  • Look at this pathetic woman.

Saying that there is nothing wrong with North Korea, sitting here, a free woman proud of receiving a medal from the most oppressive, fascist prison state in the world.

She would never ever give up her freedoms she so enjoys to go and live in a country where not only are people starving, but are unable to express any view that counters the perverse forced love of the "Dear Leader".

Shame on her for trying to say what the North Korean people do, or don't want.

  • True, but she is right about the reasons why nations like the DPRK arm themselves. Iraq was invaded by the US because it was virtually defenceless and the US won't invade a country that can defend itself.

  • Yes I think that is correct, Kim Jong will do anything to staying in power, even if it means diverting what tiny resources the country has towards a Nuclear Warhead programme.

But it certainly doesn't detract from the point that this woman defends the administration in North Korea - a free woman, sitting there with freedom of speech, the freedom to say what she likes in open - is defending a country that forces you to worship your leader, and treats every one of its citizens like a prisoner.

  • Yeah I agree. I don't know how anyone can defend such a regime.

  • If you look up the website of "The Communist Party of Britain Marxist-Leninist", and look for their statements on there, you can find out. It will be the most perverse and laughable thing u've ever read.

They all went over there, as guests of the fascist regime, were no doubt treated in a way a North Korean could only dream, and were filled with the same perverse propoganda that Kim Jong tells his people, and came back to the UK lavishing an extraordinary amount of love and praise towards it.

  • Well it's not a fascist regime.

  • Yes it is.

It's an extremely nationalist & authortarian regime.

It suppresses ANY criticism of the government.

It believes in the superiority of the Korean people over others - notably anyone Western - as repeatably stated in the propaganda it teaches the unfortunate souls who live there.

It has created a cult of personality around it's dictatorship of leaders.

North Korea IS a fascist regime - just because it calls itself communist doesn't mean it isn't fascist in every way.

  • Yes, but I've always felt that corporate rule is the essential qualifier for a fascist state.

  • The government is also the corporate in this case.

  • Hmmm, I think you may be correct.
