Cant wait to see then again in Auckland in November ,...not sure it will beat Cardiff last year that was a very special night ...still sends shivers up the spine just listening to this again..!!!!!!!!!!
I was there, a never to be forgotten night without a doubt they raise the bar everytime they tour and there is no band that can compete with U2 live....a truly magic night......hope they come to NZ soon....!!!!!!!
When we all carried on singing "How long to sing this song"...that was one of the best moments of the night :) When it started I think everyone there just fell to the floor because everyone want to hear Bad! haha. Such a great night.
Yeah when you're in a half decent band you may end up playing in a venue that requires toilet facilites and access for people who want to attend. Don't think you'll have to worry about that though
Was so glad they played this on Saturday in Chicago. Best song ever. Note to those of you who are going to see them in days/weeks to come. Don't worry so much about recording the concert. Enjoy it at its fullest and then buy the DVD when it comes out. Wish I would have done that. I was so worried about getting this on film that I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have.
Yeah they played moment of surrender and his voice was fine and was fine all gig. There's another vid on here that shows Bono close up during this song and it's clear he was overcome. He dedicated a song to a dying friend earlier and it was the most electric U2 gig ive been too. Never ever seen Bono like that. You knew it was a special one cos he clearly plays the Gretsch twice on this song which he never usually does
What an incredible venue to see U2. It was a fantastic night ! Fourth time that I have seen them and by far the best. Brilliant remix of crazy. Will someone with the power get it on itunes !!!!!
I was there and it was a great gig - the best U2 outdoor concert - Cardiff is a great place too and i am Scottish! Still bring the shivers to me when listening to this song.
I would love to hear a full version of 40,, seems likes years,, years since i heard that simple effective reprise call out,, as a crowd leaves the stadium.....use to always end the shows with 40..and it was just capitavting.
I really like Moment Of Surrender,, but it does not connect with a crowd,, the same way40 does,,,, what was the sound like In Caediff btw,, in Dublin it was spot on,, during Vertigo in Dublin i twas really brutal,,, and in Hampden it keeled over during Walk On,,, and it was such a moment for something to go tits up,,,great show though,,atmosphere was, just..complete, totally complete
I am gutted iwas not there,,seemed like Cardiff wasa super show,, They did not do this at Hampden,, i love this song and in Dublin,, when they belted this out it had me transfixed after all these years,,i was a bit misty eyed i tell you,, i was,,Still though,, what an experience.
thank u so much for sharing this,I was there on the night with my daughter, her first U2 gig,she s converted, lol.saw them in 87, still totally AWESOME.Magnificent!!!!
I was sitting in the middle tier just above the stage, And i looked around at the crowd at the end of the song when the "40" chant started, The hair's on the back of my neck, The goosebumps on my arms and the whole atmosphere of the whole thing took my breath away, Never seen anything or heard anything like it. I got a tear in my eye watching it back.
I sobbed last night when they played this..It gets me every time!!! Just so so beautiful and the end was just so so gorgeous and brought back so many wonderful memories of U2 gigs in years gone by!! Thank you....
This was amazing. The atmosphere was so good. This song gave me goosebumps. Didn't think they'd play it but they did. The ending was special, with thousands of people singing the last words
Amazing night! When they played this my eyes started leaking :)

Did they play moment of surrender at this show? If not, I wonder if it's because Bono was having trouble with his voice..

U2 was awesum in cardiff. bad was such a good song to play at the end. I was hoping they would play Bad as they never played it on the vertigo tour.
Im sure i can hear someone sing the BAD version from live aid at the start of the recording (0:36min). bombbomb bomb bomb satelight of love.........

Wow, better than ever. Bono's guitar REALLY adds character to this song.
All it needs...to be perfection...is sympathy for the devil and ruby tuesday snippets...and the added verses of London 2.
