@edslides1 wtf? Dude you must be musically retarded. Tell Weezy or Drake or blink 182 or somebody who is an actuall joke to suck on this. Judas Priest and Black Sabbath are equally great bands both in their own ways. I saw Judas priest with Sabbath(dio on vocals) and it was the best concert of my life next to maiden. Halford is awesome. Black Sabbath is awesome.
@cholulasaucehot1 I saw Sabbath with both singers Ozzy and DIO. Ozzy fucked up at ozzfest and they had to play medlys for the longer songs because ozzy cant remember all of the lyrics. I saw BS w/ dio and he pulled off every song perfect. My age matters not because I own every cd sabbath put out including the non Ozzy ones, and I love all Sabbath. I could say "You adults today are too fucking close minded and set in your ways to see Sabbath had great albums after ozzy too".
@cypresscoach ha! No shit huh? I remember seeing the last of 8 tracks when i started listing to music 79, 80, I bought a few things i remember sabotage,'''night in the ruts'' on 8 track..I couldnt get the records for them, and because my new stereo had a 8 track player so it could fade out in the middle of a song and then click to fade the track back in,.Never failed during the best part of Lennard skynards free bird guitar solo..

Sabbath is the best fucking band in the world, better than the beatles(i love the beatls) and i dont give a bitchfuck what you think, sabbath the the living legends and masters of metal. Sabbath forever till the end of time.
The first death metal chord progression.@JBlacklamb you idiot Black Sabbath wasn't in league with the devil, just listen to the lyric's especially on master of reality;lord of this world is about the devil inheriting earth and hell after the second coming of Christ ,it's almost a gospel song.I've always felt Black Sabbath was put here to scare us into reality so we would find God and change our way's.
Is there anything more scary, more doom than those opening chords...I mean, especially considering it from back in the day? This is a beautiful masterpiece of an album....the tones, the aura and the tightness of the band.I love Volume 4 man...I really do.Sabbath at full power.
god damn Im only 15 and love all the old music. That shit was and still IS the best- sabbath led zeppelin the beatles iron maiden, all those bands. Now we have this stupid ass silly music with lady gaga and justin fagface. i swear I was born in the wrong generation hahaha.
@thecheebaman420 you have taken the first step into a LARGER world my friend.,but understand i feel i should have been born in an earlier gen also, would have traded the entire decade of the 80s for woodstock! (except Maiden) btw i am almost 50!!!
@thecheebaman420 you have taken the first step into a LARGER world my friend.,but understand i feel i should have been born in an earlier gen also, would have traded the entire decade of the 80s for woodstock! (except Maiden)
@thecheebaman420 I was born in 1960 ,at age 10 was when black sabbath's first album came out ,at age 15 i was checking out the album that came out in 1975 called Sabotage, you still can get the list of the albums with ozzy on the vocals with the band ;it stopped with ,Never say die in 1978,when i turned 18,but i still listen to all of the album's and I'm 50 now,but I;m younger when i put Sabbath on,it's life changing.Ron Trip on bass.
Have you ever thought about your soul - can it be saved?
Or perhaps you think that when you're dead you just stay in your grave
Is God just a thought within your head or is he a part of you?
Is Christ just a name that you read in a book when you were in school?
It was part of the act. It's about selling records. Lyrics were meant to be open to interpretation. That way more people would buy it. Cool music. Had the album when it came out. But don't have the illusion they care about you.

No. This is heavy metal.
Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, KISS, AC/DC, Van Halen, etc. That's heavy metal in the 70's.
I really hate the term 'hard rock' and it pisses me off when people try to sit there and downgrade music with terminology like that.

I like the frankenstein setting at the very beginning of this piece.
