  • Rock on Prince of Darkness!

  • Damn.

  • @edslides1 wtf? Dude you must be musically retarded. Tell Weezy or Drake or blink 182 or somebody who is an actuall joke to suck on this. Judas Priest and Black Sabbath are equally great bands both in their own ways. I saw Judas priest with Sabbath(dio on vocals) and it was the best concert of my life next to maiden. Halford is awesome. Black Sabbath is awesome.

  • @QuietusEpicus lol dont compare priest to sabbath...and if you saw sabbath with dio....u did not see sabbath....kids today...they are all too young!

  • Killer tune Sabbath is the fucking BOMB!!Long live Sabbath

  • Killer tune Sabbath is the fucking BOMB!!Long live Sabbath

  • Killer tune Sabbath is the fucking BOMB!!Long live Sabbath

  • Songs of freedom! Sabbath did what they wanted and man it was great! Love em as much as i did way back!

  • This Riff still holds up today !

  • I keep expecting the 8-track to switch tracks in the middle of this song.

  • @cypresscoach ha! No shit huh? I remember seeing the last of 8 tracks when i started listing to music 79, 80, I bought a few things i remember sabotage,'''night in the ruts'' on 8 track..I couldnt get the records for them, and because my new stereo had a 8 track player so it could fade out in the middle of a song and then click to fade the track back in,.Never failed during the best part of Lennard skynards free bird guitar solo..

  • @cypresscoach thats where the song was placed on the 8 track?

  • i hadn't heard this in at least 30 yrs til i found it on here - this is one of the best they ever recorded. this is a great rock and roll song, i had completely forgotten it. listen to that cool march of the zombies at the end!

  • i hadn't heard this in at least 30 yrs til i found it on here - this is one of the best they ever recorded. this is a great rock and roll song, i had completely forgotten it.

  • How fukkin incredibly heavy is this?

You modern deathcore, black metal bands need to learn

  • Does Ozzy say " cast my soul out" or "get my soul out" at :51?

  • @noblecause cast my soul out

  • 5:35 the first breakdown in metal history! and i think one of the best !

  • @Balkyrthebeastofhell Actually that honor goes to the slow riff in After Forever.

  • Vol 4 arguably the best album of the lot.

  • @lcsmwiley vol 4 is where it's at

  • @Cincinnatus1869 I'm in two minds how to respond to that, so I'll say both. "No shit" is one and "heck yeah" is the other.

  • @lcsmwiley i do believe my comment was directed to the other gentleman .My bad ~~it is a killer record though for sure

  • I call this music, rock n roll.but some parts of there songs are metal and the later ones a little jazzy.bill ward and geezer are one of my favorite rhythm sections.

  • Black sabbath, rush, motörhead, pink Floyd, led Zeppelin my favorite bands of all time

  • I wish someone could help me out, Sabbath are my favourite band of all time, but I just want to know what genre they are - i dont like calling it metal because i think metal is more of the screaming stuff which i hate - and calling them Hard Rock doesn't seem right, please comment?

  • @Fretmaster1994 you could call them blues that is what they were going for

  • @Fretmaster1994 Like it or not, metal is metal. It was never always full of screamers and grunters, and I hate screamo grunty shite, but screamo grunty or not, it's still metal. Although obviously not every track by Black Sabbath is 'metal' (definitely not on more than one occasion where Vol 4 is concerned)!

  • @Fretmaster1994

It is Hard Rock there was no metal in those days.

  • @Fretmaster1994

It is classic 70's Hard Rock there was no metal in those days .

  • @inkjamtattoo

    No. This is heavy metal.

Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, KISS, AC/DC, Van Halen, etc. That's heavy metal in the 70's.

I really hate the term 'hard rock' and it pisses me off when people try to sit there and downgrade music with terminology like that.

  • @demon91 People that never lived through the 70's seem to forget that Heavy Metal was used a lot to describe 70's bands. Led Zeppelin in particular were often labeled as a Heavy Metal band. Its part of the reason why Zep were so anti-media because of these labels.

  • It's songs like this that keep me sane. Ozzy's life long message of overcoming oppression has always empowered me.

  • they are still the best after all these years...

  • Fuck Jesus !

  • Don't beg for forgiveness, once you're in hell!

    Sincerely

    Jesus

  • this music says the truth

  • Sabbath's finest moment. I love this track so much.

  • How can ANYONE not like this?! Seriously??

  • 3 less people we need in the world. the dislikers XP

  • Thumbs upp for the drums!

  • These are my guys i lovee this song, all of em r good

  • Tony Iommi is god. others are just mere peasants.

  • some songs of sabbath makse me cry, dunno why

  • The opening riff is the most morbid thing ever. Doom, then blues, then bliss - the Sabbath potion at its very best!!!

