Still, the rush methods wouldn't work in real life because America and China would actually get their vehicles out earlier. If we're talking about attacking the Chinese heartland, a terrorist group wouldn't even have the logistical means to support any vehicles. Yes but this game has a very stupid plot. Aside from the stuff with the GLA, as the Chinese you also blow up the Three Gorges Dam. The Three Gorges Dam supplies a tenth of China's power (currently, the Chinese keep adding to it so by 2020 it's no unreasonable to think it would supply more than that), the Chinese would never blow it up. It's also a sign of the GLA's suckage that they didn't do themselves.

They steal from the people they claim to be fighting for, employ chemical weapons with so little concern they're more likely to wipe themselves out then the Americans and Chinese, look they are clearly meant to come off as a straightfoward villain faction without anything redeemable, look at the quotes for their generals in ZH, they mostly just seem interested in killing. Not here, as far as we know they are just a bunch of racial sterotypes that like to kill. Their only redeeming quality, and the only redeeming part of Generals plot, was Dr. Thrax. If there is a sequel, he needs to be brought back, he's funnier than the cast of RA2.

9/11 was fresh in people's minds when this game came out, everyone was felt the need to tread lightly with terrorism, and stuff relating towers. For example, RA2's cover was changed to not have the burning world trade center.
I think EA just decided to capitalize with 9/11 and include Muslim terrorists, and while the music is good. That said, given the stupitidy of the people making the story, they just had no clue what they were trying to do. That's what I think given the constant-
changes in what they were doing with the plot. First they take Al-Queda influences and give them to Nod, rehash the setting to make it more like the original rather then TS, create a bunch of plot holes with it and the expansion, and create more plot hole with TT with forgetting about the Scrin invasion (I was looking forward to seeing that), and deciding to have Kane not want to take over the Earth and let GDI have it. They essentially rendered the hole series pointless.
I plan to have famous sayings poetry when I grow up, I also plan to have philisophly lectures and speak out on behalf of the people of the world, with my speechs I think I can get the world to get along
