yes you definitely painted these. looks very nice. do you know what kind of paint somebody would typically use to refinish shells like these? i also have a pearl. it's a vintage early 90's export and if you take a look at my drum tour video you can probably see it's a pretty ugly blue haha. thanks.
@passion4drums i went to an auto body place and took a pearl factory painted white shell (studio custom). he matched the color. he then sanded and painted the shells. looks very nice and professional. these shells were orignially midnight blue, and one was red. someone had painted it red and it looked like crap. the wood was perfect but the outside paint was horrable.
