Well i heard some where hid had said in an interview for 28 days later that he thought George A Romeros Dead films were awful but i don't no if its true!
hey there, i was surprised when i read your comment. i'm happy to clear this up though, Danny Boyle was INSPIRED by ramiro's Dead Trilogy - he actually looked there for guidance for some of 28 days later. so he looks up to Ramiro's work, and tries to keep his legend going, he NEVEr said they were awful. Danny Boyle is such a talented director, interesting interview too.
i loved the beach to, i dont know why that got bad reviews-danny boyle and alex garland are one of the best teams around, and danny boyle is one of the best ever
Im from Orange and Fearne Cotton interviewed Danny Boyle for us on the Red Carpet, if you search for bafta 2009 winner danny boyle interview you'll find it!
Yeah, Danny Boyle is inspiring! Just got to talk to him- briefly- tonight at the National Board of Review awards. We gave him best picture for 'Slumdog Millionaire'- Hope he goes on to win an Oscar!
Danny Boyle is one of my most favorite Directors, he makes bloody intelligent films, that I think sometimes are drastically underrated, or pushed aside.
@Dorianflawz one of the main points are his distributors let him down big time. the money comes from worldwide, and his distributors LOVE to always give his movies limited release. slumdog millionaire was different, and look what happens.
He is an inspiration sooo much to me, he done a great zomby one its my fave except from resi evil!! well, my fave is sunshine, the soundtrack and the theme tune brings me to tears... bring on 28 months later!! =P
Me too Seamus...Danny Boyle is an ARTIST! 28 days later was a breakthru in classic horror. However I have to disagree with you on Resident Evil...it was a poor imitation of a movie. It was basically a "Let's see how cool we can make Mila Jovovitch!" film, laced with zombies here and there and a plot weaker than a watered-down cup of coffee.
And yea...28 months later would be great except that Danny Boyle doesn't ever make the same movie twice. Or so ive heard.
yeah dont get me wrong, compared to the games of resident evil, i was soooooooo dissappointed with the movies!! 28 days later IS my fave!!=P
i was thinkin of doing a tribute, its hard though... I cant wait for resi degeneration thou, it looks great!! Leon & claire true to the games!!!! YAY!!!! =)
i've loved a lot of his work including sunshine... i think the only problem that interferes with Boyle's work is that there isn't much advertisement. None of my friends have ever heard of sunshine until i had lent them the dvd. From that point they loved it. Boyle's recognition would multiply if he would only let people know his work is there.
i agree man. the beach is really underrated. the plot isnt meant for little kids like avatar.
The beach has a great plot i really enjoyed it.

Sunshine is one of my favorite movies, it's genius. 28 days later is great, 28 weeks later is shit (it was directed by someone else).
