@justinandbritneyJLA If Henry showed himself to kind to Mary, people would start plotting for Anne's downfall. And Mary sided along with her mother, who was Anne's greatest ennemy. And even if they were just an average noble family, at that time, parents were not so close to their children.
Mary Tudor is the proof of, that people cannot be categorized as evil or good. Even though "Bloody Mary", as she is also called, might be one of the most murderous queens in the English history, she is also a woman, who I, after hearing her story, respect a lot more than most people!
Anne knows Henry loves Mary deep down, and she doesn't like it. Mary had it so bad, no wonder she turned out the way she did. Can't understand why people praise Anne Boleyn either, she was a bitch. Yeah shes interesting, and all about the drama.. but I'm not going to big her up like others.
Rlucero8335 I'm Roman Catholic and I will admit my religion has done some things I'm not proud of and the church regrets. But you're right just like any category of people we're not all bad.
@schnauzerlover1496 Yes, but many good things have happened as well, and the fact that is has been going strong since Jesus, helps us get through times of trouble.
What film/documentary is this? I like it. The actress who plays Mary is very convincing. The Queen was a great beauty who suffered a great many losses, it's a bit unfair how she is always portrayed as entirely cruel and ugly in the blockbusters.
@lilmissnosey It was a series by SHOtime called " The Tudors" the person who plays Mary tudor is Sarah Bolger. You can go to The Tudor's website and watch all the episodes really cool.
@FelipeNeriMKT I believe that it does not matter whether someone is a catholic or a protestant. If someone is bad and hurts other people all the time, and even kills them,no matter how many prayers are murmured, it is only self-righteousness and these people will never deserve Heaven. Jesus said that you must love your God and your brethren. Mary did not really like her brethren I supoose:) She wanted even her little sister,Elizabeth, dead.
@FelipeNeriMKT Okay, that is your point of view. I did not criticize the Catholic Church, I said, that the behaviour of Princess and later Queen Mary is unacceptable...She lived her life without love.
what an awful time to be a woman!!...what`s going with "her father" why is not there for her????

I am Eastern Orthodox, and will always feel a closer kinship with Rome than with the Eucharist denying Protestants.

I think she makes for her dispair by locking Elizabeth in a tower later. Although as children they were somewhat close

I love the authority in Mary's voice when she says "I will say my prayer's alone" it undeniably has the tone of a princess not a lady.
