  • I have the iphone 16 3GS. My battery lasts for two days. I only turn on wifi, 3G, and location services when I need them, I have the brightness down. I top off the battery every morning and when I get home from work I have still have from 80 to 90 % battery left. I still wish that you change the battery like other phones though.

  • i didn't drain all the battery when i first got it.. but instead i playing with it while recharging at the mac. does it affect the lifetime battery?

  • thanks for your reply. i bought an ipod touch in the end and just kept my old mobile phone. i have a freind with an iphone and he has to charge it every chance he gets (work, school, home). no point if you ask me, i want an all purpose device, not a child i have to take care of (metaphoricly).

  • every one who talks about the iphone 3g's battery life only mentions wifi and talking usage. But what about if you listen to a lot of music and want to watch some videos during the day as well? i need at least 4-5 hours of music (and maybe some video usage) ON TOP of some moderate calling and internet usage. from looking at all the reviews, i dont think the battery will last even half a day with me. does anyone have some insight?

  • It won't last a half day with that heavy usage. Trust me, the battery life is something to consider. Thankfully I got a car and a car charger.

  • When you get your iPhone your soppost to drain it completely! COMPLETELY until it shuts off. The fully charge without using it. It should be fine after than. My iPhone 3Gs battery is amazing. I love it.

  • I hope to god your right, I'm going to buy an iphone and I want it to live up to what that twat Steve just said about battery life. lol

  • haha well I don't have a problem with it but you should be fine if you followed what I said.

  • he's lying. 2 1/2 hours max

  • There is no way there is 300 hours of standby battery life on the new iPhone. The battery life is awful compared to my previous phones.
