Great playing, picking sounds clean and powerful, lots of cool stuff done pretty accurate, but what i've liked the most was that the playing is not the 100% accurate so it gives the tune tones of individuality, cool technique (speed and all that) and nice sound, well done. Vai Rules!

MattRach is a awesome skilled guitar player, but I have to say that Steve Vai is not a cover for him, therer are several other guitar players who covered this more well.
@ipwnuall2 haha no but the thing is, he only plays the 7th string like for 2 or 3 notes. but you can watch steve play it live to see how he does it with six string. he plays the 7th string at the part right before he does that palm muted lydian run up to the main theme, an octave up. (i just play the 7th string notes an octave up)

@ipwnuall2 haha no but the thing is, he only plays the 7th string like for 2 or 3 notes. but you can watch steve play it live to see how he does it with six string. he plays the 7th string at the part right before he does that palm muted lydian run up to the main theme, an octave up. (i just play the 7th string notes an octave up)

@MetalRockMusicRecord Erm, sorry to burst your bubble, but I wasn't jealous, I was just mad that on the tux guitar file I downloaded it was a 7 string... :/ I know I probably won't be as good as him, he takes pride in playing guitar, he WILL become a guitar god someday...

Sooooo everybody that bags him for having no emotion. Stop. Look at his concentration. He worked very hard for this song and you can tell. To be quite honest, I like his version better than any others I've heard on youtube and they are all from very "emotional" guitarists. I'd say everyone who posts a bad rap is just jealous that he outdid your favorite artists and I'll leave it at that.
