  • What is the power output/rpm?

  • @gorgeousdzastr, i have the results on another video here: "5 phase 24m-20c 100t 18awg star-24v-test-44 axial flux vawt wind turbine"

  • You can nearly eliminate cogging by putting two less or two more coils on the stator than you have permanent magnets on the rotor. This was invented over 100 years ago but no one does it... except Bill Muller before he died, but he just used one more or less. Al Francour made it better with two more or less. This concept is pretty ideal for a VAWT because the magnets can be mounted on the rim for increased speed (higher voltage).

  • does the slanting of the magnet reduce the gearing problem that most stators have?

  • Yes it did reduce the couging, but it also reduced the volts output. that was my experiance.

  • and I thought my slide show sucked

  • @25slim82 it does

  • nice shooting there, seven angle of the same thing Dislike

  • @25slim82 and stop trolling. ya fail

  • am pretty new to this stuff, very interesting but audio would be very helpful. Thank you foe the vid

  • Hard to watch not informative enuf for are day in age was like going back in time to silent films

  • by the looks of this you are slowly but surely driving yourself insane? what is it exactly you are trying to achieve? I may have the answer

  • you are showing a lot of same photos for explain... no wonder why the video clip is too long...

  • What's the advantage of slanting the magnets?Did you give any thought into using 2 strands of wire with half the turns per coil? You can edit your discription and put info more info in there, like disk dia. air gap etc. instead of adding notes. Nice video though shows a lot.

  • @wiboater4

What's the advantage of slanting the magnets?I was able

to gain 6% efficiency on the 5 phase project only

I have not given any thought into using 2 strands of wire

with half the turns per coil, not yet anyway.

    maybe in the future.

  • @wiboater4 the only real reason for people slanting the magnets is when the coils have a steel core it helps with cogging so in this case i see no actual benafit.2 strands is going to give half the voltage. If done efficiantly there should be no space between coils on a axial flux.5 phase vs 3 phase also helps to keep the voltage down and also gives a slight advantage due to the speed in wich power is delivered.

  • NICE WORK ON THE CASTINGS. LOTS OF PICTURES AND MEASUREMENTS. I LIKE THE LOOK ON THE SLANTED MAGNETS. MORE VOLTAGE YOU SAY. I BET THE VOLTAGE ON THE METER WAS THE SLANTED MAGNET ROTOR UNIT.

    GOOD JOB.
