  • News: "and today, the sheep of britain have engaged in a civil war with the british army after innocent by standers were fired on in the demonstration of the better wool protests"

  • That "SAS Man" is Andy McNab...

  • the guy firing the weapon is the expert, the british army (although not the biggest army in the world certainly is the best) bought this weapon, they know what's best for them and what's affordable

  • its a gimpy, not the SA80

  • *not a SA80

  • Its GPMG ot SA80 !

  • Please change the title of this clip

  • Investigating the illegal safety flaws of the british military equipment and the dangerous operational defects being kept hidden from the public, well untill now that is.

  • I'm not impressed by any of the hand weapons they have at the moment. YOu notice all of them lack bullet proof protection of the users hand. THere should be some kind of shield to protect the user hand. You would of thought they would have hand shields to protect the persons hands whilst firing. YOu cannot fire if your hand or fingers get shot. You can tell they are just making things cheap as possible with the minimal amount of manafacturing materials.

  • @210482fmj the reason being the hands are a minute part of the body.. we in the British Army have a saying that " a soldiers feet are his most important tool " . if ANY part of the body gets hit, 9 times out of 10 your pulled away to be treated anyway, you'll never find a Det Commander who will keep a wounded man on an OP or emplacement .. there are loads more vital parts that could get hit . Think about it, if your getting shot at, theres about 10kg of steel infront of your hands.

  • @SigJohno its still a crap weapon though. A good weaposn must have a hand and finger guard to protect the user. also a bullet proof face guard would help. Arms equipment ain't very good. YOu think they would have portable bullet proof screens also to layout in front of them. YOu rare ever see any bullet proof screen. you want you r entire body to be protected from injury. A pressurized suit would work that could protect the user against cannon rounds

  • @210482fmj your a fucking dick and obviously have no idea about the military. I'm in the British Army you fucking cock. CANNON ROUNDS are you fucking serious, a Cannon is something used over 200 years ago, fuck off Youtube, your not even worth explaining the principles of protection. Fucking Dickhead.

  • @210482fmj 7 armoured Brigade, RSignals mate been in over a year so fuck off about im not in the army. We are issued state of the art equipment. Your a complete and utter idiot do u kniw the weight a a bullet prood screen? GPMG which is mounted on top of vehicles DOES have screens around it, and such things on the warriors are now remote controlled from the inside. but the whole point is, these things fire effectively over a mile, the AK47 for example is effective to 150metres. who wins? us.

  • @SigJohno I hardly would call it state of the art equipment. MOst of your rifles and projectile weapons are getting old and are under constant repair and maintenance. YOu are still using pre gulf war equipment like puma heclicopters. Those pumas don't look safe. I sawone crash near andover on my way home and from what i saw i would not want to of beeon onboard. THe new says the occupants were unharmed from what is saw there was alot of emergency vehicles leaving the scene

  • @210482fmj See your pointing out 1 piece of equipment. take for example the apache longbow, the C2 MBT, the BOWMAN, the list goes on. The L85A2 is named as the most reliable rifle in the world? and yet you moan on about one bit of kit. Try actually joining the Army and you'll see alot of kit we use the public don't even know about.

  • Comment removed

  • @210482fmj what are you gibbering on about you idiot? how old are you? because you speak like an idiot. a "dead weight" well gpmg isnt usually carried, its vehicle mounted. if you cant carry 11lb of weight then your fucking weak and should even be in the army. its not a gun, its a rifle, and we know the bloody risks thats why we join and are one of the best armies in the world. your pissing me off, go away and stop talking shit.

  • @SigJohno THe bottom line having a weapon makes you more of a target. Most people get shot when they have that weapon and are just holding it and not actually engaged. YOu could be on patrol and somebody will just shoot you from a position that you cannot see so in effect you cannot win this game

  • @SigJohno Yeah best army in the world. thats why you start illegal conflicts and murder innocent people. THe same old story all over again. We all know about the local iraqis and afghans you have harmed. If you support an organization that has harmed innocent people then you are insane. THe damage nato has done to afghans is equally as bad as the terrorists harm caused over there

  • @210482fmj i typical knob head. maybe we have 1 or 2 insane people but you can say the whole army does that? wheres your evidence that this happens all the time?

  • Comment removed

  • @210482fmj ok maybe i have no evidence we dont do it but whats your evidence we do you fucking little runt.

