  • I agree with some of the others...you need more passion in your playing. Go out and find a pretty girl and let her cheat on you with your best friend and steal all your money and your dog. Use that pain in your playing but stay away from country music and you'll do fine... :-)

  • Hey listen!

    Which guitar is it?

  • Kh-2? For Comfortably Numb? That's new xD Sounds very nice though, bit too much metal over it, considering it being psychedelic rock.

  • just a bit too fast for mee for this song i guess =/

  • Comment removed

  • what effects are u using? and amp

  • your really good but the sweeping sounds awful

  • i think u r good, but I can not feel the passion like i feel when it is performed by D.G.

  • wow 5*

  • nice!

  • You're an extremely talented guitarist, and your technique is very very impressive. I think this is a bit out of left field, and doesn't have quite the same feel as Gilmour, but the purpose of a player improv is to make it your own and I think you succeeded wonderfully.

  • mm nice try, but out of style..and often totally out of the chords...

speed is not the key to the the feel..

  • I'm sorry but it's a torment!

    the BT is Horrible!

  • Think you'd be better off sticking to vai...seems more your style. Great technical skill but just doesn't have the gilmour feel

  • Good but little to much but u have talent kid!, listen to Queenscryte and dream theater version when they duo, Petrucci makes it just to good

  • absoloutly beautiful.I loved it.I wish I was as good at improvising as you.And the sweeps.WWHOAH.

  • I'm sorry, but no matter how technically good you are, it is a Million Miles from Dave Gilmour. to me it is all about how you FEEL the notes, not kill them. call me old fashioned, sorry.

  • wooooooow

  • Love Pink Floyd and your improv ads such a terrific brightness to this work of art, the mechanics of that brilliant left hand just is a thrill to watch. Hours and HOURS of hard work HAVE PAID OFF. ONLY 6 yrs. god you are truly blessed with this gift, so happy you are sharing with us all over the world. Peace and Love!!!! :-)

  • EMG81 ,81

  • may i ask what pickups you have there?

  • What do you get if you mix, David, Gilmour, Mike Oldfield and Eddie Van Halen... !!!! Brilliant !!! xxx

  • OMG I WANT YOU BABIES

  • Hey, I'm just curious, but do you know what the chord progression is in the solo?

  • yeahhhh !!!!!

  • nice

  • I'm not a fan of sweep, but you did a really good artistic INTERPRETATION here. I LOVE David Gilmour, and no one can do him better than him, but copy is the best form of flattery! Well done.

  • Meh its okay, the sweeping doesnt fit at all, I think it was ment to be slow.

  • you pretty uch made your own song great improvising but no one can match david gilmours style and emotion in a guitar

  • you made this version your own

  • 2:11-2:13 very cruel. good technique, but i like the slow version more..gil-more.

  • It's not too shabby, but the thing about how Gilmour plays it, and how it was written is the emotion and feeling, that's what makes it the masterpiece it is.

  • dave would be proud of you. Well done!

  • that sweeping pat at 1:18 is awesome good job man

  • Very un-David Gilmour. The style would be much better with different music.

  • great job! but slow and cleaner is beater sorry 3/5

  • you have too finish on the root notes at the end of each bar.

     could have been better

  • no feeling . thats a show

  • i agree

  • yeah...

  • there is feeling at parts. i can feel it when im not looking at the video.

  • The playing was GREAT... but the background needs to be quieter... jeez

  • verdammt, sehr schnell aber sehr melodisch Gut gemacht!!

  • This song is comfortably numb you say?

  • Канечно ТАЛАНТ!!!!

Респект!!!! he said great talent and respect.

  • reminds me on Mr. Batio.

great technic, no sense for music.

sometimes... totally out of scale, and just "not fiting"

get a band, with own songs you play, that helps a lot!

    You`ve got great potential!

  • nice man!!!

  • Same goes for this video man, Amazing, If you don't mind when I put up some vid's of me playing , you think you can tell me what you think of em?

  • fuckin amazing!

  • 1:17

    is a WOW

  • AMAZING !!! Need more !

    please continue =p

  • need more videos man.

  • Канечно ТАЛАНТ!!!!

    Респект!!!!

  • What He Said!!!!! /\

  • dude, that was amazng, great job bro. i think i crapped

  • GREAT MEN!!!

  • Not bad. Pretty good actually.

Check out my version if you have the time.

    And keep on rocking!

  • Man your technique is excellent but the improvisation parts are completely out of scale... it sounds very bad sometimes.

  • ya i agrea! but its stil verey good

  • dude in one year of playing non stop you can build the techniques to play a realy hard song so ur comment is stupid...

