  • L-Glutamine is good for you.

  • I love Muscle Milk. Leaves an amazing taste in your mouth all day.

  • excess in moderation is key

  • MSG is sodium salt of glutamic acid, an amino acid. Your body even produces it. Just another paranoid health nut that's still terrorized by past cases where a few people had some allergic reactions to MSG. I guess peanut butter should be avoided too. OMG!!!!

  • @Backstabbinbasterd ;lolololololol haha

  • Like people eat raman noodles and dont no they put nitrates in there that causes cancer >_<

  • So, long story short, eat organic, unprocessed fruits, veritable, and meats.

  • @alaturno How do you eat a veritable?

  • @spammyrock Wiff yo mouff

  • Really? One product on the face of the earth? Not guns or predator drones? Or McDonalds?

  • this guy is a fucking retard.

  • @rebelrebel10 No, he's not retarded. Just a hypochondriac.

  • @Backstabbinbasterd No, he has incorrect information that he's trying to spread as truth. So that makes him a retard.

  • @rebelrebel10 Ok, so he's a retarded hypochondriac.

  • @Backstabbinbasterd Haha, yes. I am paranoid, too, when it comes to health-related issues in consumer products. But I happen to know for a FACT that what he is saying is BS.

  • @rebelrebel10 agreed

  • I do like the "Feeding Death to Americans" phrase.

  • They put MSG in muscle milk?

  • wat bout monster milk?

  • @jiminirvana Man that One World Whey is like $150 for one container. It's great but who can afford that stuff?

  • Yet it's better than Mcdonalds or whatever else the fat fucks of america are eating

  • best protein is One world whey or myotien

  • @jiminirvana

whey is whey they cant justify the value per gram .

  • FDA: Feeding Death to Americans, genius!

  • ok..? Muscle milk gets studied every year and if it contain some sort toxin as u said the FDA wouldnt approve it to marketing!!!

  • @kkdb22 You'd be surprised how much crap the FDA approves. Look into it.

  • At least wear your goddamn hat straight. You look like a aids patient

  • @MrSamson0071 and you sir sound like someone very serious and proper, hope ur happy that way.

  • My brother has been using musle milk for 3 years now and he's in great health so..

How long before this stuff fucks you over?

To much of anything is bad. I drink it and feel great after, but let's say you haven't eaten for awhile; and you eat some mcdonalds I'm sure you would feel great after that too =\

Ah well *downs a bottle of Muscle milk*

  • Optimum?? Most of my shakes are made out of this

  • I used to drink monster, now i drink muscle milk in the morning.

My cousin told me it was a better option. So it's not?

  • Ex employee that's pissed off!!!!! Lol

  • Youre just wrong /fail

  • @EscapeDummy i barely graduated high school and i don't give a shit about grammar because I don't troll on peoples fucking grammar

  • @rebelknighttk dont know you but love what you said!!!

  • @rebelknighttk quit being a little faggot and let me stick my dick up your ass

  • same with myoplex, or most of the crap from the bigger brand names. NOW and jarrow ftw.

  • I was with you until I did my own research. Cassein breaks down to glutamic acid which is an amino acid--a building block of protein that is often used by muscle which is why it is used in body building products. Glutamate is the excitatory neurotransmitter that you mentioned in the vid. Glutamic acid and glutamate are not the same! So cassein and msg are not the same either. I appreciate your passion in trying to help people...and Im not saying Muscle Milk isnt crap but it does not contain MSG

  • Ok so now thatve ive found this out what should i use for my milkshakes

  • Hey Sean, I could have swore I heard Dr. Blaylock in a TV show about about excitotoxins say that both soy and WHEY "protein isolate" are also excitotoxins.

So, is whey bad? Where can I find the answer?

  • Is this the same for most protein powders, such as ON and Gaspari?

  • I think we just need to simplify if you can't grow it out of the ground, or better yet of you can't pronounce the ingredients maybe you shouldn't put it in your body. But it's not about being right or wrong, it's just about health if you wanna put it in your body, go ahead but I'd feel alot better knowing that all that's in my body is water an natural ingredients without genetic tampering or some shit some guy in a lab coat cooked up with cheap ingredients to sell for a profit 3 times what it c

  • @PualCheckLive ive been using muscle milk fr over 5 years and im in the us army and its done nothin but build my work outs to last longer and ive been getting stronger and faster and i as far as i know im not loosing any brain cells if you wanna talk about something that kills brain cells talk about illegal drugs and the protien powders youve talked about make me sick to my stomach muscle milk and met rx are the only ones that dont

  • @rebelknighttk looks like it hasn't been building your brain. that's one long ass run on sentence bro, learn grammar please

  • I just watched this while drinking a glass of Muscle Milk

  • @Racemark123 lol are u still going to drink it

  • @123faaz Yeah, because now they took out MSG from Muscle Milk this video is a little out of date

  • @Racemark123 U TAKE ANY OTHER SUPPLEMENTS

  • @Racemark123 me 2! lol

  • ok this video is irrelevant now a days please delete this... they got rid of the glycomine or whatever it is.... its safe to use

  • You seem like you know what's going on here.... so what do you SUGGEST I eat? Because right now I'm scared to eat anything.

