  • Ppl shiting themselves are just so retarded

  • Who is this fucking parents they don't know what will happen to their little baby I am gonna kick their ass

  • LOL the back flip was fucking intense hahaha

  • THAT SCARES ME TO DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm teaching my baby this when I have kids.

I didn't actually learn to swim until I was about 14, I'm 16 now and training for the Marines :) Never owned a pool in my life.

  • This is awesome. When you consider that this kid has even a lower fat to muscle ratio making him less bouyant than an infant it's even more important to teach this sort of thing.

Thumbs up to a smart mom!

  • At a very young age, we all know how to swim, but for some reason after a year or so after being born, we already forget and have to re-learn this skill.

  • Who would just throw their baby in the water? What kind of mom is that??

  • Hes a better swimmer than me

     -.-

  • they juss be tossing them i theeree like aint no water gone get in they throuth df

  • thats awesome

  • (under water screaming)

  • they sound like my sims when they talk to each other

  • that is a smart baby

  • aww!!!!! adorable!! but scary, what a smart baby!!

  • I remember my sister doing this to me like 16 years ago. It scared the daylights out of me then, but at least I learned how to swim shortly afterwards. :P

  • This is being implemented across the UK, and the Institute Of Swimming (IOS) are looking to make this compulsory in parent and baby classes.

I am a Leisure Manager, and run several leisure centres.

Even if the child can't float, by performing the actions knowing to be on their back they will normally emerge at the top of the water, and those few seconds could be the difference between life and death.

  • How can dey float i cant even float

  • @supperyummycandy lol i can't even lie on my back in the water. sad to know i'm a bigger chicken than babies.

  • @supperyummycandy not everyone can float ;) some of the best swimmers i know cant float

  • try a freaking life jacket

  • @RachelandRyder actually not all the time would a child have a life Jacket on, if they snuck out of the house say or wandered off at the beach and fell in the pool or the water they wouldnt know how to swim if they always used a lifeJacket with out it. this is why it is very important to teach a child at a very young age survival tequnics like this. =)

  • Muy Bien:)

  • My cousins nickname is Natalia 0.o

  • the girl is empty??\

    :)

  • gostei!! muito fofa!

  • so smart!

  • It is SO smart to acclimate children to water and ASAP!!!!

  • wow...cool...my son is 20month yo...can I teach this technique to him (he never swim before)?I'm afraid that he'll get trauma to swim again.

  • @cutesea82 Babies have a natural extinct to hold their breath, new born babies can hold their breath for 2 seconds, try it. :)

  • @KateJade15 that's for new born baby case. how bout for almost 2 years baby who never swim before...how long will he hold his breath? well I'll try it and hopefully it'll work..Thanks

  • 0:14 why the hell not catch her!!

  • only babies can do that! my 9 month old sister is too old to float so now i have to wait for my kids

  • flyingtoothpaste.........WOW thats so freaking funny!!!! I am SO with u on that! LMFAO

  • Way back, many 1k years back, human babys started swimming before walking, its a faq, :)

  • muchas felicidades! como lo lograron???

  • i loled at :10 - like wtf she doing?

  • Nice if i was a baby i would probaly cry.

  • Would a baby do this naturally or do they really need to be taught? Interesting!

  • @AlmightyGodsBeloved That is right! I agree! The mum is teaching the baby a valuable life lesson. It's something all parents who have a pool should teach their kids. Not saying they shouldn't have a fence or anything but even with a fence you never really know...

  • yo all who disagree with this is retarded don't you see adult super vision even if the baby slip it still would have been protected and that is a very good intelligent way to teach a baby how to swim i wish my parents did that to me for me to know how to swim i had to learn for my self not from any on or trainers

  • i wish i could swim that good..

  • i want to try to do that to my future baby:d

  • wow... thats amazing...

  • LOL. THAT'S SO CUTE. It's like -push- -bobs- HAHAHAHAH. xD

  • I know it's supposed to be a survival technique but that still scares me to death.

  • @cykantode shut the fuck up you fucking retard. She didn't shake the baby. And, that child knows how to survive in water incase he falls in a pool

  • Comment removed

  • @cykantode I don't know you if you're looking for respect get the fuck off the internet. I can see why you don't understand what they are doing. Children die everyday by drowning. At least this child can survive a few mins until someone comes to rescue him.

The baby isn't hurt, and doesn't even cry.

  • Comment removed

  • @cykantode Once again, if you're looking for friendly encounters get off the internet.

  • @cykantode they fliped the baby cause thats what can happen if they fall. they are teaching the baby u moron. get ur fucking facts right

  • As much as i know this is safe... In a way, it looks sick in my eyes.

  • THAT IS BAD

Just plop the kid in the water why dont u!!

  • @missabbyrocks are you stupid or something ? this skill could one day save his life, that's the whole point of it loser ...

