Oh the cigarettes! You always saw them in the '60s and '70s - you'd be thrown out the circuit if you were caught smoking in the pits today! Vic was one of the greats - during a dangerous and tragic time in the sport.
For me he was the best and one of the bravest drivers of all time, he drived all the beasts of sportscars(Porsche 917,Chaparral, Alfa Romeo t 33, Shadow, Mc Laren)!!!