  • doom metal....very nice..¡¡¡¡¡

  • 3 54 just legendary this is the kind of shit that will blowaway every speaker just whit power

  • Genuine fans will ALWAYS support their musical heroes, doesn't matter if they get old and don't sound like they use to. Ozzy can sing like a zombie in his grave and I'll still love him!

  • sounds like flight of the rat from deep purple

  • epic

  • Comment removed

  • Ozzy was good in his day! But now he's washed up. Give up the touring and new records ozzy.

  • let us find a cure for the 3 out of 250 people who apperently are deeply related to a little girl by the name of hellen keller who will never truely "understand sound"..

AND IF YA AINT DEAF GRAB A COTTON SWAB AND DIG DEEP!

  • Ive tried so hard to find one favorite Sabbath album. Now, I stopped trying, first 6 are now all equally awesome imo.

  • This song is so heavy i shit my pants

  • best lyrics ever!

  • "Yes, Vol. 4 is a great album but listening to it now, I can see it as a turning point for me, where the alcohol and drugs stopped being fun."

    - Bill Ward

  • Sabbath are the Dogs Bollocks every time

  • @Snatchpeeper01 what?

  • grandiosamente heavy e oscuro

  • 3:47

  • The lyrics to this song are just so true.. Its what I want to live my life by.

  • The Robot Devil is a winner someone reply!

  • @CYMRUTUBE2 HOW CAN YOU HATE CHANGES

  • @HalfBreedWarrior5696 because he probably just likes the heavy stuff

  • c'm,on folks this ws the shazbot

  • my favorite band...

  • Their best song.

  • probably the greatest band of all time

  • sorry man, but this posted song sounds tinny and bad

  • theres no better riff then this!!!

  • quite possibly my favorite sabbath song...and i love the all!!!

  • I do agree this is one heavy thumper of a tune, but for me, of all their songs I have to say that "Megalomania" off "Sabatoge" is. I find Sabotage to be thee single most underrated, unappreciated album made by any band thus far, hell even the damn band dislike it but I just absolutely friggin' love it. I love that it came out one month before I was born, it pummels along like amniotic rupture twisting turning weaving along the rails that is life. GOD invented the bass for songs solely like this.

  • I would love to be able to find a good sounding live version of this. It's rare. Maybe rarest of rare in their catalog I'm not sure. The '72 Daytona, I'm yet to hear one with sound quality that really allows the speakers to fully envelop you in.

  • @Jacopious hear is a good sounding one from 1972 /watch?v=qEuGsPhi-ls There is also a version from 2001 on this site.

  • @ozzy554

    thanks!!!

  • great fucking song

  • Black Sabbath is the greatest, most seminal band to ever grind out anything even close to heavy metal. Think that now that poor Dio has passed there will be another full on original line up reunion

  • You foo...You cut off the ending...damn you!

  • A great song shit I haven't heard this in awhile..............

  • @sfusyron Same here, some great lyrics 2:05 Brings alot of memories back

  • @kriskronos1111 im only 13. i know in 30 years im gonna think back to this moment and its gonna go so fast

  • @axedude98 i was your age when i 1st started to listen to sabbath. years later it's still fresh & engaging. I remember buying the paranoid single on .45 wax. I was pretty sure i would go to hell just by listening to it

  • @MickM621 yea man i hate rap and all that shit.. everyone is a follower these days and doesnt have good taste in music. i bet im the only one in my scool that ever heard this song haha. but yea black sabbath is awsome

  • @axedude98 honestly there is some very good rap. don't limit yourself. black sabbath is superior to most everything else though IMHO. Inspired me to learn bass & guitar. do u play?

  • @MickM621 ehh i dont like rap. but yea ive been playing guitar for almost 6 years now

  • @CYMRUTUBE2 your mother is shit...changes is beautiful

  • My Favorite SABBATH lp..was also the 1st time I saw them!

  • All Black Sabbath´s songs are out of this world and I mean all!

  • September 1972

  • If the entire song was just that one riff I'd still love it to death. Best song on volume 4 for me

  • @EddieVH666 agreed

  • but what if my PC and ipod is all i got???? do i stop listening and enjoying the song because of you guys telling me i should use real speakers and what not? ...........fuck it you guys can sucka fckin penis im listening to this song no matter what, the bass rumbles my soul and the vocals motivate my spirit and the guitars give me sweats and get my heart pumpin the song can be as loud as it can be without the fuckin volume. i could listen to this shit on mono for fuck sakes.

  • @CYMRUTUBE2

you have to understand what tony and ozzy were going through

  • I remember my buddys dad had the 8-track of this album about 20 years ago we found smoking weed in the garage.

  • Changes isn't a bad song, it's just not a heavy metal song. It's a... uh... slow, quiet, touching piano song [dry heaves]

  • i blast this song in the ghettos of where i live in my 1963 impala

  • LOUD!!!