  • its not like they are gunna let them drown. its really amazing!!

  • Hah..my name is natalia too!!!

  • nicely done! Good job kiddo. :)

  • theres a specialist watching would u rather them not know what to do and drown the first time they get in the water ur a fucking genious

  • this is a great vid! she's a lil' cutie!

  • i dont know if its true but at a serten age like bebies can breaht under water

  • u r literally a jew if u think thats right every human being needs oxygen

  • @whittingham12 i know the comment is old, but i think you might still see the answer. Babies dont actually"breathe" underwater once the umbilical cord is cut. However, there is a system in the kid's throat which diverts all the water into the stomach, for a short period of time. (A few seconds) , this is why you can see pictures and videos, of babies, with mouth wide open, under water. This only works until about 6 months, when the change in the physiology of the throat occurs.

  • @whittingham12 They can't breathe underwater, but they can stay under for awhile because their throats are set up to swallow the water instead of choke. They can breastfeed and breathe at the same time because of this too. It changes at about 6mo.

  • @whittingham12 They can't breathe underwater, but they can stay under for awhile because their throats are set up to swallow the water instead of choke. They can breastfeed and breathe at the same time because of this too. It changes at about 6mo. And it's also human instinct to hold your breath under water. :)

  • @thanhtruc51198 she's being taught to survive a fall into a pool. it's an actual skill that's taught in a formal setting.

  • it's wierd how they know to turn around on their back so they can float....when babies are face down, they'll put their face in the water & obviously can't breath...but some how they know to turn over on their back so they can float & breath

  • @imsljr420 it's taught. there are quite a few infant survival classes

  • this looks cool to people but has anyone ever heard of dry drowning? These kids don't have to be in water to drown, I'd stop throwing them into water like that if I were them.

  • @Anglynn74 they're learning a survival skill. the people that teach this class are taught the warning signs and keep a close eye on their students after the class as well

  • OK ... 1 im a parent of 2 and one on the way !! 2 this is a very good thing ! 3 ... all these comments left bye people we think this is a bad thing are probably children themselfs and have no children !!! Grow up !!!

  • it didnt look nice when she threw him in there like a rag doll

  • I don't understand why people think that these videos are a joke. They are SERIOUS and it is truly amazing if taught, what these babies can do. stop being so ignorant people. thanks for sharing your clip.

  • What exactly is this useful for?

Is it so parents don't have to watch their kids anymore to make sure they don't fall in the pool?

If the kid fell into a pool and there was nobody to rescue it, it would die anyway. This isn't going to keep the baby safe for that long.

  • @realisticHomeboy This is useful if a child falls in the pool (it only takes a second!)

It's not to replace actual vigilance, but as I said, it only takes a second.

A phase in the training is teaching the babies to "ration their air" they take it easy so they can float for longer. Most babies can float for more than 5 minutes. If you don't notice your kid gone after 5 minutes, the parent needs to be investigated but probably wouldn't have utilized this resource anyway.

  • that baby loves it, it's amazing...

  • OH MY GOODNESS SHE COULD KILL THE CHILD

  • @4atet no she couldn't.

  • seriously some people are so stupid this SAVES the babys lifes!!! das y they do it!!

  • Are you an idiot? This is a life saving lesson. A little boy drowned up at the lake near where I live. His family took a small paddle boat out with him in the back and let their eyes off of him for a second. He went in. Needless to say they both began searching frantically for their son, but the water was too murky, and they couldn't reach him in time. It only takes a few seconds. Just that. If Talbot had been given this kind of tough love, then he would still be alive today.

  • le hago eso a mi bebe me mata mi esposa!

  • shut yo dumb ass up think before ya talk 00kill00ify

  • uh thats why its called a survival technique, in case the baby falls in the pull it can survive

  • I wonder how they learnt to float...I mean, how many babies drowned or sunk repeatedly?

  • people need to learn how to spell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why is it that when these people throw children into a pool, they're "teaching them", but when I throw children into a pool, it's "attempted homicide" or "child endangerment"? That just isn't fair.

  • what the hell face planting a baby itno a pool thats just great for the baby! what the fck is wrong with her? dumass

  • They should say how much training the baby had before the video. Some dumb people are going to go throw their baby in the pool and it is not going to look like this. She shouldn't have belly flopped / face planted the kid into the pool...That sucks...No matter how old you are!

  • you people are idiots

  • shut the fuck up you fukin bich ass!!!!!!!!!!

  • its a survival instinct they lived in the uterus for 9 months! ALL BABIES CAN DO THIS SMART GUY!

  • goddamnit... it wont stay under...

  • @flyingtoothpaste

    omg lmao

  • She is just teaching him..

  • Are you ok sawmaster2???

    Can´t you read??

Read it again then you know what i wrote okayyy!!!!

    OMGGG

  • do they have that here in canada? i wana teach my kids..

