Well if the trick doesn't match dont use the name or part of it... Kiters "evolving" names such as the "boschmosis" and the like are the worst thing that this sport can do if it wants to be taken seriously. If you have created a whole new trick, good for you name it something new dont "evolve" a name that already exists.
If you are merely doing a trick that has already been done in another sport, give credit where credit is due.
p.s. next time you should get someone who can actually do a raley.
Hey, we just spoke to a few people and some called it a shifty raley and others a 911. We went with a Shifty Raley but tagged it as both.
The whole naming thing for tricks is all a bit crazy really as even though kiters have taken names from wakeboarding, the tricks don't always match properly, & some kiting tricks names seems to change/evolve over time depending on who has the most influence.
Either way its a good trick for advanced riders to have a go at, whatever we call it ;-)

Not really, depends whether the person you talk to knows the name of things or not.
You dont call a "bell air" a "toeside "scooped" tantrum" in your vid of it, or the KGB a "backroll backside 360" so why change things for this vid?
A shifty raley is it's description not its name.
It's called a 911.