  • @SimplyAirsoft918 ok maybe i was just messing around about some of the things i said but i meant what i said about shields and bullet proof screens. YOu could have motorized bulletproof screens that operate remotelt to protect the operator from all incoming rounds. Its not impossible

  • @210482fmj mate the pumas are a good piece of kit( been in one through cadets) i really do not know what you are talking about but you look like an utter idiot. have you ever held a rifle. and to me it sounds like you re a dopey 21 year old that knows nothing. fucking hand guards on a weapon. do you know how much that would be to carry?

  • @SimplyAirsoft918 I saw one crash last july near andover driving home so you are the one who looks like an idiot

  • @210482fmj that doesn't mean that they are shit? it could of came down to all different factors such as weather

  • @SimplyAirsoft918 They have a pretty poor history and quite alot of them are on youtube crashing. ALso if french helicopters were anything like french cars in those days i wouldn't get into one. THe french cars like citroen were known for terrible build quality in those days. the were made in 1968. I also do think the military would coverup the details about the crew. I don't think the media was being told the truth. the emergency vehicles were leaving the scene pretty bad

  • @210482fmj maybe some people was seriously injured or they had another job? and i thought you said you was passing so how could you of seen it crash and the emergency vehicles leaving?

  • @SimplyAirsoft918 It was coming in over a a motorway into a field. I drove around and spied on the military and emergency vehicles to see what they were up to

  • @210482fmj your story just doesn't add up and from what i've seen from your previous comments you like a good moan and it seems your a bit of a wack job with your ufo theories.

  • @SigJohno ermm cannon rounds are still being used. hispano make a 20mm cannon that can be used as a platoon support weapon . Cannon rounds are typically any large calibre round over .50

  • @SigJohno fuck off youtube. I say no and fuck you. I don't give 2 hoots who you are or what you do. YOu just another specimen to me

  • @SigJohno Think of the guards you have on electric jigsaws. SOmethign like that but only bullet proof and surrounding the trigger and handle area. YOu will find it is cost why they dont do it. Even semi bullet proof material would slow down the velocity of the impact. WIth advances in technology they will make special types of gel which can disrupt bullets. We must ensure every part of the body is protected from injury. mobile armoured pods

  • @210482fmj But you don't seem to get the point, its POINTLESS. because the GPMG is normally vehicle mounted, which DOES have screens around it, it's not ment a cradle weapon ( something carried on a patrol ) . It's costs million to produce the osprey armour as it is, seriously, the Army doesn't have the money for it. A little statistic aswell, 92% of all casualties within the British forces in Afghanistan is from Roadside bombs, known as an IED. the source was from a powerpoint so unknown atm.

  • @SigJohno I wouldn't put peoples life at risk unless every area of their body was protected against any injury at all. If it was not then i would not send people into risk. Think about it the government don't wana spec the money on heasd to toe body armour like the presidents have access to. Only the presidents have indestructible protection against all know forces and combustion.

  • @SigJohno Well in an ied area they should not even be on foot at all. THey should be in vehicle with hulls at least 50 feet thick. Like those worlds largest dumper trucks they have in canada that sort of sized vehicle. Imagine somethign the size of the worlds largest dumper trucks only with added protection

  • @210482fmj Your a clear idiot, how old are you, and you are obviously a foreigner who was no idea about the military. I bet from where your from, they still use an AK47 and use helmets from the 1950s. Why don't you go back to where your from.

  • @210482fmj How the hell are we meant to move around Afghanistan inside 50ft thick hull dumper trucks? How are we even going to get them into the country.. In Afghan the Infantry move around 8 to 9 miles a day on standard manoeuvres..the land vehicles are lucky to make 4 miles.. Also the British Army falls into alliance with Her Majesty The Queen, not the government, and Her Majesty herself has final say over the British Army. Check your facts. [God save the Queen]

  • @ganjaman91 wtf!? you think the queen has the final say in the Army!? Are you a moron?

  • @210482fmj are you being serious? i think your living in the future mate. you know people are laughing at you

  • @210482fmj i haven't seen any m16's or aek's with hand guards, they would just make firing all that more complicated and get in the way of movement

  • thats a gpmg the l85 was in he first 5 seconds of the vid

  • ... That's not a SA-80

  • As sas man do you mean andy mcnab XD

  • So by SA80 you mean L7A2? Typo fail? Or incompetence?

  • @WickyWiggstaz L7A2? Do you mean the L85A2?

  • @Jacksononduty No, this video clearly has nothing to do with the SA80, it is the GPMG aka the L7A2.

The SA80A2 is the L85A2 and the L86 is the LSW variant.

  • @Jacksononduty (part 2) Ah, ignore my first reply, I thought you were asking me if the GPMG was the L85, I've only just realised that you misread my comment. No, my initial comment was saying that the video title was wrong....i.e. this video isn't about the SA80 at all, it's the GPMG or L7A2. The SA80 is the L85, I know that and I now see that's what you meant too.

