I consider ghost hunting the science of psychology and I personally don't see any restraints of any kind that don't harm people , the environment or the ghosts. I took parapsychology in college. I don't see how you could prove that you would not be hurting the ghosts however. If it hurt the ghosts I would consider it unethical unless they are harming the living. You know, I've been wondering about that too. I'm sure the concentration camps are extremely haunted. But I think the thing is that nobody, including the people who work there now as museum people, wouldn't want to mention it. Nobody wants to mention anything about a horrible past. It's a touchy subject. I know Americans who went to Germany, and it's a REALLY touchy subject that many Germans doesn't to talk about it. I think the same goes for ghosts that may still be there.

I don't think they would object to ghost hunting in those places especially in Auschwitz which is in Poland. Maybe the German camps have visiting hours and close. Not only that many death camps are outside Germany like in the Ukraine. I have relatives in Germany and my mother lost cousins in the Vermont in WW II in Russia. They just disappeared we never knew what happened to them and my uncles here were in WW II and my father was on Okinawa and iwo Jima. I also have WW II relatives in the UK.
