  • more tq is better. for 500 bucks u chip the gti and make 40-50hp on top of stock and even more tq. what do you get with the type s for 500 bucks? a intake and cheap ass exhaust that doesn't give any hp. k20s boosted are great but until then parts are expensive and don't make much power because well its honda.

  • VW drivers shouldn't call RSX's shitty

  • looks like you need to upgrade to the 2.0T GTI they will burn RSX type s all day

  • You like extra weight? Next time don't run someone with 3 people in your car. lol

  • All these VW guys saying they can smoke an RSX, how about my turbo one, bet ya wouldn't be so cocky haha

  • K04 in the GTI can easily take you

  • No, it cannot. You dont even understand how much more power a k20 will make with the same sized turbo and the same ammount of boost, its not even close. Not even remotely close the difference is near 100whp.

  • do you even know what a K04 is? my buddy's got one and hes pushing 260 to the Wheels on low boost. on high boost hes been able to push close to 350HP and this is on a 1.8T. imagine putting it on a 2.0T no RSX will have a chance guy. not to mention u guys get half the tq we get lol

  • Do you realise that a turbo on a k20, pushing the same cfms into it as its pushing into the 1.8 will make EASILY 60+whp, period. There is no arguing this, if you put a k04 on a k20 with the same boost it will make well over 60whp more than the 1.8t with a k04. The k20r head flows over 300cfms on the intake side, you cannot argue that head/intake manifold flow doesnt directly contribute greatly to an engines power building capabilities, because it CLEARLY does.

  • Here lets make it a little more simple for you, regardless of what your buddy makes for power.

    K20 Advantages:

    Displacement

    Compression

    Head/intake manifold flow

    8200 RPM rev limit

Not only will the added compression make a huge difference, so will the extra air that will enter the engine due to less of a restriction at the ports, as well the added displacement will simply add more power as well, and the k20's ability to make POWER THROUGH REVS will add even more power.

  • hahaha do you wanna try my stage 3 gti 430 hp so you can see what happen with your piece of shit rsx??? lol

  • 60 punch on low boost?, so a 2,0 boosted rsx or a stock 1.8t vw?

  • 2005-06

rsx base model is 155 @ 6500 rpm

    160 horse @ 6800 rpm redline

    Type s 201 @ 7800 rpm

    210 horse @ 8300 rpm

  • i think ur wrong on the 210hp at 8300 i think it is still at 7800 almost 100 percent sure just looked it up, but im wonderin if the 05 has more hp is it faster? cause why would they make a slower in a new year? thnx

  • your right it is at 7800 but the HP numbers are lower because they are SAE corrected at a different ratio but on a dyno they are still 210. It was just an emissions thing thats all

  • lol that was 5 months ago man lol anyways so ur saying the 06 type s still has 210hp even though it says 201?

  • whats the horespower on an rsx stock

  • 200ish type s base is 160

  • gti's are breakfast r32's lunch, already beat both with cai ,exhaust, stage 2 clutch , r32 was lil bit harder cuz of the 4wd he took off quickr, but 3rd gear with vtec i passed him like he was in reverse sorry vdub owners

  • you know how much R32 weighs? yeah, you passed him until you had to turn lol.

  • your not beating a r32 with bolt on parts you tool

  • I think my GTI/337 WOULD SMOKE THAT RSX Type S 3x TIMES IN THE ROW!

    I beat ALL THOSE RSX's AND 5.0 MUSTANG and AUDI A4 3.0 6 speeed.

PS: don't race with extra people in the car...

  • lol. rsx has 6 spd correct? try going against a 6speed 1.8T like a 337 or 20th anniversary edition. big difference.

  • word!

  • word

  • rsx type s / nuff said

  • I burn rsx's frequently, and I need an oil change.

rolling at sixty puts the 1.8T at a dis-advantage (it's in the 0-60 that we make the best use of engine power)

third gear is just too damn long.

  • i like this guy, all too true, bottom ends are much better but i found that 80 punches are decent as well, a lot more boost.

  • you still have hell lots more torque than him

  • no he doesnt

2.0 NA making 210 vs 1.8 FI 180....only way a 1.8t can beat an rsx is if its got a GIAC chip and boosting 20+psi

trust me, my friend has a fixed 1.8t :)

  • no, he's right smart guy, youre talking horsepower he's talking torque, which my gti has 173 and his has around 141. and youre also wrong about only being able to beat one with a chip and 20 psi, thats retarded. ive beat two since i bought my car with nothing but intake, this guy pulled me hard due to my starting in 3rd at sixty with no boost and having about 450 extra lbs. 180 goes a long way with a turbo

  • 2 extra ppl makes a big difference.

  • three extra, plus luggage

  • how many passengers did you have??? It sounds like three different voices in the background.

  • three passengers, plus luggage, upwards at 450 extra pounds.

he was alone in the rsx, yet another factor to add to my loss