  • i just got it for no reason and it tastes nasty :x

  • man my uncle just gave me a big tub of Muscle Milk =/, what should I do with it?

  • @netojr90 videos irrelevant they fixed these problems

  • read the label dude - no MSG in Muscle Milk Light...

  • My parents have never let me eat anything containing monosodium glutamate. I should tell then "thanx" ;D

  • What about EAS whey protien? Is it good or bad?

  • The new 2010-2011 formula contains sodium and calcium caseinate which are rid of the glutamates although sucralose is still present so it's okay to drink it once or twice a day but that's it,

A good choice would be, drink muscle milk in the morning after workout and and drink muscle milk at night, in the after noon just drink 100% gold standard whey.

  • very informative thanks.

  • Thanks for the info man.

  • Love ur videos and keep it up no matter what anyone says ... By the way thank you for this

  • Just eat meat forget these supplements.

  • you worry about things that you can not control to much.... mind over matter my friend

  • Someone please get this guy off the internet. He has no idea of what he is talking about.

  • A non-essential amino acid just means that your body can make it (from an essential amino acid, from which your body cannot make) and does not need it from an exogenous source

  • omg u always talk about what is bad.......then whats good please tell us..

  • Im alergic to msg but not all muscle milk contains high msg. Its all aabout portion control and how you balence it with your diet

  • msg? i only eat home cooked meals. i only have one bottle. i'll just finished it off and stick to whey protein. thanks for scaring the crap out of me

  • Been drinking this for a good while, think im going to stop now! What was muscle milk suppose to do for you anyway?

  • good thing i watched this before i started on the 4 pack that i bought.

  • I came upon this through a search on Muscle Milk and panic attacks. I have been taking Muscle Milk for years, and within the last 8 months or so, I have been having panic attacks. Previous to this, I never had one, and it has been life altering. I have tried everything, but they still randomly happen to me. I have been keeping track of days that they happen, and have changed/modified many things, to see if it will help. Thinking back, MM is a constant on days that I have them. Going to stop

  • paulcheklive didn't mention this, but Whey protein, whey protein concentrate and Whey protein isolate contains MSG ! ! So he didn't tell the whole story - makes me wonder that he was paid to endorse products. Do your own research on MSG/different ingredients that contain MSG.

  • i drink muscle milk cause chuk norris drinks muscle milk >.<

  • its amusing to note WHY those ingredients exist. its a completely reconstructed food product, made created and market on the premise of being a protein builder. oddly enough, ounce for ounce, milk has only 3 pounds of protein less than a premade shake, yet the oil, gelling agents, msg, sugar, and other flavoring agents are create the semblance, or at least are trying to, of milk. its ha ha funny

  • wow dude, watch out. read up on how oprah got slammed by the beef industry ;)

  • @PaulChekLive I just bought some Jarrow's protein powder, it has alot of "Glutamine + Glutamic Acid"...Alot of it. 3.2 grams per 23g scoop. It calls it a "Non-essential amino acid". Is this bad?

  • dam man you and muscle milk should fight lol

  • @janglots LOLOLOLLOLLLLLL fuk yeah at them mgm

  • Why use supplements anyways? I've been lifting for 3 years without it and now I'm at 210lbs. I started at 160lbs. I don't think the supplements are necessary. If you want to really get results, eat good, stay healthy, and workout. Make it a daily routing, of course resting is good too.

  • Check out the amount of free glutamate in Tomatoes.

  • do you even lift bro?

  • @likeabus what does that hav to do wit the Science (facts)

  • @thallious9876

I'm not taking advice on workout supplements from someone who doesn't look like they workout.. strong traps

  • Muscle milk isn't crap, in fact its the only protein drink that has given me noticable gains. Maybe what works for me doesn't work for you though.

  • @MrMadmardin he said it work!! but check ur grades in school in 2yrs. an the fact u didnt even hear him say it works! it kills brain cells

  • @thallious9876

    "Check my grades in school"

I'm 29 years old and work full time you little child haha

  • @thallious9876 So does alcohol, people still do fine.

  • ive got muscle milk chocolate flavor and let me tell you its delicious and nutritious and gunna drink even more now so you know what you can do with your tubs of shit, stick them up your ass!

  • Sean, what about Ms Dash chipotle with no msg? they state in the ingredients natural and artificial flavs.

  • wow this guys is good. He should go to Harvard and tell their football coaches to not to supply muscle milk to their players anymore xD

  • What r the one protein that u showed us

  • @jfbarizona Jarrow Brand, I just saw it in Whole Food Market(duh!)

