Here is my opinion, Eli could have chosen better songs to sing and play the piano. Due to the wrong choice of songs , majority of americans voted for Neil instead of Eli.

Mediocre wanna-be opera singer. In any real opera competition he wouldn't pass the first round. Now as a pop singer, he can pass but even here he has serious issues - he was off pitch multiple times, he didn't have the breath to finish a song and we are talking about someone with a full education in singing so he simply does not have it.

Great shame it turned out like this, I am leaning towards the rigged comments we are seeing around. Either that or America does not have ears.

He promotes himself as an opera singer. If we are to judge him as one, and one with a full education to boot, he is mediocre at best. Anyone who knows a thing about opera will tell you that. He does not cut it.

As a pop singer, you need to ask is his talent and ability above Eli, or NBS, or Donald? It isn't. He is below them. So why did he win? Either it was rigged, or the promoted sob story or sympathy votes. Shame.
