My Wireless Audio Rig: Wireless Mic & Recording Setup

Hey man loving the setup could you tell me what I would need for getting a lapel mic into a line6 backtrack it needs too be able too fit nice in a pocket so really portable.

@Luger718A1 i think they get a Ivy, but in germany the 27" basic model costs about 1400€ (about 1800$), with is "cheap" in germany, the new will iMac get MUCH more expensive (direct from apple about 2100$ (1649€), because of this i don't know if i should wait ;)

@iPodtouchreviewsDE yea they are getting ivy...which is weird cause last gen imacs got 1366 CPUs and then they went to sandybridge 1155 CPUs which are replacements for 1156....i guess since theres only 1 Sandybridge-E quadcore theyll save Sandybridge-E for Mac Pros :) i say wait.....next imacs are 99% sure to have USB 3.0 which is awesome if you wanted to add external storage etc.

How do you get the lighting darn good EVERY TIME? Is it an effect on FCP? I recently filmed a video on my channel and the lighting looks nothing compared to yours; any ideas?

@thickglasses1 What camera do you film with? I shoot with a Canon 60D + 24-70mm 2.8 lens which lets a lot of light in and that combined with a well lit room is why it comes out that way.

@tldtoday I use a Canon 600D 50mm 1.8 lens and still your video is a hell of a lot brighter than mine, and such better contrast too? Can you do like an updated setup tour, for when your doing products?

@tldtoday Hey Jonathan! I have a Canon EOS T1i and 7D. I mostly use the T1i cuz the 7D is my parents :( I did a review on the iPad 2 and its on my channel. My lighting isn't good either... Atleast not after sunset. How do I fix that, and also get rid of those lines that appear on the iPad 2 screen when filming...

That line 6 mic is 2.5Ghz.....it interferes with wi-fi. If you have your iPhone's wi-fi turned on and it gets to close to the receiver, the mic will cut in and out.

@Massonjar I had my iPhone right in my pocket with WiFi on and didn't have a problem. Only problem I ran into was on one of the CES floors they had TONS of fluorescent lighting which even caused noise on the Zoom H1.

@tldtoday Give it a try. Turn your Wi-Fi on and then place it right in front of the receiver. It blew my mind. I use 4 of those mic when i do presentations in schools. I set up an Airport Express and my miss kept on tapping in and out. I finally set my router to only put out and 5Ghz wi-fi signal and since then no interference.