  • You realize this is like all Protein powders lol?

  • Wow dis brother broke it down to well !!! Never again will muscle milk go into my body !!! Thanks a million 4dis video dude !!!

  • looks like 73 people are retarded from msg

  • What's that whey protein he showed? what's it called?

  • is syntha 6 good? i just ordered it online, but then i saw this video, and now i dont know if i should do something else.

  • why does every major D1 university give it to their athletes?

  • @SenorChiclets

He's not saying that it doesn't help gain muscle effectively. He's saying in the long term it's bad for you. I doubt the D1 University give a crap if there players get cancer/diseases 20 years from now.

  • FDA feeding death to Americans.... I like it

  • thanks so much for this info i started working out a few a weeks ago and ive been using muscle milk. thanks to this video i can save myself. Im definetely gona start using the ones you recommended. i need to get swoll that way im ready for revolution against this corrupt ass government :D

  • Muscle milk gave my results

but it also gave me acne side burns which i needed proactive to fix

  • So to end this spam , i want to say a big thnx for your effort that sharing your knowledge with us , making us think seriously what we are about to put inside our bodies.

Dont have more words to describe my gratitude to people like you. I hope my example bellow also help some people decide wisely.

    cya!! :)

  • My doctor was insisting that i was on medicines or even alcohol/drugs otherwise GGT alone couldnt be high.

I was like "" but whey protein is good".. When i told him i take whey as supplement he smiled and said me.. Stop it and in 1 month i assure you your livers GGT will be ok..!!

I was like "" wtf is goin on"". I stopped it. GGT was ok 1 month after. From then i didnt ever took any supplements. I still got nice results with natural foods alone.

I was wrong and i bet millions others are.

  • You opened my eyes IN MANY ways my friend.

I was victim of fitness marketing and and their "natural" supplements ( whey protein ) and all this hype. I was reading the wrong forums ( forums that actually were sellling all this "natural" supplements)

After 8 months of daily usage of 2 scoops ( didnt take 3 since i had read some articles said too much whey protein might cause liver or kidney probs) i went for blood checkup.

GGT was bad.!! Guess whose fault it was...Natural my ASS.

  • not only muscle milk all protiein drinks are crap not only that they have heavy metals in them most if not all have arifiicial sweeteners in them like aspartame, phenylalanine, acesulfame k, stevia all man made chemicals that are bad for you....witch can cause headaecs, cancer, diabeties, and a whole bunch of other issues ..you want more protien in yu diet eat more beans skinless chicken lean meats turkey, egg whites, don't buy protein powders please your wasting your money and your health....

  • the first claim you made was that sodium caseinate is a form of MSG. in fact it is NOT a form of MSG. can you explain why you thought that it might be? your credibility got to the point where i didn't bother looking up anything else

  • the muscle milk in bottles is more healthier than the big powder drink

  • which muscle milk has trans fat mine says trans fat 0g

  • you should do a follow up on the heavy metals found in muscle milk

  • This goes to show black people don't kno shi+

  • what shake do you reccommend? i use iso 100

  • @HurricaneReign3 sorry i didnt look at the end of the vid

  • Thank you for informative post about ineffective supplements...Keep the informative coming..

  • I see your point, but why zero in on Muscle Milk? Why not all the other thousands of products with all that junk in it?

  • brain cells dont regenerate......

  • MUSCLE MILK WORKS

  • Hi, I am a bit confuse. I saw one of your videos and you suggest for curbing cravings to use L-Glutamine. Is it different from MSG?

  • @buxilala

yeah, thats L- Glutamine, he's talking about Glutamate.

  • What are you talking about?

Glutamic acid is an AMINO ACID.

It's in protein because proteins are polymeres of amino acids.

YOU are made of proteins which are made of amino acids.

Protein powders have amino acid profiles on them.

    What are you talking about?

  • @trakkaton yes but the body cannot absorb it in as high a concentration as what is dosed in this product i.e. it floods the blood brain barrier

  • @kriley18

How would that be a problem of Muscle Milk but not of any other Protein i.e. Food?

Btw crossing the blood brain barrier is a question of lipophilia, not of concentration.

Btw neither glutamic acid nor its salt or its amide is lipophilic.

Btw any glutamate that enters the body through enteral uptake needs to pass the liver first, which functions as a buffer.

I think the position in this video are not backed up by anything (studies? explanations? sources?) for a reason.

  • So like I'm trying muscle milk right now no matter about this video. What's the point of being SO scientific in the comments? Its not gonna stop people from buying muscle milk

  • What you have with MSG, I have with High Fructose Corn Syrup.

    Fuckin' favorited

  • it's killing...brain ells. might as well say"youve got...a peper-cut" with dramatic music playing. cellular regeneration, Einstein. look it up.

