i've got a question for you! ok... you were talking about faith and it's feel through Prince Caspian... i was wondering if it'll make it harder to believe when some of the acters don't have a faith. do you think it'll be harder to believe or somewhat fake or??? will it just be acting and believable. oh, and this is probably one of your best blogs! keep it up! loving it!

Ahh....I have to agree on saying that the whole idea of the kids returning to Narnia is just...awesome. As you said, legends, and as I say, heroes. It just gives me chills thinking about it. On a side note..was that writing on your left palm? ;)

Nice video, glumPuddle. Get what you're saying about LotR: they changed it, but they still got it. I just hope they are able to do the same for Prince Caspian.

Good analysis. Those three points are indeed the heart of the book, but the heart of the series is the characters. So the fact that they appear to be messing up the characters of Susan and Caspian will annoy me, even if they get these themes right.

The global warming will annoy me becasuse it messes with the idea of the myth becoming fact. Susan is a figure out of myth and legend, and you would not look at a mythical figure as a potential love interest. It takes away from Caspian's awe of Susan and the other Pevensies.

This could very easily detract from that idea. That's why I'm so worried about it. That's not just a little detail, because it's an essential theme they're messing up.

LOL Global warming. They better not mess with Susan and Caspian. Yeesh. Great blog, dude! You hit the nail right on the head with this one. Those three elements are going to determine if PC will be a great film. I mean, sure they can put more action in there, but the action is meaningless without the driving emotional force, ne? ;)

Another fantastic analysis Glum. I have to admit, I have yet to read the entire series. I know, shame on me. I did read PC though, and I couldn't help wondering if it is an biblical allegory of our prophetical future of the beginning of the tribulation; when the real believers were forced into hiding for a period of time. I could be way off. I can't really say for sure because I didn't read the rest of the series. I am reading in publication order, so I'll be reading VOTDT next. Your thoughts?

In April 2007, in an exclusive interview with NarniaWeb, Douglas Gresham was asked about a possible Caspian/Susan romance in the movie. His reply was "I would worry far more about global warming."

Exactly what he meant by that has been debated ever since. So when I say "global warming," I am referring to the possible Caspian/Susan romance.

Totally irrelevent. But he cross dresses as part of his routines, just as many British comedians do, and he's pretty funny.
