Philmont 09 yeah!!! its funny thy mileage they give u like like 5 off to begin with and all the side hikes for water and activities you do makes it wayy higher
this is a great video, i wish i were going. my bro & his troop, Troop 6, is going actually on the journey there tom. My mom was complaining she was so tired, so only got 30 secs. herself, while i watched the whole thing. i was so curious about this trip & here on youtube is a video about it. where 2 look up next?.... :)
hey guys i am going to philmont this year for my first time do u have any suggestions on what i should bring and what i shouldn't bring anything is greatly appreciated thanks just message me
yes and no Fi you get into the 30's trek number the treks are either very long or you go to a lot of landmarks which makes it long anyway. we alos got lost a couple of times which made it a little longer then normal.
I was a ranger 2005 and I have to say, I'm proud of you guys doubling up on the pilot to bombardier. I had only witnessed it one time, so I congratulate you for having the bravery to fly...and bomb.
Thank you for posting your trek. My unit, Troop 219, Plano, TX will be going to Philmont in 2007. Your video will help our Scouts get a preview of what's in store form them.
all so true. Hard to capture that moment in the middle of the night in the mountains when you go out to the clearing and the stars are so clear. Or when at trail's end there is one last rain storm to make a gooey mess of the path. I would like to go back.
ha that last day rain thing totally happened to me too. we didn't even cover up cause we were running down the last trail and we all ended up sleeping in wet sleeping bags that night
Which Itineray did you do?? #21 or #28??

what's with all the girly poles? what are ya, snow skiing? We easily backpacked 100+ miles and scaled Baldy without them. lame!

Well its 200% possible to go without them but sometimes they really do help.

just got back yesterday. 93 miles. AWESOME! and for that ranger every time my crew used the crapper we flew with a bomber/copilot.
