  • such a pretty bird!

  • I just lost my female Sun Conure back in October 2010. :o( This reminds me of her. She didn't do the flip like you Sun does. She did a spin, hanging with her beak from the top bar, with her hanging up and down, she'd spin in a complete circle. My Green Cheeck, flipped like your Sun. I lost him the same day. I had her for 9 years and the GCC 7 years.

  • @daberdo57 I'm so sorry to hear. Loosing both on the same day, wow. . .

I've had Bo for 16, and I know he's pushing 20 from one side or the other. They can grow on you, as you and I both know. Bo's in great shape, and I hope that continues. Good thing he has health care through his employer.

  • how do you teach ur parrot to do triks...PLZ RESPONDE im having trouble for my parret to even get on my fingers nd ive had her for 2 years =(

  • @chuwi24 You need basic training. The trick was taught by holding him on my finger, bending the finger and turning him upside down. It only took 15 minutes until he figured it out..

Everyone likes to hold him and make him go around their finger. He'll do it far anyone.

  • Parakeets is a term for a wide variety of broad-tailed parrots.

  • @EA1088 I believe the definition of parrot has to do with the feet, with the two sets of opposing toes.

You are correct, a parakeet IS a type of parrot. They are very intelligent and can be taught to do a lot of things.

They haven't evolved to the point where they discover they can use their hands yet. Look out when they figure that out. lol

  • @vidguy007 omg that is soooooo cute!

@LatitudeDigital I have 5 parakeets a nanday conure and a cockatiel and another one coming on tuesday. our parakeets are handtamed. hey, did u know that parrots are actually the parakeets? "parakeets" are actually budgerigars

  • @iluvabiline I believe you mean parakeets are parrots. Have you seen Bo's channel? More videos there.

  • @iluvabiline I think it's fairer to say that parakeets are parrots. Budgies are commonly called parakeets in the US, I have no idea why.

Parakeets are a species of parrot.

  • awesome!!!!

  • awwww...coot =) how'd you get him to do that? can i teach my parakeet that?

  • @LatitudeDigital

    Hi;

Parakeets are far smarter than they are given credit. I held him on my finger, bent my finger then turned him upside down then right side up. 15 minutes iof that and he had the idea.

People love to hold him on their hand because he will do this for anyone.

  • hehe your birds on vibrate :P lil cutey!

  • lovely

  • LOL

  • @semaz94 LOL? I'd like to see YOU try that trick.

  • Bird seed provider, lol. thats cute ^_^

  • So cute! I have a green cheek conure and he does that little 'anxious wiggle' when he wants to go somewhere too :)

  • I had one of those. It so loved me.

  • oh hes cute i have a peach heaed conure. he has anger problems

  • hmm it seems as if he wants to fly upwards but can;t because my bird does that when it wants to leave

  • @WhoSfgas Its a way of saying "Pick me up" read it in a bird magazine.

  • That's quite a cute sun conure you have, there.

  • Ha ha! Cute

  • Goofy parrot, he gets so excited. Also is the word 'Trigger' used similarly as 'Que'.

  • Hey look, its Bo. Hi Bo!

  • Your bird is wonderful! welcome our video with regent parrot's tricks. We are from Russia

  • whats the song called?

  • Parrots are much like dogs, where they want to please. Bo is always visibly happy (as in this video) when he completes a trick.

  • hee hee. that's always cute when they're excited and think they're going somewhere. :3 cute bird though.

  • "He thinks we are going somewhere."

If he had a partner, that would not make him sad and nervous. ;-)

  • very cute

  • He's so cute!

  • did you use an imac to do that?

Beautiful bird. i love conures. Never had one myself but they seem really cool.

  • A Powerbook.

Sun Conures can be very sweet birds.

  • thts the same tipe i have ! =)

  • My blue crown conure and I think that Bo is a cool bird!

  • I hope you have been to the Botheparrot channel.

  • I have a pet chicken on my grampas farm ^_^

And mine is an actual pet chicken we didnt just go outside and steal a chick XD

We bought her from a breeder ^_^

And yes, you do get chicken breeders XD

  • 0:35

    FINALLY!

  • Boring!

  • so cute~

  • wtf ur sick....

  • well go be a vegetarian i dont care but they anyways dont look yummy

2nd its full of feathers when chicken arnt

3rd why would u eat something so nice?

  • So chickens are not nice, huh? :) I had a friend who had a chicken as a pet. Turned out to be very smart one.He taught him tricks too, but then it was taken away from him and killed, because some people thought eating chicken was ok..Go figure. To me eating any animal is not normal, but it's my opinion.

  • Idiot! Chickens have feathers lol.

  • yea but chickens have more meat -_- unlike a parrot mostly boens and feather

  • "its full of feathers when CHICKENS ARENT"

I was responding to that not your theories!

And no chickens don't have more meat, the size makes it seem so but if you shrunk a chicken to that birds size it would have no more then that birds.

