Poor Bernard Flynn, the banks made him do it, and Simon Kelly smiles as he says he owes 143 milliion. The Kellys failed in the UK and left their debts behind them there too. These blokes were taking more loans to avoid paying their taxes, now they are looking for sympathy. makes me sick to listen to them.
wealth is an illusion of happiness. Now that the illusion's gone and the Irish have lost all connection to what really matters, what will they depend on?
i know how that young man feels i feel that way every day for a few hours depressed angry fustrated and just worthless curse on all the greedy people that put me and young men my age in this position i hate my country
Lenihan says that everyone expected a soft landing. That is a lie. Fianna Fail and their buddies in RTE and the Newspapers convinced people that there would be a soft landing and then sat back with their fingers crossed.
@twg20101 Thanks just watched part 3,depressing situation for the country we all love.I left Ireland 30 yrs ago and the only consolation I have for the parents watching their children leave is that not only will they have a better future here in Canada or Australia but they are only 7 hrs away by plane, takes a lot longer to go from Donegal to Cork but in saying that I think the sheer recklessness of the bankers and "developers" should not go unpunished.
@oceallaigh2003 I agree, im thinking of going to study Banking and Finance and a career in Finance and i have to say ive learnt lessons by this mess we're in. The bankers shouldve behaved more responsibley and the developers shouldve invested properly, not recklessy. It was ppls greed and their own stupidity, spending money as if it grew on trees. The banks first priority for now on, shouldnt be "profits" but the economic well-being the country(s) they work in.
The politicians and banksters never face charges, never any consequences for them.