  • this vid was made 1 year befor he made the no boundries video. so ...........yea

  • where it was really good i dont think its in good taste to the original

  • very good playing but all that stuff really doesn't fit to the song...amazing playing anyway...5 stars

  • His name is Gilmour. Without "e"..

    Anyway, nice solo.

  • backing track way 2 loud

  • o shit this is amizing and super !

  • like it better then the original

  • well your sweeping wasen't perfect, but it was nice great feeling in it!

  • First 45 seconds were all right, then you started going a little blander with the generic pentatonic stuff, and it didn't really work, then you went into some off-pitch sweeps and tapping that straight up did not work with the song. Stick to what you know man.

  • Wicked good man. I hear a lot of feeling in it, and even though you went fast at parts, it seemed complete to me. I'll be looking forward to your next performance.

  • it sounds good to me till u went 2 da sweepin

  • i'm able to play this solos but your improvisations are just awesome man great job (sorry for my approximative english)

  • that was awesome man. mad shredding skills

  • RAPER

  • I didn't hear any thing wrong, He made it his own!

  • To be honest, everything was okay until you kinda raped the song with your shredding ;d.

You confused the bands, Pink Floyd isn't Racer X ;)

The sweeps you've done were COMPLETELY out of tune, so was the tapping.

Summary: everything's okay if you play it slower ;)

    Cheers, Mike.

  • same thing here ;)

  • well i cant say that i dont like the originall better but for changing a jazz song and incorperating shredding into it i have to say thats pretty impresive

  • out of tune sometimes.

  • That was shredding uncomfortably dumb...

  • lol! :D thats kinda funny ;D

  • for the first solo, very nice indeed,

you raped the end solo though...

    basically what you did is

pick 2 notes from scale, p,h,p,h,p,h,p,h

    pick other 2 notes, p,h,p,h,p,h,p,h

    pick other 2 notes, p,h,p,h,p,h,p,h

    etc...

give it feelings man, this is a slow progression, give it its time and worth, and for God's sake, stop spamming 2 notes between the technique of spamming 2 notes, you have great potential

(i'm not pretending to be a great impro guitarist, but I know one when I see one)

  • yeah I know, there's a lot of h,p,h,p stuff there ;) not very creative. I have to do much more harmony and musictheory. But I've started to learn it some time ago ;)

  • ltd kh 202 or 602?

  • actually its kh-2

  • nice guitar man as that a kirk hammet make? good use of improvising 5 stars

  • hey man i like your style and im glade you made your version of the song shows you got talent.

    respectfully: The Grim Reaper

ps can you put up tabs for your version. i would like to try your way

  • aww i like this! : )))

  • Like most comments, that was a great video and you have an incredible ear, the sweeping a tad out of place but still appreciated. If you could somehow write a tab (preferably guitar pro5) of some of this stuff, it would be greatly appreciated by much I'm sure, including myself, send me a pm if possible :)

  • It's not that easy to tab sth which had been improvised 1 1/2 years ago :D I think it's also not really worth it. Learn the main solos of comf numb and do some own stuff between these solos ;) This song is a great jamtrack and you can do really awesome stuff with it

  • Yeah I have already learned them, it is a fun couple of solos to play, I just like your added notes in the first solo, but thanks :)

  • youve got great technique and all, and the sweeping bit was awesome, but out of place for a solo like this

  • that was great!!

but i got to say that u' ve got to learn a bit ore about timing: speed is something cool/special and u got it. the difficultis now to plce a fast lick between a slowly melody so the people watching get shocked in a positive way. sometimes i think u did to much of the fast fast stuff stuff so it didn't come like something REALLY special...

  • I never wanted this thing to be "special" ;) but you are right, today I know that I rushed this one too much

  • Dude keep doing what you do man....The KEy word for me was improvised ..For only playing for 6 years you can tell you put alot of heart and soul in your playing to get that good so fast..

  • 0_0 ur awesome!!!!

    lol

    btw it's anori

    XD

  • Damn man, awesome stuff... I ran into your video looking for Gilmoure stuff. Love your show man,no doubt. Hey, would love to see a vid of yours of same tune but without the improvised stuff, there is this thing that I got that Gilmore leading is hard to really duplicate, but man, you close, scary close! ;)

    Txs for sharing this.

  • cool chromatic tapping bit!

  • +1

    that was crazy.

  • Very great!

  • ^beautiful^

  • Nice improve, from experienced musician

  • gd to see you plugging ur own skills there

  • hey, that was amazing, but don't let no boundaries by MAB (which you executed perfectly) bleed into your other playing when it shouldn't (like @ and around 1:25. I think after that patch, you completely owned that solo. bravo!