  • exacly if u shrink it but its big and has more meat when its bigger

  • CAUSE HE SO DAMN CUTE lmao...think it taste like chicken?

  • wow... i didn mean to start a vegetarian to carnivore war here...lol no i dont really want to eat him i have a yellow nape amazon and hes still walking upside down in his cage without even one missing leg... so shut the fuck up :D..everyone

  • What a cutie!

  • WAT SONG IS THAT?

    8L

    awsome conure btw! :D

  • Sweet video.

  • very attractive bird

  • Plus Sun Conures are loud.

At petland where i live in canada they are like $1000 at the pet store exspencive. Eeeek im getting a cockatiel woot i love em

  • Hahahah that first pic of the parrot spliced into the vid made me laugh. Perfect timing with the music

  • omg i just love birds

  • *Applauds* Well DONE little BO!

And Vidguy, thankyou so much for rescuing this little bird! If only more people would look at rescue sanctuaries!Second hand birds need loving homes too!

  • 2-$500, or free for a rescue. Bo was a rescue.

Bo has a subscriber to his channel OverTheRaynbow, about the 5th comment to this video. Ask them about how a rescue works.

    Bo was a rescue.

  • hwat type of bird is that?

  • Bo is a Sun Conure. A type of small parrot from the Amazon Rainforest.

  • I agree with you about their natural sounds. So many people say to me when I mention that I have parrots, "Oh can they talk!?" --It's the only thing that gives the birds value to many people! Whether they do or not, they're gorgeous, wonderful animals!

  • Very cute! It took him a minute but he did it!

  • cuuuuuute!

  • sweet birdie!!

  • yeah I like the natural bird talking better too! Why would I try to teach it english? it's not a human :) I understand you completely.

the real challenge is developing a language between you two where you can communicate. my bird and I were able to actually talk to each other, and we developped telepathy as well. The bird taught me that. This is no joke, birds have that sixth sense thing and you can tap into it. They sense intention and direction.

  • Bo and I talk to eachother all the time. If you live with a vocal animal you get where you can understand their sounds. Some, anyway.

He stands on my finger talking away. Some day I'd love to get it on youtube. He's telling me something important.

  • how is bo?

  • how is bo?

  • I'm fine, thanks!

  • lol

  • lol

  • Great trick

  • Aww! Bo's adorable! Such personality! Perfect music to go along with his trick, too! Is that you playing the guitar?

  • I wish, it's Garage Band. I play, but not that well.

Check out Bo's channel, Botheparrot. He has his videos, I have mine.

  • It that the Garage Band program from Apple? A friend of mine has it and is obsessed...

I checked out Bo's channel--too cute! I love sun conures!

  • Haha it's the default music for slideshows in iPhoto too!

  • How did you teach him that? I have a cockatiel, and I want to teach him that little trick :)

  • It took about 15 minutes. I held him on my finger, bent the finger then rotated my arm so he was upside down, then back again. They are eager to please, once they understand what you want. The key is to build trust first, then train.

I saw it on a video on Animal Planet. I'll bet it's on youtube somewhere.

Try looking for "clicker training" Bending my finger it the trigger for the trick.

  • My green cheeks do the crazy wing flippy thing when they're excited to. Its soo cute. Bo is gorgeous :)

  • I had a conure. Not sure what kind but he learned that. My moms African Grey can do that but we ahve to hold his back. We also have a parakeet, canary, and a cockatoo. The conure died so I'm going to get a new one this summer:]

  • i'm sorry your conure died...

I'm also very jealouse that you get a parrot! Xl

    I no haz birdie.... :(

  • thats adorable! ♥

  • thats it?

  • I want to get another lovebird for my female what should I do so they fight and how does a male lovebird look like

  • There are lots of very good books on bird behavior, including, "How to have a well behaved parrot."

  • great Job! how long did it take to teach him?

  • this is a pretty simple trick. it only took about 1/2 hour, maybe. You have to reinforce it once in a while.

  • I love how he needed a few minutes until he was ready....

  • my sun conure talk, well not exactly, He laughs and makes a kissing noise for me. But whats more important is the love these little birds can have for their owners, making them my favorite breed of small parrot

  • Sun conures cant learn to talk, and mine also flaps his wings like that when she wants to go somewhere, its hilarious.

  • We can learn to talk. We just aren't very good at it.

  • not Sun Conures

  • Yes - sun conures can learn to talk. They aren't particularly good talkers and they aren't as clear as something like an African Grey, but they can certainly learn to say some things.

  • Then I'm sure my Sun Conure that screams night night, says hello, step up and various other of things really isn't talking right?

No, they are not noted for talking but they can and they will, its just a little hard to understand most of the time.

