The tone sucks cause the amp is not properly mic'ed. veryone is trying to show off by saying "oh that guitar sucks get better pickups/amp" 1) It's a Gibson..enough said they are the best. 2) You can't even see the amp so you don't know what it is and 3) like i said it sounds like the amp is not even mic'ed at al they are just just using the on board mic from the camera.

Yeah, Kurt does play higher on the fretboard but it's the same notes in the same octave... just a different location. I suggest you guys study the guitar's fretboard/note location to improve your playing and not worry about "where kurt did it"
