I too loved the Lexus part...but criticising Merc and BMW? They are 3 very good brands that have different characters and strengths and hence appeal to different people.

It was quite an exaggeration for Audi to mock Mercedes for unreliability in the ad, too (or at least that's how I interpreted it...not sure).

The thing is, Audi, Lexus and even BMW frequently seem to do ads like this (mocking other brands). Mercedes doesn't...I guess they don't feel threatened and have nothing to prove ;)

Ferdinad Porsche created and designed the VW Beetle at the request of none other than Adolf Hitler and as a result Porsche to this day owns a 51% share in VW. VW by the way is actually VW Automotive Group and owns; Audi, Bentley, Buggati, and Lamborghini. Mercedes Benz is it's own fing company and so is BMW
