i think avery goes a little too far. tyson nash was a disturber too and it worked but didnt take it to the "classless" lengths avery does. the nash/avery style does and a flare to the game though...just too far on avery's part.

@tomlambsays The Rangers during the 2007-2008 season were better with Avery in the lineup. In Dallas, Avery was considered the disease that destroyed teh team which was not the case. The Dallas Stars just wantd to blame all their troubles on Avery. I Love Avery and what he brings to the game. He is colorful and while you look at him, he is a decent player too.

He got fired because the Bolts were all hyped up on Stamkos playing with Vinny and Marty and when they played exactly how everybody else thought they were, they fired him. He coaches tough and in your face. They thought that wasn't the right way to coach a bunch of young guys. Probably would have ended up exactly the same if they decided to stick it out.
