  • thank you, i was looking for a new style (i have been natural for over 10 yrs).

  • This style would have been more preferrable for me without using the flex rods and allowing hair to air dry.

  • you helped me to figure out wat to do woith mi hair because im natural to just didnt noe wat to do with mi hair also im 13 been natural for a year now

  • Love it

  • U SHOULD HAVE PUT THE CURLS AWAY FROM YOUR FACE IN THE FRONT PART OF YOUR HAIR MAYB YOU WOULD HAVE LIKED THE OUTCOME BETTER.

  • oh my gosh i was so surprised when you said you have a husband! i thought u were around my age (im 18). black women age beautifully. but how old are you?? older than 22?

  • @ashleydj7 im 25. is on my profile page

  • Cute natural style! I never thought to braid my hair like that....gotta try it out

  • i love this

  • Real cute:)

  • ilikethisvireoysoocom

  • I really love what you do to your hair! I was also looking for you at the hair show in Atlanta!!! Keep up the good work : )

  • i started going out my hair two years ago but it seems not to grow. and i want it to stretch out. What product do you suggest i use?

  • love it

  • Very nice. I am searching for some natural styles for my hair. It's not short or too long it's about in between so it's hard to try and figure out what to do with it. Do u have a tutorial on how you braided your own hair?? I have added hair to my own hair but I never thought about braiding up my own.

  • I am anticipating the big chop after watching your videos. You come up with beautiful styles.

  • i will be wearin my hair just like this, this summer :o)

  • this is so cute and cool

  • I've been growing my hair out from being relaxed for over a year and its now time to go all natural. Last week I cut most of the left over relaxer out of my hair. still have a little left. But I've been wearing the wash and go all week. I came across your videos while searching for product reviews and you really gave me ideas on what to do with my hair. thx mother use to braid my hair like that when I was little never thought to try this style now. thx again. Style looks great

  • I'm really feelin' this hairstyle ;)

  • Very nice!!!!

  • your hair looks soooooo pretty..ive done some of your styles on my sister nd they've turned out really pretty..thx for the inspiration!!

  • lovely!

  • How long does it take you to braid your hair? I want to try out one of your braided styles but I'm a impatient person and don't like sitting down for hours.

  • i have been natural for 3 yrs and i want to try this style but my hair gets really frizzy..what can i do about that?

  • your braids are soo small! do u have any problems with the ends tangling?

  • beautifful

    uauuuuuuuu

    congratulansionss

  • Has anyone ever told you that you look like Chili from TLC?

  • THIS LOOKS AMAZING!!!

  • How many different products are you going to use on your hair? Is it safe to use so many different things.

  • I loved both looks. Thanks for helping me love my naturalness.

  • I'm in the beginning stage of transitioning to natural hair and I am sooooooooooooo excited, but afraid at the same time. This video, along with all the other videos you've posted, have been helping me set aside my fear and continue on with the process. I've always loved to rod my hair and do single braids (back in the days when I was like in middle school lol) and I know I will be doing these styles. Thanks for your videos. Keep posting.

  • Thanks for the vid! Your hair look wonderful both times. I just braided my own hair for the first time yesterday and I'm just learning how to use the flexi rods. Thanks for showing how you do it. It looks much better and easier the way you did it.

  • I think your hair is amazing. I was shocked when you took the rods out, it looked like mini extensions and yet it's your own organic hair!! Last Saturday i was attending a 70th Bday function with my Mom and was feeling pretty low about my hair (natural for a number of years), however I managed to style it with a gold band and a huge flower at the back and the lady at the table next to me was practically cooing at how great my hair looked. She and your vid have inspired me to keep going.

  • your double hair colour's amazing. I liked the second one better too, but I actually liked it after you taking off the sponge thing to roll lol and before U unroll the braids! The thing U did in your other vid of coiling your hair with the comb wOw girl amazing. You do come up with very creative dos. BTW which sound/noise is that we keep hearing from the background during your vids?

  • You are just amazing Dimples. You have inspired me to just TRY to braid my own hair. I braid my daughters hair but I never have enough patience for myself. How long did these braids last you?, and how long did it take you to take them out? That is the part I hate!, but we will see. I'm going to give it a try. Thank You!

  • @PRETTYDIMPLES01 when you first did the mini braids, was your hair blow dryed out and did you have any products in it before you styled

  • THANKS FOR THE GREAT HAIRSTYLES....

  • @PrettyDimples01 what color is that in your hair? It looks like a deep wine or dark red. It is simply beautiful. I just love your hair styles and tips. Keep it up girl, who knows, one day you could have a natural hair show.

  • I've been natural for about 7 years and am SERIOUSLY considering cutting my hair... but you may have convinced me otherwise. :)

  • I can't wait for my hair to get long enough to do that. love your hair.

  • I absolutely loveeee it!!!!!

  • I love this style. You're very good at what you do. I'd like to know what you use to oil your scalp; my hair and scalp is always dry. Please help. Thank you very much for all of your time doing the tutorials.

  • I have seen most of your videos and I think your natural hair is so pretty and healthy looking. What products do you use on your hair to keep it healthy looking and growing?