  • wheres the SA-80?

  • lol how he says americans finally found sense hahaha

  • @JDFitness2011 I admit the M60 sucked because of its design.I was lucky it never failed me in combat because I carried spare recoil springs and pistons, lubed it with 30 WT oil and old advice my uncle told me when he was in Vietnam.

  • Never seen an SA80 used in the SF role before! However a gimpy is ideal. A General worked correctly with a number 2 is the bollocks.

  • I feel really really cheated after reading 3 of this guys books. Then after looking into the events and other evidence on the Bravo 2 Zero mission, to find out that a lot of the stuff on that mission was fiction.I lost a lot of respect not for the SAS regt. But for McNab and whoever else lied about details in the mission.

  • @williamblair11 How did you come to the conclusion that it was fiction?

  • @762BattleRifle This is old news that his story was rubbish. Made him a millionaire though!

  • why all the dislikes this is andy mcnab he was in the sas for a long time

  • @TheX2Productions his auto-biography of his time in the first gulf war has also been discredited.

  • @TheHordeling

    By people who weren't there

Tell it to the man's face

  • @chiki283 Don't really need to as it is taken and believed by he squaddies and they have renamed amongst themselves the SAS to the Special Author's Service because the events were disproven.

  • and for tonights dinner..... freshly skulled lamb

  • That is definitely not an SA-80 (L85A2). That is the: L7A2 General Purpose machine gun = BIG DIFFERENCE!

  • OK, I'll say it - that's not an SA80.

  • yh mannn shoot some sheep wiv a gpmg!!

  • are those sheep dead at 0:58? :D

  • @TwistedWillowTree of course there not, sheeps are worth alot of money, you can't just go and shoot them

  • @nssurge it was a joke ...

  • @TwistedWillowTree it wasn't funny ;)

  • @nssurge Haha tell that to the queen

  • @NicenEasyuk why ?

  • Guys, It's Andy McNab ! I'm being serious, you'll see these clips and others like it in his DVD, Andy McNab's Tour of Duty

  • Where was the SA80?

  • GPMG ftw. I want one in the next CoD.

  • The sheep are petrified haha

  • Andy Mcnab or Chris Ryan??

  • Ever notice how the SAS is usually seen with a Canadian C8, HK416, or US M4? Just sayin.

  • @USN1985dos Ever notice how the only time the SAS was seen was in the embassy? these probably arent SAS.

  • @Outypoo

They might be good, but there have been many pictures snapped of them in Iraq back in '04-06.

  • @USN1985dos Eh not the specialists though.

  • @Outypoo

    Specialists?

  • @USN1985dos The SAS of the SAS, the veterans if you like.

  • @Outypoo

How do you know they aren't the specialists?

  • @Outypoo Thats Andy McNab, who was indeed in the SAS - I believe he has wrote a few books, look it up

  • @garfy92 he wrote a lot of books. They're all good too :D

  • @USN1985dos Because they can choose whatever weapon they want for an operation, i think.

In Chris Ryan's book the one that got away he said the SA-80's are bad.

Bu tthat was over a decade ago.

  • @USN1985dos

As nothing else screams 'BRITISH' than the SA80.

With foreign firearms it is almost impossible to distinguish what Western (or NATO) nation they're from.

  • 8 people could'nt get into the SAS

  • It's Andy McNab

  • the gpmg is not part of the sa80 but it is still in use

  • thats how you herd sheep in britian

  • heh heh, shooting sheep

  • on the ranges we were using lsws what u think of them

  • Ill take an mg42/3 instead any day mate.

  • The sheep didn't like it.

  • Um, I didn't see an SA-80? All I saw was an FN MAG.

  • @Nater245689

So the weapon system at 12 - 16 Seconds isnt the L85 then...

However correctly he wasnt testing the standard issue weapon...he was testing the GPMG tho...

  • This guy is nuts so cool makes me wanna join the army

  • the SA-80 need a front grip just like M4A1 grip..

  • @raxaxaganaz wich it does on the carbone

  • @raxaxaganaz the sa80 stubby aka avf has a grip on it as its used by the vehical drivers and vehical staff by the brittish millitary

  • @raxaxaganaz

It does have it /facepalm. And if your American then yes the M4. British or Canadian...C8.

  • @raxaxaganaz it does, it has a Daniel Defense front rail and bi build it fore grip for operational soldiers

  • I love the GPMG my fav!!

  • @32bar agreed :)