  • aww he looked like he wanted to fly with his flapping arms!!! ^-^

    soo cute!

  • tht was random

  • A nice baby.

  • thats cool can you teach it to a 2 yearlod

  • omg thats a real baby not a fake!!!!!!

  • What the fuck kind of an idiot are you? Get the fuck off youtube. Get the fuck off the internet. You are a stupid dumbass. Stop spamming. Seriously, that IS a real baby. Get the hell off youtube.

  • babies dont love downing.

  • downing? Are you a baby? You look like a 5 year old. You don't know anything. They are not drowning, dip shit. They are learning to not drown. Where's your brain? Don't bother replying to this comment if it's about me being stupid, because I'm not. You're the stupid one, apparently.

  • srry but i always reply to idiots like you read the title baby drowning-SURVIVAL TECHNIQUE

  • that was gay

  • why does she even throw him if i was that baby i would be a little scared

  • Babies are naturally boyant. Were all born being able to float in water, simple as that.

  • how do you teach them that?

  • If you want to teach the baby to float, don't throw him in!

    He might be shocked.

My technique is to carry the baby, put it slowly in the water to be used to the temperature change and then let go.

  • he's been taught retard

  • thats what they probably did at the start.

But this is a survival technique, so like if it ever falls in accidently into a pond he'll know what to do before the parents reach him. To save him from drowning and tom teach him to get over shock.

  • the baby obviously already knows how to float if they're throwing it in, i dont think theyd be that stupid to throw a baby in the pool and be like "here float now"

  • he's been taught retard

  • that is not nice to say that

  • OK FOR EVERYONE THAT THINKS THIS IS FAKE, YOU'RE RETARDED!!! this was on the news..lilkelza7 you are right, they are taught to flip themselves over and hold a little of breath in to float so they dont drown...really good techniqe actually..

  • It's called a swim diaper....

  • this looks scary but it is good i guess.. the child is being supervised so if the child was in trouble the adult would rescue them. I think its good to teach babies and children to float. it would save alot of infant drowing.

  • using a baby as your experiment? poor thing!

  • does the baby ar breath??

  • When I was a baby I loved swimming. I would even stick my head under the water in the bathtub. Scared the crap out of my grandmother. :P

  • My mom took me to pools all the time as a baby, but she didn't teach me how to swim... she just had postpartum depression :[

  • lmaoo to this! are serious? or were you trying to be funny, cause if you were trying to be serious, i completely took it the wrong way. hahahah

  • lol that is scary!!

  • Oh I love watching all these ISR babies. I have been pushing my local news stations to do MORE to share ISR with our community. It's so important. If you have videos of this everyone should send them to their local news and ask that they do stories on it to let more parents know its an option. I LOVE ISR

  • but how u kno da baby goin ta turn on itz tummy...

  • you give me shivers because of your language wana2151

  • after the baby has been taught, it becomes instinct. a part of the baby swimming survival is for the baby to scream, as it floats on its back. so that if there were ever an accident, and the baby fell in unsupervised, they would float and scream. they even teach this to babies FULLY CLOTHED. its amazing.

  • Then the person that is standing RIGHT THERE will likely lift the baby out of the water and comfort the child until he is ready to go back in. This child is obviously enjoying himself- that much I assertained by his big SMILE. But this is a VITAL skill for any mobil infant who has any chance of coming into contact with water. It's better to scare them a few times, while teaching them to survive, than to not teach them at all and potentially allow them to lose their life.

  • Thank you so much for posting this, its what ive been trying to tell people. Too many ignorant people surfing the net and looking at youtube videos.

  • um the same thing could happen from drinking water from a cup. what you're going to not let your kid drink liquids either?

  • OMG! I THOUGHT IT WUZ A FHQQIN ROBOT! =]

  • haha

  • are you fron brazil bc i am

  • my mum had his done to me when i was a kid, it really dose work. saved my life when i fell out of a boat becuase i was messing around! i would have this done to my kids and every one i knows kids lol.

i think parents are brave to watch them getting the training but great that they are so encouraging!

  • aww. cute. iwill teach my baby this just incase she/he falls in the water.

  • There is no chance the baby will drown, the teacher can get the baby out ANY second. This is good teaching!

  • THATS SMART BUT IT SCARES ME LOL

  • i think that is good to teach a baby to swim. the only thing i would be afraid of is dry drowning, of course that can even happen drinking water

  • people saying there retarded there not! there teaching them to swim!

  • Buena idea, uniéndole la vigilancia de los padres, se pueden salvar vidas

  • Good idea, linking the supervision of parents, can save lives

    ^^ahah. im god at spanish

  • I see that ^^

  • lol, why did you send it in spanish?

  • Because I'm Spanish

  • ya dats a great idea but there is a chance dat baby mite really drowm dumbshit

  • Yeah well i was given this account

  • Someone gave me the account