  • Where did you get the daily defense condish from? Thanks =)

  • tip....u can get grapeseed oil and coconut oil in the groc store. i use them all the time in my hair and i make body butters and body scrubs with them. its amazing!!! its probably cheaper as well to buy them straight from the grocery store.

  • @brownsugar713 I have never seen grapeseed and coconut oil in the grocery store. Where do you usually shop for groceries? The whole food stores, gnc, and vitamin shop, sometimes are pricy!!!!

  • gurl dhem arm muscles ! lol wish we could switch. u lift weights ?

  • it looked better before u seperated the braids

  • I tired to do my mini braids! LORD THERE WERE A MESS! LOL!!! I dnt know what I did wrong. Im taking them out NOWWWW! HELP ME!

  • How long have you been natural? What did you do for protective styles during transition?

  • I have been natural for 2 years and I still don't know what a co-wash is. Can you explain? Sorry it can be brief if you like :)

  • @DarkSpecialEdition1 a co wash is when you wash your hair with only conditioner.

  • @DarkSpecialEdition1 I'm worst than you I don't know any of those B, C, D code lol... for curly/afro hair type.

  • did u do your praids yourself

  • bnv

  • i have locs but i LOVE your hair! Keep up the good work sister-girl!

  • all ur videos.....very nice. gave me some inspiration for styles once i mine gets longer...thanks

  • The curls are so cute

  • that is really pretty!!

  • Your hair is always soo cute. I agree with oB2be, it seems labor intensive but you make it look easy..............:-)

  • this was nice

  • wow your eye make up is..WOW!

and this video helped :) thanks x

  • I love all of your videos. Did you blow dry your hair prior to braiding it, and what do you do to prevent shrinkage when you wash it?

  • beauty3129- yes i have a video when i first did the braids. and as far as shrinkage its doesn't happen so much with the braids. i guess because the hair is tighter braided then it is twisted and it keeps its length

  • How did you take the braids down what did you use to save hair

  • How many braids are usually in the set you do? I love your color but I'm too scared to dye my hair.

  • I love the way that u do your hair. I have long hair as, but i am going 2 go natural because you look so pretty with your hair n the way u do it.

  • Your hair turned out absolutely wonderful. The color adds a bit more flare. So how long did it take you to take your braids down? I used to braid my hair like that years ago and it would take about half as long to take down as it did to braid it.

  • It was really cute, I see a lot of your videos are labor intensive but you make it look so easy. Love your style :-)

  • very inspiring. you have a beautiful vibe about yourself.

  • I love ur videos...I'm a hairstylists who decieded to go natural but wasn't sure of the versatility of natural bcuz I change my styles so much...thx to u showing I can still b versatile!!!!

  • I don't know why you didn't like the end result bc I really like it & gonna try it....ur hair is soooo cute!!!!

  • you know you can do some hair girl ...I hope I can become as good as you..stay beautiful!!!!

  • uhhh, yea. Officially using this channel for ideas. Thanks for putting your vids up. I really need to buy those rods...I keep putting it off.

  • lol i use that to mop my floor. I love the peppermint one, you can do so much with it. you can even brush your teeth with dr. bronners castille soap purest soap on earth. tea tree is good too

  • I LIKE THE STYLES YOU'RE VERY CREATIVE

  • mpoet...Im right w/ you when the weather breaks I am going to have much fun with my hair...yayyyyy

  • Comment removed

  • good idea using grapeseed, it is a heat protectant

  • hi, do u oil ur scalp? if so, where does that go in ur regimen and do u use an pplicator bottle? TIA

  • does the flexirods work on straight hair

  • pinkisbeta- oh yea you. it works well on straight hair too. :)

  • What is ur hair type? I've always wondered...

  • ConfusedCrazyCourt- 4a/4b

  • @PRETTYDIMPLES01

i am two but my nautral cursl are so frizzy and nothing really defines them. so i just stretch it out always

  • you would look pretty in twists too, i love your natural hair vids

  • i think all relaxed girls should see ur vids. it will inspire them and show them how beautiful our natural hair really is.

  • @genevieveEL not everone has her quality hair 4c is very hard to maintain

  • madea gose to jail suct in my opnion

  • You are so creative I love your styles.I thought the style came out beautiful. How did you do your braids?

  • BlackBeautyization- i have a video on it called "braids"

  • I have just spent the last hour going through your videos... awesome hair do.. and I'm feeling a lot better about not pressing my hair this summer.. question.. do you use MAC eyeshadow?

  • Your complextion is so beautiful. You look Somlian or something like that.

  • I loved that style on U. I tried it on my hair it didn't come out exactly like yours but I loved the results.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • grapeseed oil canbe found at some walmarts. I know i found it in mine. at the asian food section.

  • what a beautiful style!!!!!

    thank you for sharing :)

i am subscribing to your chanel :)

  • Where did you find your daily defense conditioner at? I thought is was discontinued.