  • Cool Trick I wonder If I can Get My Cockateil To do that

  • That is an easy trick to teach. All you do is hold the bird on your finger, then slightly bend your finger then rotate your hand to turn him upside down. Once the bird sees that bending your finger means to go around he will do it. let me know how you do.

  • my cockatiel does it its easy for them! she was only 8 months old, she learned it at like 6 months!! if your cockatiel is a girl, thats what they do to protect their nests in the wild, so itll come naturally =D

  • btw cute trick and cute when hes excited

  • 'he thinks we are going somewhere'

    you take him out?

  • I love my sun conure, they say that you can teach them to talk but I heard its unlikely.

  • They aren't good talkers like an Amazon, but they can be taught. Bo says "Hi,' he learned it because I always say it to him. I like the bird sounds better.

  • lmao, I love the Goffin Cockatoos voice when they learn to talk. Its so cute

  • SUN CONURE THEY R BEAST BUT MINE IS LAZY :/ i still love him

  • Bo has his own channel with videos from his point of view. check out his channel: Botheparrot

  • SO CUTE!

  • aww hes so cute. i love the way he was getting all exited it made me laugh it was adorable

  • What a little cutie, bless him :) :)

  • Actually you don't teach birds to talk, they do it because they find the like to interact with the way their flock talks.

  • so cute!!!!

  • Lol... my Sun conure does the same thing when he thinks we are going some where but i wish i could teach him a trick.

  • how do you train him to do that

    plz anwser

  • It took about 15 minutes. I held him on my finger, bent the finger then rotated my arm so he was upside down, then back again. They are eager to please, once they understand what you want. The key is to build trust first, then train.

  • cool thanks

  • I saw a video on Animal Planet that showed parrot training. I would bet youtube has it somewhere . . .

  • ill be looking 4 it

  • If I tried to teach this two my two lovebirds, they'd be like, whatever, I'm moving to a perch that doesn't move!

  • hOW DO YOU MAKE A VIDEO

  • with a camera

  • nice the only trick my 3 conures know is bite, i also have 5 doves and 2 parakeets its loud

  • This is so cute! I like how excited he is about going somewhere. Bo does his trick very well. The only "trick" my green cheeked conure knows is to go poopie on command.

  • I go in the trash can next to my cage.

  • He`s so happy that he shakes! How cute. I knew a dog that did that to

  • It might be attention deficit disorder. lol

  • Birrrrrrrrrrrrrd-ayyyyyyyyyyyyy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cute,Cool,;-)

  • VERY cute!

  • **pees herself laughing** Yep, that's a conure for ya! Love the trick and the presentation of this vid. Had to fave it!

  • Bo is very cute.

  • Aww, cute trick! I can tell that he really likes you. My Caique gets excited the same way when he thinks we're going out. He loves meeting new people.

  • Thank you for entering the contest. Good Luck

  • great jo Bo !!! very cool

  • so cute!!

how long it tok for u to train it?

it's so cute when it's flapping it's wings..

    lol

  • Aww what a cutie. But I didnt like how he was fluttering the wings, like as though he was nervous or those clipped wings were annoying him causing him to not concentrate

  • Adhd, lol. He always gets excited when I pick him up. They love attention. I think he thought we were going somewhere, as I had his carrier out.

  • neet way to trigger a trick . i think i will try this with my budgie see if he will do it.thanks for the vid and the idea.

  • lol, bo is so cool!

  • Bo is so adorable.

  • omg so cute! i have a parrot just like this one! Her name is melody. the only differance i can see between them is mine has a blue crest

  • Thats hilarious hilarious hilarious. Bo keeps on leaning to one side than another one side another... .

  • Bo, we love you sweetiepie!!! When are you going to make more videos?

  • My owner has to hold the camera for me, I'll ask him. One more subscriber and it's time for another subscriber squawk-out, tell your friends and animals to sibscribe!

  • You have nice spelling and grammar for someone who is a hunt and peck typer...

  • i love him. but i think he has adhd issues. lol. i was really laughing alot

  • Bo needs more camera time :) This was one of the first parrot videos I ran across on youtube.

  • Beautiful bird. Great Video.

  • Dickens123 sent me here. I just loved the trick and patience that went with training. LOVE the guitar too!

  • Woweewow!! That is one fantastic parrot. I had one as a kid who would on only say "cracker" when he was hungry! Mr Chips would fly around our back yard! He hated my sister who teased him & one dat when she walked by he was on my shoulder & bit me! My mother found another home for him. I was heartbroken because I had bonded with him & vice versa! He was agreat pet! 5 starz!!

  • wow that was cool!

  • too cute!

  • that trick is cool. Good job, Bo!

  • Thats cute!

  • Whooooa, nice! Must have taken a while- Bo is cute!

  • Awesome! He is darling! Did you specifically teach him to do that? We haev three Jendays and would love to teach them tricks!

  • Yes, I trained him to do this. They are easy to train.

  • How did you train him... mine just wont! he gets too frisky and bites
