I liked all of their styles honestly they all mesh differently like hillel had that original funky feel and frusciante in early years was also very funky and melodic as well then after californication carried on with melodic and moving and navarro was an edgy shred guitarist that also mixed very well giving them that edge again, and now josh is a very noise oriented guitarist and is also very skilled and brings that experimental feel to his solos and performance. I like them all :)

People dont understand.. When someone quits the band its not because they think they can do better.. Its either because the bands not going in the direction they would like.. or they are having serious problems with drugs. John left because he was high all the time and the he didnt like all the fame. They kicked Anthony out because he was a fuckeup. He sobered up and they asked him to join them again. Change is a good thing. Shut the fuck up and enjoy them tunes.

its true that with a different member, the style & sound changes. hillel and irons was when they were beginning, having fun, being loud, experimental, and music came from drugs and sex. when frusciante came in, the music came from life experiences, tributes to hillel, and its them growing up. and dave navarro... idk wat to say about that lol.

Coffee shop and Aeroplane are okay songs. But one hot minute is undoubtley not the RHCP's best work. Every other album can be argued the best album by the red hot chili peppers. But one hot minute was a disaster. Anthony wasnt there for a couple songs. Slovak was gone. John was gone. Irons was gone. Dave's a good guitarist but its impossible to fill Frusciante's shoes and Frusciante did an awesome job replacing Slovak. And smith did an awesome job replacing Irons.
