This was sooo funny. Takes me back to my Saturday morning cartoons as child in early 70's! 95% cartoons were on Sat. am's- 6 hrs!! Rest was after school 3:30-5pms daily,incl. Star Trek!! Ah, youth....laughed George then for one reason & laugh at it now, even more, for other reasons- I think!

THe original is much better, because you actually have to have an education, and some breadth of knowledge to get all the jokes, unlike the new version, which is simply retread sightgags that were old when Chaplin and Lloyd and Keaton did them in the 1920's, to much better effect.

Despite this animation isn't spectacular, it's still better than the new show. This one is also a lot more funnier and frankly quite original, despite its age.

Great cartoon from the sixties. The Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy weren't the first to use tongue-in-cheek humour in cartoons to reflect on contemporary social trends, although they are more sophisticated in their approach. For us kids, George was just fun, nothing else. And it still is.
