It shouldn't matter but the status quo has been broken. It's amazing bu at the same time, it scares me because a lot of people did vote him in just because of his presence of melanin. lol. I just hope that he, his cabinet, and the Congress do the "right" thing!
Yes, it is. After an administration that was aimless in leadership, we have a new direction, where for once the world rejoiced together. Mr. Obama has a lot on his plate. However, you got to give him the credit, the courage, and the fortitude that he has. As an American citizen himself who taught Constitutional Law, who fought for civil rights in court, worked to make a neighborhood a better place, and has experienced the same woes and peril, The United States of America needs someone with hope.
That's just it, our present administration was anything BUT aimless. Granted in some eyes we didn't have any "positive" directions...we definitely headed into certain areas which made our country look and feel in a way that it never has before. First time real people (people who have to work for a living) have pride in their president here, for a long time. Clinton was cool to some, but this is way different on so very many levels. I mean even little kids understand...
Too many jackasses are running around screaming "Yes we can" and "Obama".
I'm all for positive and necessary change, which time will tell if Obama brings, but some people need to relax with this spiel. I'm already tired of it, and it'll probably die down once he gets in office, but I don't know if I can stomach listening to some people go on and on about him until then. If race doesn't matter, then it really shouldn't matter if the president-elect is yellow, brown, or white.
YES WE CAN! OBAMA OBAMA!