  • great shredding

but dude, not the song as many others have pointed out

    good job either way man

  • by ur name im guessing u play an ESP they really r da best. oh and good job i liekd it.

  • i'm sorry to tell you that in spite you have tried to impove it you have just ruined it

  • lol

learn how to read first and then read my description to this video... you will realize that I never wanted to improve this one

  • "Improvise" means make up on the spot...not improve, and he didnt ruin it, its f***in badass! it just goes to show that there can be more than one solo to the same song, musicians do it all the time, listen to a live cd, they wont follow their studio solo

  • Well Done. One of my favorite solos.

I love the improv! Cant believe you were able to stay true to the melody of the solo while adding so much of your ownn stuff.

Heard some good stuff in there. Keep it up!

    More!

  • rotfl...specially 1:30 onwards...

  • to tell the truth thats some good shredding, but never again with this song

  • dude uve got amazing feel, but u shudnt shred on dese songs if u cant shred properly

  • Your good at guitar but Pink Floyd and Yngwie Malmsteen do not mix. Also, there is no way to make that solo better, one of the best solos of all time.

  • Dude It's mental and everything it's great but David doesn't over do it. of all the songs to shred u shouldn't shred this one. The original sounds better. what's the point of putting all that work into it by doing that. if u were going to perform that nobody would listen to it they would walk out.

  • Don't worry, I'm not going to play that version live, so the people won't fall asleep during my concerts ;D

  • you play since 5years ????

  • I'm afraid it left me cold...

  • yes, yes, yes you did rush it a bit. So what, you only got a 9.99 out of ten for that. Ease it up, add some spice and you're gonna be at 100 out of 10. Mind blowing stuff, thanks alot.

  • wow cool whatever loved it

  • i must have listoned to this about 50 times. its one of the best fuckin solos i've ever heard.

  • lol :D

thank you ;) yes it is pretty well played technically but today I think, that I rushed on it a bit too much. I played the original solo note by note on our school-musical a few weeks ago and now I love the original solo much more than this shredd-crap :D

but nevertheless I like this one also :)

  • i would love to see you play the original. i would love to see you improvising anything actually. again, this solo is fuckin awsome. x

  • I was going to say that you should stick to the old solo too. |]

  • rofl its funny

    its good

but like coz ive heard the original - original just so much more passive n perfect

  • Pretty good I just thought the Metallica-style metal shredding bit didn't really work. The rest was very good.

  • That was fantastic... I know you were not trying to imitate the original and what you've made of it was great... My score!!! 10 :c) I like your originality... You really know how to pick that thing... Keep up the good work...

  • thanks ;)

  • hammett's licks won't work for pink floyd buddy.

    but good work anyway!

  • Holy Shit 2! ^_^

    Malik // BARRACUDA

  • i wanna make sweet love to my woman to this tune!

  • NO!, NO!, NO!, sorry, awesome talent but, es uno de los solos mas impresionantes en la historia del rock, no necesita adornos ni que se le agregue nada, hay 10000 tracks a los que se les puede agregar talento, a este no, is not necessary, he is sacred, impresiona por si solo, SORRY GILMORE, IT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT DOES

  • ROFL xD

do you always use two languages on the same sentence? freak xD

  • wow you speak German too?

  • sure, i live in germany ;)

  • Ah I see, didnt know Killswitch was big over there, danke! sweet playing!

  • fuckin awesome

  • lol heavy rock metal on pink floyd :D

i prefer the original solo style but YOU rock man really

  • r u gilmore in disguise

  • holy shit

  • Oh noch ein aachener gitarrist...wow du hast es echt drauf, auch wenn die sweepings nicht so wirklich zur stimmung des restlichen songs passen, technisch: 5 + sterne!

  • was ist das für eine gitarre?

  • ESP KH-2 Kirk Hammett Signature

Zock mal was von Mercenary ^^

  • Danke ;D

Von Mercenary? mh, leider spielen sie 7-Saiter und es gibt kaum Tabs ;)

  • Schade :( naja versuch wars wert ^^

  • Speechless.

  • Bombe! ich bezweifel zwar, das David Gilmour das so improvisiert hätte, aber... echt geil!

    was fürn amp spielst du?

  • Ich hab nen Peavey Bandit 112 (Schrott!), aber dafür das Boss GT-8

  • Hey Paul, ahmmer Video, einfach geil, mehr davon!

    Greetz, der Ice

  • Hey, You have a Kirk hammett Sig guitar .. Niceeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • ein nice auch von den fuersten!

  • Oh my God,
