  • Great video.

  • At 5:10 what the hell is that???? A Shastotty or a Scasta???

  • It's a mutt... LOL...

  • I actually just found out that Serro Scotty made a few of their trailers with wings similar to the Shasta wings. I heard that Shasta was bent out of shape about it and it seems that Serro Scotty stopped making them.

  • nice sound track!

  • Nice dog , mobiltec.

  • "Nice dog"

She's my baby for sure. Tabby loves camping.

  • I gave it five, thanks for sharing all this old trailer stuff.

  • "thanks for sharing all this old trailer stuff"

My pleasure I'm sure... Glad you liked it.

  • excellent stuff....out of curiosity.. what town is that galvanized tub in ? looks like barstow kinda...

  • "what town is that galvanized tub in ?"

Not Barstow but it's in the Elsinore area... Riverside County...

  • Nice video, I really liked that teardrop. I love breakfast outside I don't know why it taste better that way. Did you get to miss the one hundred and fourteen degree weather we had here? It was lovely "NOT"

    Sis.

  • "Did you get to miss the one hundred and fourteen degree weather we had here?"

As a matter of fact I didn't miss it at all... :)

  • "Is this table mountain about 8000 feet and in Butte County. Is it near Big Pines?"

No this is in Southern California. Funny thing is though, the intersection that I turn right on to make my way up from the highway is called Big Pines. LOL! Coincidences are funny.

  • "I would have been nice to get some rain"

I kinda thought we might on Saturday afternoon. It was getting cloudy and looked like maybe an afternoon thunderstorm would happen but it didn't. The clouds did cool things down however and I could smell rain so we may have gotten a little virga action up there. All in all it was very pleasant.

  • "Is this place far from Paris CA.?"

It's only about 60 miles I would say. Very close to here. It is right by Mountain High Ski Resort so you can look it up. Table Mountain is next to that.

Here are the coordinates. Just cut and paste these into any map service or Google Earth.

    34 23 15.21N 117 41 22.64W

That will show you the general area of the campground.

  • Too cool! A lot of neat old trailors. I would have been nice to get some rain, though. And you know, nothing about this video makes me feel the slightest bit violent -- that's a first!

  • "that's a first!"

Nice! Glad I didn't show the trip up on the hot crowded freeway. :)

  • "Nice! Glad I didn't show the trip up on the hot crowded freeway. :)"

Oh man, sitting in traffic in the heat would make me scream and throw off all of my cloths in a hurry.

  • ok the frying bacon at the end just made me go look for some. i love bacon :D

  • LOL made ya hungry didn't it? Too bad there is no smellevision...

  • i see there were a few vintage vehicle pulling those vintage trailers.

the one with the hatch over the kitchen was pretty cool and a great idea as long as the weather is nice ;)

  • Very nice indeed. And it was a lot cooler up there than down in the basin.

  • Looks like it was great fun. I'm fascinated by that one really small canned ham with the whole back end that opened up into an outdoor kitchen, eliminating the need for all that wasted inside space. The rest of it looked barely big enough to hold a bed.

  • "the whole back end that opened up into an outdoor kitchen"

Those are called "Tear Drops". All those real little ones have the rear galley that opens up. A lot of them just weren't open. Canned Hams are like mine and called "Stand-Ups". Because you can stand up in them.
