@bloomcry as said in the description "I tried the included Microsoft WM6.5 RDP client but it's pretty useless as its max resolution of the desktop is 800x480 but without a keyboard, with keyboard access the resolution shrinks to 800x350 or something."
@tex777666 agree but on the average you don't have to do too much on a remote desktop session and 800x350 plus the dual touch zoom capability is enaough compared to the conection intensive vnc protocol. If you use a carrier data conection you will notice the difference....
@bloomcry speed/bandwidth depends on your carrier. +3Mbps is available here. Enough for VNC. And well, most desktop apps just do not run well on 800x350. Try setting your desktop to that resolution, see what app is still usable.
I do not want to setup a separate desktop just for remote desktop with just apps that work on 800x350. I want my full 1920x1280 desktop with 50 windows open available and workable. Which is possible with this VNC client. And it used to work with Logmein on previous WM6.
@tex777666 Well I use rdp for windows servers admin and it works gr8 even with 16bit colour depth.I didn't try graphical or complicated apps which is a rare case anyway...From what i saw vnc protocol as it is uses more bandwidth than rdp and implicly more data transfer for the same task.this is the point i wanted to make.
Yep, UltraVNC is good! TightVNC too but Ultra supports MS Logons. For Windows, for other OS's dunno, think for Mac it is installed by default, same for Linux etc.
song name please?