  • I drink muscle milk cause clay matthews does :)

  • Why is MSG in Muscle Milk?

  • so if its so bad what do you suggest to take to increase muscles

  • @uchiha345x3 Working out and diet increases muscles. It's called "supplement" for a reason. if you *really* think the only way to increase muscles is through protein shakes, you have a horrible life style ahead of you. But, if you want to know a much much better product, get ON gold standard.

  • @OxMatic got any comments that ARENT adverts?

  • Thanks for putting this out there!!! I wish more people cared to take a look (& do some research) about the ingredients on their food label. I highly recommend that book by Dr. Russell Blaylock. As someone who suffers sever sensitivity MSG... & has done a lot of research: This Information is important!! I'm glad your reaching those who are trying to make healthy choices & educating them farther. Too much glutamate in the brain also speeds up the rate of free radical damage.

  • IDIOTS. It should not surprise you that there is a "scientific" premise for muscle milk. It was made in a laboratory. Just like the guys wearing red shirts at GNC you all think you are experts but have zero medical training. Supplements such as muscle milk do give results, but they contain toxic chemicals which may or may not harm you down the road. Those are the facts.

  • @sawaftar amen

  • He's right the stuff is not good for you. I don't see what the idiots are arguing with him about.

  • @sawaftar What a helpful comment. Thanks for sharing. I especially liked the part where you didn't contribute anything substantive while simultaneously failing to understand the scientific bases (discussed at length in this thread) for disproving some of Sean Croxton's statements.

  • hey friend... any idea of any other brand i could get? i mean, you showed one, but i'm in brazil... it'd be easier to get a more famous brand, that is a meal replacement, any ideas? thxxx

  • damnnnnnnn... muscle milk has MSG? =( i didn't know that... fuuuuuuck... =/

  • Dude, do you realize how many things you eat on a daily basis that include monosodium glutamate? You may be bullshitting yourself at least slightly.

  • @illnemesis001. NOthing I consume has MSG in it. I make sure of it. I ALWAYS read canned food labels. I know the names of additives that are NOT named MSG which contain MSG and are used for flavor enhancement. I only eat out at restaurants I KNOW do NOT use MSG or I don't eat out.

  • Is there MSG in some other Protein Powder? :O

  • Is it only Muscle Milk that has MSG? Or some other protein powder :O ??

  • I was taking it for awhile and it has the best taste, but after sometime my kidneys would vibrate repeatedly while on the product. So I took a week off and had no problem, but tried it again and the same vibrating sensation returned. NO Muscle Milk for me.

  • Which is more harmful...taking Muscle Milk or smoking BC weed 3 times a weeks?

eather way im sticking with both lol

  • GLUTES!!!!!!!!!!

  • I bet you got dust on your tubs. You were probably a freshman and still on the tit. FUK U FU. Lift and wipe the dust off of your snatch and grow a set of balls.

  • Alot of whey protein is crap! You got to get grass fed cows whey. It is by FAR better. I suggest warrior whey by Ori Hofmekler. He has the best on the market today i believe.

  • @charles555558 Um... wow. Do you not realize that "whey protein" from a grass fed cow will be structurally and chemically identical to "whey protein" from a cow fed anything else? The primary amino acid sequence of a protein doesn't change because your diet does.

  • @clmarion Lol there is a difference in the whey is from grass fed cows. The amino acid percentage will be slightly higher so that makes for a big difference. What is wrong is they feed them estrogen and other things to make them gain weight. I hate muscle milk too cause its over processed and key amino acids molo and cysteine are depleted in the processing. This guy is smart though. Check out ori on ihealthtube com

  • @charles555558 Okay, let's see how quickly we can resolve this. Question: Can your diet change the primary amino acid sequence of any of the proteins in your body? Yes or no?

  • uuhhmm im scared lol im about to stop drinking that shit lol.

  • i just started taking muscle milk. thankyou for your video because it caused me to do some research. looks like i'm going the old fashioned route (eating food). thanks again

  • @davidkoba I'd love to hear about your "research." What did you learn? Further, where did you learn it?

  • they say protein powders contain heavy metals too

  • @TheRogueMonk Um, you realize all tap water has "heavy metals" in them too right? The real question you should be asking is *how much* and *which* heavy metals "they say" are in protein powders.

  • They now have the ingredients for muscle milk when you click for the nutrition...

  • consumer reports found mercury, lead, in muscle aka cake batter milk.

  • @tonyvalente See my response to TheRogueMonk above. You'll find lead and mercury in tap water.

  • lol soo wat am i suppose to eat :P?

  • ill take my chances.

  • CYTOSPORT HASPROVED THAT THEY DONT HAVE MSG STFU

  • Do yourself a favor, and don't quote Paul Chek for anything. It makes you look terribly unqualified.
