bride. The Meadow was left with the 1970 colt, Secretariat. Hasty Matilda and her filly, Missed Opportunity, never existed.

Quite a bit of that movie strayed from historical fact.

  • omfg there they go again with that damn chain in there mouth seriously these people dont know how to train a good horse!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Horse shits at 3:37

  • Zenyatta is prettier :)

  • holly shit i would not like to ride him

  • beautiful

  • Haha, just did some research..

He hasn't won one race! He raced twice, 3rd and came 4th in a race for no-hopers. Then was retired. Stud fee is 5,000..... Goes to show money doesn't buy you everything!

  • Anyone know what age he was?

  • Is this horse called Ravenglass?

  • @magicdancer95 nope - his name is The Green Monkey

  • beautiful horse but i hate how it walks in front of the person leading him

  • I think for the two bidders at the end it wasn't so much about who got the horse but more about them just showing off their fat wallets.

  • You don't spend $16m on a race-horse, you pay $16m for the quality of the genes. Do you think the bidder was thinking "I hope he wins my money back" as he gave the winning bid?

  • he bought it for 16 milllion $ but doese he actually love the horse ??? beebbooo bbbeababbabababbabababobobob blevlble bulby bhvjf 123 going gone sold $16 milllion

  • he bought it for 16 milllion $ but doese he actually love the horse ???

  • 2:11 - 2:40 Same.. Like hell..

  • 3:52 wow that dude can talk fast.

  • What is so sad and sickening over this expenditure, is that in Florida, where this auction took place, there are thousands of homeless people. This horse is going to live a few years and die. The horse is beautiful, but had the purchaser used that money to house men, women, and children, to help the poor and needy, then he or she would had been blessed far more exceedingly, than for spending that kind of money on a horse. It is so sad that crazy people are blessed with this kind of wealth.

  • The funny thing is the guy who lost the bidding war walked away the real winner seeing that the horse didnt win back even a fraction of that. It doesnt matter how much money you have thats just fuckin ridiculous. its a great looking horse but there is nothing about this animal that sets it millions of dollars apart from another horse.

  • JEEZUS!!!

     .....Co za asy!

  • those people have more money than god!!!

  • hahahahha he never won and made only $10.000

  • UNBELIEVABLE!!!! that someone has THAT much money 0_0 beautiful horse but omg that money could have rescused millions of NEEDY horse :/ whatever tho thats just how the world works Who is this horse anyways? :) Hes pretty but id never pay that much money for ANYTHING mostly because i DONT have that much money

  • I hope the horse runs away and goes out west to run with the wild ones.

  • I don't care if his pedigree is GODLY, I would never buy a racehorse with poor conformation. Look how long his topline is!

  • Gorgeous! Probably moving around cause the pinching chain is obnoxious in his mouth

  • @MeggyPoney i know absolutely gorgeous.

  • Such a shame he was a failure on the track- then again, I always love it when the horses that cost less win. Still, beautiful horse. I hope he can sire good racers.

  • The most powerful men in horse racing - John Magnier (Coolmore) and Sheikh Mohammed (Godolphin) bid him up. Thats the SECOND "dud" World Record price that Coolmore have bought out of the USA - they paid I think $13m in 1983 and he was crap too. Good to see the "little horses" doing well, a Group 1 winner in 2010 cost only £23,000 as a yearling at the sales. Who says yearling that cost millions will be super stars? Not me.

  • You can get a nice investment real estate for

    $16,000,000.

That man should have given me the money

so I could have gotten off SSI giving a

disabled person a chance to own a bussiness

    then lose on that horse.

  • His Pedigree says that he only had 3 starts, i think its wrong to judge a horse on that.

  • Sixteen million? And he never won a race?? I wish I had that kinda money.

  • all they care about is the money... they dont care about selling a horse, they dont care about selling their best friend. they dont even know..

  • That's a really stunning animal I must say ;)

  • 16 million uh that horse better know how to FLY!!!

  • I can't even understand what the auction man is shooting out! GOD he speecks so fast!

  • Did he ever ran in the Breeder's Cup?

  • @Bori96

Ha ! run in the breeders cup, the best he ever doid was start in an allowance race and I think he only ran twice and is now in Fl.

  • that was fun to watch. nice job on the video. captured all the drama and excitement.

  • i bet they made the money back with stud fees lol

  • one white leg means good luck :)

  • Now standing in Florida for a 5K stud fee..what a joke

  • @imaliberal

    i don't understand this

is that horse now for sale

    for $5,000.

  • @The391956

His Stud fee is now 5K I belive not his sale price.

  • bahahhaa i bet the guy who finally stopped bidding and walked away just goes to bed every night laughing

  • Beautiful, powerful looking horse. But not NEARLY worth $16,000,000.

  • look at those legs!

  • lets straighten all this confusion out. first, he is in no way shape or form part QH is a purebred, thoroughbred. He's by a TB stallion out of a TB mare. And no, $16 million will not necessarily buy you a triple crown winner. And, racehorses DO NOT get shot OR sent to slaughter, in the past, yes they have been, but now a days, it does not happen anymore.

  • I don't know who would pay 16mill for the horse that have not win a race at all.

  • thats in auction

  • Stupid rich fucktards! No one is willing to pay f.e. 16 Million for a bunch of hostages, but a stupid horse - of course, why noooot?

Hope the owner rides the horse, falls of the horse and breaks his neck. -.-"

No envy - just sick of those people.

  • 16 million. And Zenyatta was $60,000. There's a lesson there somewhere.

  • hes so pretty i just hope all the horses go to good homes :)
