@Thenumber1yoshi No I said "Sonic 3" was shit, the before-lock-on game, it was missing half the levels, obviously, and the music was the same as sonic 2. Furthermore I find it annoying, despite they tried and couldn't hold all the data, that since the game was split up, you need to buy both, which both sell at full price to get the full game, thus buying two games in order to get 1, and what's worse, they did the same stupid thing with Sonic 4 which isn't that great a game to begin with.

@BloodBird01 Yeah but the finished product was very well worth buying at full price, plus if I recall at one point they were even just giving away Sonic & Knuckles (the lock on cartridge) away free with the Sega Genesis (Megadrive) during a certain period of time because I remember that it was the game that came free with the Sega Genesis I got for Christmas as a kid (I never had Sonic 3 but I did eventually play S3&K later on in My life) at least Sonic 3 and S&K were worth playing the *2bcnt.

And the complete *2bcont.*

Hang on how is that platform the 2nd boss fight took place on already that high up and the Death Egg falling from that high as well? Sure there was a cenimatic but it didn't go on long enough to go really high and Sonic didn't take that long to defeat the 2nd Robotnik boss, at least not long enough for the platform and Death Egg to be shown falling as high as they are. Aw well thats game logic for ya!

Now that I think about it you make a great point and I wish they had left that Sonic 3 boss in S3&K's Sonic story as well, but maybe not when you play as Tails since he has no insta-shield and he only has a Super form which means he'd get hurt by that boss with even all the Super Emeralds, but actually if they had left him in I wouldn't have a problem with Tails following Me there since I'd probably wouldn't mind human co-op help. But I guess they figured Knuckles needed more *2bcont.

*Continued* But I guess they figured Knuckles needed more bosses that were exclusive to him when the games were locked on to each other so they decided he'd be a Knuckles only boss for the lock-on complete adventure, shame really because it would have been fun to get revenge on him as Hyper Sonic since Hyper Knuckles proves that he can hurt a Super form but he can only do a bounce thing to a Hyper form. Really agree he should have been kept in Sonic's story in S3&K though.

@Cybershell13 actually there's alot better better medley then the S&K one in the prototype for Sonic 3 Complete(the whole game when it was being developed) check it out on youtube its awesome and you can download a hack Sonic 3C(complete) which has some of the sonic 3 music in it instead of the S7K one(like knuckles theme,miniboss etc) oh and my theory is maybe that light is from the death egg crashing in the ground to lava reef

I always play Sonic 3 by itself. Sometimes I play Sonic and Knuckles but just some of the music in Sonic 3 is better, the Sonic 3 levels are made harder; Launch Base in particular has a lot more obstacles. The last boss of course is the biggest reason. I like the simplicity of Sonic 3 also. Sometimes when I use Hyper Sonic I get that gross taste in my mouth that you get when you spend all day using cheats in a video game.

You know what stinks about the final boss of Sonic 3? If you were to conserve your rings long enough to use Super Sonic on the boss, his grabbing attack would hurt you and only give you five rings to recover with. I'm not even joking. I would love to be able to fight 3 bosses at the end of LB with Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. I think the boss fights are really easy for the most part. Why not have 3 of them instead of just 2?

I know the basic layout for S3K is to have Sonic fight different bosses than Knuckles, for the most part. But I think that last boss should definately be mandatory to fight as all characters.

I'm on the hunt for a hack that focuses on all the boss fights, one after another.

Anyone know of such hack?
