In other words not only is he a master swordsman, kido, and hand-to hand combatant, he was freaking GENIUS to the MAX and yet so modest and humble. If it wasn't for hogyoku Aizen fused with, Kisuke killed Aizen three times over. Indeed the best character in Bleach, hands down.

@ll96ify maybe because there were people there who would be caught up in his attacks if he used bankai and so he decided to just implant the kido and hoping ichigo would become strong enough to weaken him enough for it to take effect

there can be a number of reasons why he didn't use it but this one seems the most plausible