  • Puffistuff- i never heard of that but i did get it a while ago. i think i got it from save a lot

  • when you left some of the ends loose did the hair stay like that or did you apply something onto it

  • aquaredpink- not sure what you are asking but i think you mean how did my ends become curly. just wetting them and putting gel on makes them that way

  • So that's how you're supposed to take flexi rods out! Your hai came out out great too

  • OMG! this is too cute! I love it..:))

  • Hi ..pertaining to your braids did you plait them all the way down or did you twist the ends. Looking at the vid i was trying to figure it out but i cant ..could you reply when you have the chance to ? Thanks ! OH i almost forgot i think it would have been really cool also if you rocked it like that at 5:29.Very Cute. XD.

  • i braided it and let some of the end loose/ the gel made the ends curl up

  • i have a question. Did you braid your hair wet or did you blow dry it then braid it? I think this style is soooo ca-yute! Ima have to steal it from you. I just need to know about your braiding first! Please let me know! Thanks!

  • u have thee best hairstyles!!!

  • Finally a video on how to use bendies thank u!!!

  • too cute!! ;0)

  • Thats really pretty!

  • thats really cute! I can't wait for my hair to get shoulder length so I can really where my natural hair. right now its in that in between stage. I've worn the fro hawk with cornrows on the front and sides for about five days and gave up. now I'm wearing tree braids. your hair looks alot softer than mine, but I'll try this style anyway once my hair grows more. keep the styles coming!

  • Thanks so much for the different styles for natural hair. I have not had a relaxer since 1999 but I have being wearing wigs because I only thought I could get it braided with extentions, wear a fro or wear a wig so I have been wearing wigs. Thanks again for showing the different looks for natural hair.

  • i like the look

  • This is so amazing how we can make our natural hair look however we want, yet some people prefer hair extensions and weaves. For protective styles, its cool i guess but boy, just looking at this style when you were taking the rods off, I was thinking "it looks like braids with extensions"... I don't know why Tyra keeps saying curly hair ain't versatile for the modeling industry but some of these hairstyles on YT sure prove her (and the whole fashion industry if that's what they think too) wrong!

  • hey PrettyDimples. Just a quick tip. I tried that exact same cocunut oil first and it started to leave little chuncks of coconut in my hair. So I tried Extra Virgin Coconut oil the kind you cook with and it is amazing it literally melts into your hands and into your hair. I promise you'll like it better. I'm new to You Tube but I really enjoy your videos keep up th good work.

  • You should always wear sleeveless clothes!

  • How long did you leave these mini-braids in?

  • candyshop511- 4 weeks

  • Thank you, they look great!!!

  • I recently made the decision to go natural and have been transitioning for a month. I have about 12 inches of relaxed hair ... too scared to BC but i ur channel is really motivating me to keep going. Most of the styles ppl have been suggesting r'nt appealing to me, Not enuff and just too much all at the same time, just whackness all around. SO THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for bringing some flare and creativity to the table. i'll stay tuned so plz keep it coming ;)

  • lyric610- wow thanks. im glad you like it and that i could help. :)

  • What did you do differently between the first flexi set(that you were not satisfied with) and the second set (which you were?) Thanks!

  • kymbo3500- i really don't know. maybe it was just that day or the way i styled it after. i just liked the way it look better the second day. lol

  • You always have the cutest styles

  • girl that dawg on movie was so funny

  • love it beautiful.

  • do you recommend this style for those of us who are in transition?

  • grape seed oil is really good for your skin! so definitely rub it on your scalp. you can also use it on your face and even add a Tbsp to a smoothie or use when cooking food :)

  • very cute! do you work out your arms are amazing!

  • I love that your hair color! I saw a girl with really dark purple in the same spot as your red and it was so cute!

  • So cool !!

  • this is really pretty. how long have you been natural?

  • That's so cute! Your hair looked great!

  • That is just so cute!

  • great i notice u dnt braid it to the ends.. wont it puf up went you wake up?

  • kekilicious11- no they are still curly when i wake up but i end up wetting the ends anyway but i don't have to keep apply gel

  • VERY CUTE!

  • Too CUTE!

  • this style is cute, and ur color brings so much definition!!

  • this is really cute! & the movie was very funny right =)

  • jazzyboo18- lol yea it was real funny

  • wowwowowowowow you did that. Love it to death hot

  • Really cute!

  • that turned out soooo cute!!!

  • Very nice. I bought some of that Dr. Bronners soap but I'm not sure how to use it. I used a little bit of it but I didn't get a lather at all. Do you dilute yours?

  • lvnmykinks- i use it as is. i get a good lather. maybe you can use some more drops to give it a lather or make sure you hair is really wet.

  • I love the style and everyone is right - you always change it up and your hair looks great. I liked it both times. Lovely!

  • i like it a lot..Good Job!

  • very cute!!!!

  • You always do your thing when you do your hair. I love the way it turned out both times.

  • Next time you could try a setting lotion. I used Lottabody on mine and I had curls for almost 10 days!

  • i like it better straight

  • Looks really good♥♥♥

  • i like.....

  • Your style turned out really well!

  • The curls look very nice! I also use Dr. Bronner to wash my hair and body. I found them on sale at Vitaminshoppe and I racked up on all scent. Except for the rose they didnt have that one.