  • Changes does rock hes to "cool" and a "hardass" to admit that a soft song like that could be amazing

which it is by the way

  • C'mon Changes rocks!

  • I Have The Original LP. Also, F*#! It Kicks Ass Just Live Your Life And Leave Them All Behind! Class Act..

  • I Have The Original LP. Also! F*#! It Kicks Ass !

  • fuck dio ozzy did it RIGHT

  • Thank God for YOUTUBE else I would have never heard this incredible song!

  • Vol.4 is the heaviest album ever made.

This is the heaviest song on the album..

Therefore this is the heaviest song ever made.

The whole song is incredible, but the opening and ending defy description.

Crank this up on a good sound system in a good room with real speakers.

Not on a PC or iPod.

Then just sit back and you will understand..

  • @davinci5152 and thats what i do. I have the original LP.

  • @ozzy554 me too.

  • @ozzy554 Have you got the vertigo label album LP

  • @davinci5152 I couldn't agree more. Im 54 yrs old, cant even remember where I was when I first heard this album. After all these years it still kicks my ass, and Under tha sun kicks it tha hardest!

  • @davinci5152 dude i agree,otherfav. sabotage

  • @davinci5152

Electric Funeral is the heaviest song ever, relative to the year produced.

  • @davinci5152 no Master of Reality is way heavier

  • @jesuswasakike00 heavier maybee...

    ...Darker...

    ....No

  • @davinci5152

    heaviest album ever made?

you must not listen to any electric wizard....

  • Excellent, just the same way it sounded on my 8-trac way back smokin reefer,& drinkin Schlitz Malt Liquer, thanks for keepin this great stuff alive,it'll never die...

  • Fucking Hell !!!

  • The music's just.....so fuckin good.

  • their music was...and is still influential.the truth is without sabbath music would be very different today.i hear they prefer to call their music heavy rock...and it is.but no one else denies that they invented that heavy(metal) sound...along with several other bands that I Will not NAME CHECK.

  • Perfect example of how Black Sabbath is DOOM INCARNATE. Even when they play fast, it still sounds like you should be outside sacrificing a goat. God I love that verse riff.

  • Sabbath is the best fucking band in the world, better than the beatles(i love the beatls) and i dont give a bitchfuck what you think, sabbath the the living legends and masters of metal. Sabbath forever till the end of time.

  • Just believe in yourself, you know you really shouldn't have to pretend

Don't let those empty people try and interfere with your mind

Just live your life and leave them all behind

  • grwe up on there first cd but was a massive fan of vol 4 and master.

  • The first death metal chord progression.@JBlacklamb you idiot Black Sabbath wasn't in league with the devil, just listen to the lyric's especially on master of reality;lord of this world is about the devil inheriting earth and hell after the second coming of Christ ,it's almost a gospel song.I've always felt Black Sabbath was put here to scare us into reality so we would find God and change our way's.

  • Is there anything more scary, more doom than those opening chords...I mean, especially considering it from back in the day? This is a beautiful masterpiece of an album....the tones, the aura and the tightness of the band.I love Volume 4 man...I really do.Sabbath at full power.

  • Baker 3

  • The lyrics is so awesome.

  • god damn Im only 15 and love all the old music. That shit was and still IS the best- sabbath led zeppelin the beatles iron maiden, all those bands. Now we have this stupid ass silly music with lady gaga and justin fagface. i swear I was born in the wrong generation hahaha.

  • @thecheebaman420 you have taken the first step into a LARGER world my friend.,but understand i feel i should have been born in an earlier gen also, would have traded the entire decade of the 80s for woodstock! (except Maiden) btw i am almost 50!!!

  • @thecheebaman420 I was born in 1960 ,at age 10 was when black sabbath's first album came out ,at age 15 i was checking out the album that came out in 1975 called Sabotage, you still can get the list of the albums with ozzy on the vocals with the band ;it stopped with ,Never say die in 1978,when i turned 18,but i still listen to all of the album's and I'm 50 now,but I;m younger when i put Sabbath on,it's life changing.Ron Trip on bass.

  • I like the frankenstein setting at the very beginning of this piece.

  • Have you ever thought about your soul - can it be saved?

Or perhaps you think that when you're dead you just stay in your grave

Is God just a thought within your head or is he a part of you?

Is Christ just a name that you read in a book when you were in school?

It was part of the act. It's about selling records. Lyrics were meant to be open to interpretation. That way more people would buy it. Cool music. Had the album when it came out. But don't have the illusion they care about you.

  • One of the heaviest Sabbath albums of all time...Loving it

  • Used to play this song in a band when it was fuckin' new!!!! One of my favorite Sabbath albums.
