  • i thought this was real!!!!! nice job!

  • @JACK206KNIGHT Thanks!!

  • I thought these were real dash 9's until I saw humongous pieces of plastic in the background lol

  • That "landscape" looks a lot like the BNSF Transcon across Norhtern Arizona east of Flagstaff. Nice train and track you have there.

  • @espeescotty Hi there, Thank you

  • Very nice!!!

  • Might want to get some differnt numbers they're all 9285 but awesome video!

  • nice! a fun but expensive hobby.

  • holy shit i totaly bought that as a real train for a bit this is amazing :D

  • @24jeffgordan88JRfan Awesome, thanks for the comment >: )

  • NICE

  • I think I commented similar on another video of yours, but anyway: those long trains with enough cars to justify more than one engine look really great!! Are all locos powered? And do you run DC or DCC? Best regards, Frank

  • @qora01m Hi Frank, thanks! Yes all engines are powered with their own sound and control installed. I'm running MTH's DCS digital control. (Wireless handheld with control communication via the track) All engines are Protosound 2 equipped. I was still working on the engines at the time so I didn't have the window shades, etc installed on them in this video. Look forward to some more videos from you too btw!

  • Great trains thought there where the real thing at first and not a model

  • @Rdrake1413 Hi there, thank you and glad you enjoyed.

  • as a true lover of deisel's raymond, i'v got to say isn't the dash-9 one of the best looker's of all time? i like them in the bnsf red and silver finish best.

  • @ELECTRICOTION You know Jim I feel the same way... the Dash-9 is my most favorite modern diesel (aside from the Union Pacific DD40). Same too on the Santa Fe Warbonnets in red and silver, best looking paint scheme ever. I do like these in black I will say tho haha. ; )

  • @rayman4449 i couldn't agree more. ;-] i'm going to make it a point to buy one of the warbonnet's in red and silver!

  • When my girls were little, I'd let them run my HO trains and I told them to operate the trains 'majestically' and they got it.

That's how I taught them to drive, too.

  • @d65fitzer Excellent, I like that.

  • I could be wrong, but it looks as though it was filmed at a higher speed, then edited to a slower pace.

    I'm extremely jealous btw

  • @98snakeeater Haha no editing on the speed. ;) Believe me this setup is very doable for most, may have to save up a little.

  • @rayman4449

I'd have to save up A LOT lol

My current layout is only decent and it has already cost me a fortune.

That's using all pre-owned locomotives and el cheapo box and flat cars from local train shows.

My wife had a fit when I spent over $400 just upgrading my cars to metal wheels

  • @98snakeeater heh she would

  • @rayman4449-Hi can you tell me what that big almost tender looking thing that is pulled behind the tender, it almost to me looks like a big generator, can you tell me what it is called, they're usually pulled by a steam train.

  • @StrikersLG Hi there, I'm not sure I know what you mean but I assume you mean the outward flair on back of each diesel locomotive? That is for cooling radiators and fans. On the real thing they have radiators on the top and fans below that suck air from the bottom and side grills and blow the air up through the top. Let me know if that is what you mean.

  • @rayman4449-uh, try looking up union pacific challenger 3985 at one of the photos it has one or two of them behind the tender, that's what I'm talking about.

  • @StrikersLG Given that the question was posted on this all diesel video I wasn't sure what you meant. Those are auxiliarly water tenders that (only) hold extra water.

  • @rayman4449-Okay, thanks again for your help. :)

  • @StrikersLG Sure thing my friend and have a good one : )

  • Nice realistic operation. Most operators run too fast.

  • @d65fitzer Thank you. I agree with you I think the slower speeds look much better.

  • Nice realistic operation.

  • I love how really this stuff looks, if the houses and stuff weren't see in the background you might think it was really lol

  • This coal drag is the best I ever seen in any scale ! Good job .......

  • @johnmventre Thanks John :)

  • @rayman4449 Did you lay the track right on the ground without any ballast? If thats how it was done, then i have to say this is one of the most realistic G scale videos i've ever seen!

  • @Fireheart528 Hi there. Thank you! Under that layer of rolled shingle material is 5/4 hardiplank concrete fiber boards so that is what provides the foundation. That back side of the layout didn't get the attention the others did when I was building it and as a result had some waves to it after it settled some which I've now fixed. Thank you for your kind comment.

  • @rayman4449 No prob. Trains are one of my favorite hobbies. Can those engines pull loaded cars that are carrying gravel or something like that?

  • @Fireheart528 I would say yes but it depends on your conditions, the steeper the grade the much harder it will be to pull them. if it was on perfectly level ground I know it could each D9 has a pull force of about 5lbs each. Only other limitation is the coupler+frame the coupler post is attached to isn't designed for extremely high forces and at some point you would break something. That said however, pulling unloaded cars it can pull more than you can generally afford lol.

  • WoW! Look at that beautiful tilt of the train as it approaches the camera...

  • dude how much track can i get for 1600 lol what a dump ass

  • dude i just a vid on a DCC with phonix sound it sound like crap. also he tried to do some weathering all he did was make it look dirty. what a ding dong

  • @dwightsolis Hey now, be nice.

  • @dwightsolis LOL

  • @dwightsolis chyeah,,,u just saw that vid...it looks great and sounds better...

  • oh ya 26 mick mick mick i am also going to kick your butt in track lay out mick mick mcik

  • @dwightsolis LMAO

  • i have 25 mick mick mick

  • @dwightsolis LOL I thought you had 26?

  • those nose lights need to be between the number boards

  • All the NS head-end power pulling all those EBT hoppers. Awesome on many levels.

  • That's MY buddy "Ray the MAN" ! "G" Scales TOP spanker!

  • Nice! to bad its low head light

  • wow sooo realistic

  • Can almost feel them go by...

  • It's interesting you say that because you really can when you are sitting next to the track. They vibrate the ground. >: )
